Their seven-year marriage was doomed to end. Their wedding anniversary was just a week away, and Molly discovered that her husband Walter had cheated on her. Enraged and determined to get revenge, she rushed to the hotel for an affair. Little did she expect to wake up in Greyson's room. He was the young mastermind of the largest energy group in America. Now that her relationship with Walter was damaged beyond repair, she put an end to their loveless marriage. Molly accepted it as the beginning of a new life, but fate had something unimaginable in store for her.
The operating room was empty. Molly Yin's face scrunched up in disgust as the pungent smell of disinfectant entered her nostrils. She curled up on the bed, closing her eyes in pain.
Standing next to Molly Yin was her attending doctor, Rena.
Rena reached out her hand to hold Molly Yin's forehead, as if trying to comfort her. "The baby's gone," she said softly. "You should have an abortion for the sake of your health, but as long as you drink the medications we've given you, you can still have children after the recovery."
Molly Yin nodded, her chest heaving. She took a deep breath to calm herself.
However, the bitterness clung to her throat like dried glue.
She knew how important this unborn child was. Now that that child had gone, everything that she ever had would disappear.
Rena slowly helped Molly Yin sit up on the bed.
Suddenly, a loud commotion erupted from outside of the operating room. Although they couldn't see what was happening, they could hear a man's voice.
"Let me in! I'm her husband."
Molly Yin sighed, shaking her head. It turned out, he already knew.
"Do you want him to come in?" Rena whispered.
With a moment's hesitation, Molly Yin slowly nodded, paling. "I have to face him anyway, so I might as well rip the band aid." She coughed dryly.
When the door opened, her husband stomped into the room, shooting the doctor a hard glare.
As his gaze stopped at the woman on the operating bed, his heart sank.
He held Molly's arms. She could feel the sweat beading down his palms as he asked shakily, "Where's the child? Did you have an abortion?"
Molly raised the corners of her mouth into a cold smile as tears welled up in her eyes. There was no turning back now.
"I'm asking you!" the man roared in desperation.
"Where's my baby?"
Looking straight into his eyes, Molly clenched her fists. Her fingernails dug into her palms so hard that they were going to leave bloody marks.
Although she was in pain, she didn't really care.
"Yes. I had an abortion. Now that the baby's gone, we can divorce."
Molly needed her freedom. That was why she chose this path.
It was time to put an end to their loveless marriage.
She smiled.
Her love for him was already riddled with holes and tears. This was her last ditch strategy in order to end her marriage.
Walter Wu gaped at her. He didn't expect that his wife would be so cruel to have an abortion. "How dare you? Who gave you the right?"
he demanded.
If looks could kill, she would've already been six feet under. Molly didn't know whether to be ecstatic about that or be sad.
"What do you care? This is my decision and my decision alone. You weren't the one on the operating table,"
she snapped, glaring up at the man. Although she was weak from the abortion, a cocky smile slipped its way into her lips.
Her smiling face stabbed him right in the heart.
Molly's mother-in-law stomped into the operating room after hearing of Molly's abortion. She was aware that by the time she might get there, the baby would've already been gone, but a part of her had hoped differently.
The old lady pointed her shaky hand at Molly's flat stomach. "Did you kill my grandson?"
Molly already had a five-year-old daughter. Given her history, the child in her stomach wouldn't have an easy birth.
Rena tried to inform the lady several times of this request, but Molly stopped her.
As she didn't want to disrespect her mother-in-law, Molly sighed. "The child is gone. Let Walter sign the divorce agreement please."
Now, she could only hope that her in-laws could set her free.
The old woman was trembling with rage. She reached out her hand and slapped Molly right on the face. "You wicked bitch! You dare abort your son? Your own son? Even if Walter finds another woman, you can't threaten him with his own child! Are you even human?"
Since Walter Wu wasn't willing to lay a hand on his wife, his mother decided to do it herself!
Feeling the sharp pain exploding in her cheeks, Molly lowered her head and bit her lower lip. She tried her best not to cry in front of them.
The pain in her chest deepened.
Since his mistress was already pregnant, what reason did she have for keeping hers?
The situation in the operating room was tense. Before anyone could say a word, Molly's father-in-law came bursting inside the room. "Walter! Walter! She gave birth to a healthy baby boy!"
Hearing his voice, Molly and Walter Wu shivered. In the next second, Walter sprinted out of the ward.
The old lady was overjoyed. She sneered at Molly. "It seems God bless us with a son. You've already aborted, haven't you? It doesn't matter anymore. It's women like you who deserve to be dumped."
The old lady snorted as she stomped out of the operating room to see her grandson.
Looking at her mother-in-law's retreating figure, Molly turned to her doctor.
"That woman... She gave birth to a boy?" Her voice trembled at the end.
Rena refused to look at her in the eye. "Yes. The mistress was sent to the delivery room soon after you went into surgery."
Molly fell into silence. She stared at her red hands, taking a deep breath.
Seeing how sad she was, Rena placed a hand on her shoulder. "It doesn't matter. You're free now. Isn't that better?"
Dumbfounded, Molly slowly nodded her head.
"It's destiny I guess." Molly burst into dry laughter. "How ironic! The bitch actually gave birth to a boy, just what they all wanted."
Leaning back on her bed, she let the tears fall.
After the exhausting years of marriage, Molly was tired.
It was time to move on. Besides, ever since that woman had entered into their marriage, Molly already knew that she was meant to lose.
"I've warned you from the beginning. Don't marry him, but you won't listen." Darcy stood close to me and smiled with concern. "You're not a woman worthy of a man as handsome, rich, smart, and virile as Blaze." My whole body trembled at her words. "Have you no shame?" I asked. "Take a good look at yourself, Heather." She stared at me in the mirror. "You can't even glance at your ugly face. Do you think Blaze can endure a lifetime of gazing at that scar?" Heather Bailey got a surprise from her husband: a divorce agreement. After a year of marriage and facing ups and downs, she couldn't believe Blaze intended to divorce her. She was devastated when she saw him gazing lovingly at another woman. After signing the divorce papers, shockwaves caught her up. Her flower shop was burned to the ground. "You're a creepy bastard." His eyes smolder me and his answering grin is nothing short of beautiful. Deadly. "Yet you hunger for me. Tell me, this appetite of yours, does it always tend toward 'creepy bastards'?" **** Widower and ex-boss to the Mafia, Zefiro Della Rocca, has an unhealthy fixation on the woman nextdoor. It began as a coincidence, growing into mere curiosity, and soon, it was an itch he couldn't ignore, like a quick fix of crack for an addict. He didn't know her name, but he knew every inch of her skin, how it flushed when she climaxed, her favourite novel and that every night she contemplated suicide. He didn't want to care, despising his rapt fascination of the woman. She was in love with her abusive husband. She was married, bound by a contract to the Bratva's hitman. She was off-limits. But when Zefiro wanted something, it was with an intensity that bordered on madness. He obsessed, possessed, owned. There'd be bloodshed if he touched her, but the sight of blood always did fascinate him. * When Susanna flees from her husband, she stumbles right into the arms of her devilishly handsome neighbour with a brooding glare. He couldn't stand her, but she needed him, if she was ever going to escape her husband who now wanted her dead. Better the devil you know than the angel you don't. She should have recalled that before hopping into Zefiro's car and letting him whisk her away to Italy. Maybe then, she wouldn't have started an affair with him. He was the only man who touched her right, and the crazy man took no small pains in ensuring he would be the last.

"Is it considered betrayal to develop feelings for your best friend's boyfriend? What about when fate intervenes, and he turns out to be your destined mate? You might think it's luck and thank the moon goddess for such a twist of fate. That's what I believed until the love of my life uttered those dreaded words: 'I want a divorce!' As I stared at the pregnancy test in my hands, I realized it was better to keep my secret to myself. My name is Violet, and this is my story."
"Miss Brown, I am the butler here at your service," the butler replied. "My master wants to buy the baby in your belly." "What?!" Does that mean the abortion didn't take place? Did they kidnap her from the operating table just to buy the baby? But why her? "You..." Alice was about to ask a question, but the man in front of her calmly continued, as if he had expected her question, "You're pregnant with his child, and he needs a child. That's all I can tell you."
