NICOLE'S POV
I sat at the dinning hall with my roommate, having a nasty breakfast as usual. I was concentrating on my lousy food but it feels like I have eyes on me. I looked around the hall and I was right, Shelly and her girls are throwing daggers with their eyes.
When I first arrived here, she was in charge and she was a bully... The first thing she tried to do was to dominate me but I didn't allow it and I became her number one enemy but I don't mind because I am fucked up in the head and I need somewhere to vent.
I don't mind a little challenge and fight every now and then but not today, for the last six months, I have been a delinquent in here but lately, I have a new focus or should I say a distraction. Something else that excites me other than having a fight...
From the corner of my eyes, I saw Shelly and her crew stand up and I know they are coming to pick a fight, ordinarily I wouldn't mind but today is not the day.
"Shit." I cursed when I remembered that my roommate Ruth is seated beside me and she can't fight.
"What's wrong?"
"Get ready to run, Shelly and her girls are coming." I sat upright as I mentally calculated how many more steps it will take before they get to me.
"Okay."
At this point, I paid no mind to Ruth, I just wanted to make sure that Shelly doesn't take me unaware... Just as I felt her presence behind me, I carried my plate of oatmeal and dumped it on her face with one swift motion.
"Fuck you bitch." Shelly screamed as she suddenly brought out a knife.
I briefly wondered how she smuggled out a knife from the kitchen but I didn't dwell on it as I maneuver her jab and held her hands.
"Argh." She screamed as I twisted her wrist till she let go of the knife and I immediately stepped on it before any of her minions could get a hold of it.
I wrapped my hand tightly on her dainty neck. "Bitch, the only reason you are still alive is because I need some form of entertainment in this godforsaken jail." I squeezed her neck even more as she tapped my hand so that I can let her go. "I have killed five grown ass men and that's not even the reason I am here, I am here only because I want to... So if you ever come to me with a weapon, you won't live to tell the story." I assured her as I pushed her away with force and she crashed to the ground with her minions.
Ordinarily, I wouldn't have let her go with one or two injuries but like I said, today is Thursday and for the last one month, it has become my favorite day and the day I looked forward to... My sentence was for six months but this is my eight month here and it's all because I am a nut case, so I was assigned a therapist and he is an eye candy, I look forward to talking and hanging with him every Thursday.
Jail now suck less since I started speaking to Asher. Well I don't talk much when I am with him, I just admire his beauty and tease him a little.
"Are you okay?" Ruth asked as soon as she returned to the table, I didn't even realize when she left in the middle of all that chaos.
"Of course, I am always fine. She's lucky I am in a good mood."
"I see, you really like him huh?" I blushed at her question as I pictured his perfect handsome face.
"No, I just like the fact that I get to do something different from my normal routine." I lied but not completely.
I hate routine and I hate being restricted and that's why I hate jail. To be honest, I hate a lot of things, like the bathroom and the dinning hall. I don't just hate the bathroom because of the bad state, or because of the nasty food... It's because in the last eight months of being here, I have had my most fights in the dinning hall and bathrooms and it's so fucking disgusting.
"Kingston 42." The warden called me and I couldn't hide the smile that spread across my face because I know that it means that it's time for my therapy.
"I will see you later Ruth."
"Have fun." She teased as I left and hurried to the warden that was waiting at the entrance of the dining hall.
"Come with me." She said grumpily before leading the way.
Jail is hades and I sometimes rue my stupid decision to come here and lay low but since last month, jail has become more suferable because I know that I will get to see the most handsome therapist in the world.
"You have one hour." The warden said immediately she led me to the door.
I have been here many times already and I know how long I have with the hot doctor, yet they keep reminding me.
"Come in." Asher's deep voice resonates from inside the office and it sent shivers down my spine.
I opened the door with a big smile on my face and sashayed into the office but something was wrong. Asher looked dull and maybe even sad.
I have never seen him in a foul mood before, he is always all smiling and he always lifts my spirits. Every time I come here, I always flirt and try to seduce him but he always turns me down even though I know he likes me too but I keep trying to get under his skin because I like how uncomfortable and flustered he gets whenever I make passes at him.
"Asher, are you okay?"
"No, yes. I mean no, I am not okay."
"I know you are the shrink but we are friends now, so feel free to tell me what's wrong." There is just something about his looks and mood that makes me a little worried.
"I ... Damn." He cursed and ran his hand through his thick black hair. "I want to fuck you."
