They had her surrender and snarled at her with their sharp, long teeth. She knew she was doomed. She has finally met her end. Even if everybody forgives her and lets her go, Delta Logan won’t support them. He is dangerous. She examined her surroundings, her eyes wondering for a way out. However, it was a dead end. They were in the middle of a jungle. The only thing she could hope for was an unexpected miracle. Delta Logan strides forward, followed by Rebecca, and her witch friend, Rachael, while the rest of the lycans pack moves behind her. Instantly, an idea crept into her head. Rachael is a witch. That means she was not fast like those lycans. “You can do this,” she assured herself. As Delta Logan dived at her, at the last minute, she stepped aside and the Delta collided with a tree instead. Before any one of them could react, she dived at Rachael, her elbow aiming straight for her teeth. Before Rachael could blink, Joy’s elbow collided with her mouth and the force removed the front teeth in the process. She pushed her out of the way and then grabbed a tree branch she had seen earlier and used the force to propel her body on top of the tree. Joy was sure of one thing, she couldn't outrun Delta Logan and the pack on dry ground. But she could do it on top of trees. Dan had taught her that. He had been training her for a day like this. She swung her body on top of another tree, and then swivelled her body midair, did bar hop skills, and grabbed another branch. She could hear the rustling of leaves behind her which suggested that they were now chasing her. Yet, she did not panic. She has been in this wood many times without number, and she knew her way better than them. After jumping for what seemed like forever, she could see the exit of the woods. It was a few metres ahead of her, and that made her double her effort. She was sure that Dan would be waiting for her at the exit of the woods. She was ten yards away from the exit when Joy felt her body hitting an invisible shield. Without being told, she knew it was Rachael who cast that invisible shield. As she collided with the shield, Joy felt something she hadn’t felt before in her entire life. She felt herself getting stronger. It was like the invisible shield had just ignited something in her. However, she ignored it. She came tumbling down, ten feet downward with her head coming first. Seeing this, she closes her eyes and braces herself for the impact. Joy had expected her head to hit the earth. To her surprise, she docked with her feet. She couldn’t believe it. She opened her eyes, and they were now red. “Impossible,” Delta Logan and the rest of the lycan pack yelled in shock. “Inform Lord Darius that the half-breed is alive." Delta Logan yelled at the pack. Unfortunately, it was too late. Before any one of them could blink, she had already brought down the heads of three lycans. She was faster than anything they had ever seen. She’s indeed a ruthless half-breed. They had just brought doom to the middle land. The half-breed is back.

I had been dead for a year, my spirit tethered to my daughter, Emma, watching over her in the orphanage. Then, the director called my ex-husband, Elroy, for Emma' s urgent medical treatment, but he coldly refused, telling her, "Then let her die. It would be a convenience. She can go join her short-lived mother." A week later, Emma died at five years old, because her father wouldn' t spare the money to save her. Days later, Elroy arrived at the orphanage, believing I had faked Emma' s death to manipulate him. He pulled back the sheet covering her small body, sneering, "Very realistic. A good prop." He then picked up our daughter' s body, carried her outside, and tossed her into a dumpster, scattering raw meat around it, taunting, "Let's see how long this prop lasts when the stray dogs find it." My spirit screamed, but I was powerless as dogs tore at her. He believed I was alive, orchestrating a sick game, but I was a ghost, a silent, screaming witness to his monstrous cruelty. Why did he hate us so much? Then, I saw him with Ivonne, his childhood sweetheart, heavily pregnant, and the horrifying truth clicked: he had a new family, and he wanted Emma' s heart for his new daughter.

I had loved my fiancé, Dominic Watts, since we were children. Our marriage was supposed to be the perfect seal on a merger between our two family empires. In my last life, he stood outside my burning art studio with my stepsister, Julia, and watched me die. I screamed for him, the smoke choking me, my skin searing from the heat. "Dominic, please! Help me!" Julia clung to his arm, her face a picture of false terror. "It's too dangerous! You'll get hurt! We have to go!" And he listened. He looked at me one last time, his eyes filled with a pity that cut deeper than any flame, and then he turned and ran, leaving me to burn. Until I died, I didn't understand. The boy who promised to always protect me had just watched me burn to death. My unconditional love was the price I paid so he could be with my sister. My Wedding, My Killer, His Betrayal

My Wedding, My Killer, His Betrayal

5.0

I don't remember how I got here. One moment, a crushing weight, the roar of a furious crowd, a sharp, final pain. The next, nothing. Then, a flicker. A cold, sharp light that formed a heavy, cream-colored cardstock. Gold letters shimmered: You are cordially invited to the wedding of Ethan Davis and Mia Thompson. Ethan Davis. My uncle. The man who raised me, mentored me, then destroyed me. Mia Thompson. That' s my name. The invitation dissolved. I landed, an unseen observer, in a sun-drenched garden. At the altar, under a floral arch, stood Ethan. Then the music swelled. The bride walked down the aisle. The woman in the white dress was me. She had my face, my dark hair, even the tiny mole above my lip. But her smile was too sharp, her gaze too possessive. It was Chloe Miller. The scene ripped away. I was hurled back to the day my life ended. On a stage, my masterpiece, "Nexus," projected behind me. "This is a lie!" Chloe' s voice sliced through the applause. "She stole it! Nexus is my work!" The crowd turned savage. Cameras flashed. I sought Ethan, the one person who knew the truth. "Ethan, tell them," I begged, my voice a pathetic whisper. "Tell them the truth." He looked at me. Guilt, then cold, calculated resolve. He stepped to the microphone. "I am deeply disappointed. Our company is built on integrity. We cannot and will not tolerate intellectual theft." My death sentence. The world exploded. "Thief!" "Fraud!" Hands grabbed, tearing at my clothes. Rage-contorted faces. I fell. The last thing I saw was Ethan turning his back, his arm around Chloe, as the mob swallowed me whole. Now, a ghost at my own wedding. My uncle was marrying my murderer. The invitation said he was marrying me. The irony was a bitter taste. They wouldn't even let me rest. They' d stolen my work, my reputation, my life. Now, my very face. But a new feeling solidified within my spectral form. Rage. They would not get their happy ending. I would burn their perfect world to the ground.

The Day I Chose Differently

The Day I Chose Differently

A sharp gasp. Cold air filled my lungs as my eyes snapped open. I was in the familiar leather armchair of the Vanderbilt library, sunlight streaming in. June 10th. The day I was to choose my bride. Just moments ago, or so it felt, I was pushed from a penthouse balcony. The rain slicked my face; Seraphina' s sneering expression, Leo' s hands, then her final, venomous whisper: "You shouldn't have chosen me, Ethan. You were always too weak." Then, darkness swallowed me whole. I remembered every manipulated moment-the fake accidents, the endless lies, the plundered fortune, my shattered heart. I had chosen her, Seraphina Ashworth, only to be left a hollow shell, betrayed by the woman I loved and her conniving lover. To die such a humiliating, lonely death. Why was I back? Was this some cruel trick of fate, an unfathomably twisted joke from the universe? Could I really be reliving the very day my misery began, the day I picked the woman who would destroy me? The bitterness was overwhelming, the injustice absolute. But my hands, strong and steady now, confirmed it. I was reborn. And this time, I wouldn't be weak. I wouldn't be a fool. I would choose differently, decisively, and ensure my betrayers paid every last penny.

His Betrayal, Her Rebirth

His Betrayal, Her Rebirth

My career as a marketing strategist was unstoppable. Then Chloe Davis walked in, a new hire with a smile too bright and a chilling claim: "I'm a reborn person." She started "predicting" disasters-a major client product failure, a restaurant fire-events that strangely came true, catapulting her to prophet status. Suddenly, my data-driven expertise meant nothing. My promotion, the one I had earned, was given to Chloe. When I confided in my boyfriend and colleague, Mark, about resigning, he looked at me with cold eyes: "Mr. Thompson will think you' re a flight risk. That you' re bitter." The next day, as I prepared to quit, Mr. Thompson confronted me with fake emails, expertly crafted by Mark, showing me colluding with our biggest rival. My resignation was refused; instead, I was publicly demoted to administrative duties, stripped of my dignity. Mark, my supposed partner, stood by Chloe, a triumphant smirk on his face. The humiliation was a physical weight, pushing me to the brink. In my previous life, consumed by despair, I took my own life on the marble steps of the agency that had once been my dream. But then, my eyes snapped open. I was back in the conference room, listening to Chloe's chilling introduction: "I'm a reborn person." This time, I wasn't going to be a victim.

Stolen Youth, Reclaimed Destiny

Stolen Youth, Reclaimed Destiny

The roar of the crowd was the last thing I heard. I died on a dirty city street, falsely accused, a monster in their eyes. It all started with a gift for my 25th birthday-an antique smartwatch from Eleanor, my adoptive mother. It wasn't just a heavy, ornate trinket; it was a life-drainer. Weeks after I clasped it on, my vibrant youth withered, my hair thinned, my mind fogged. As I became a frail old woman, Eleanor, terrified of aging, grew younger, radiant with my stolen vitality. She locked me in the dusty attic, telling the world I' d had a breakdown. My only hope, Bethany, my ex-boyfriend' s fiancé, found me. She helped me escape, or so I thought. She live-streamed my chaotic flight, twisting a narrative: I was a fraud, mentally unstable, stealing from Eleanor. The crowd, incited by her online posts, saw a villain, not a victim. They closed in, their rage contorting their faces. Bethany watched, a triumphant smile on her face, as my life drained away for the second, and final, time. But death was not the end. Floating in a void, I saw Eleanor and Bethany toasting with champagne, celebrating my demise. The injustice burned through me, a rage so pure it could tear the universe apart. They had taken everything. Then, I woke up. Gasping for air, my skin smooth, my hair thick and dark-25 again. It was my birthday, the day it all started. This time, the watch wouldn' t be for me. This time, I was going to offer the "life-drainer" to Bethany. I would watch Eleanor and Bethany, two predators bound by vanity and greed, tear each other apart. This time, I would not be the victim.
