"Don't try to say it please? Just live.. live the way how you live.. y-your life before I came in. You're the best thing that I ever have." He said before he starts to drive the car away from us.
"Don't try to say it please? Just live.. live the way how you live.. y-your life before I came in. You're the best thing that I ever have." He said before he starts to drive the car away from us.
"Don't try to say it please? Just live.. live the way how you live.. y-your life before I came in. Always remember that you're the best thing that I ever have." He said before he push me towards the water.
"Okay time's up! Finish or not pass your paper!"
I was woken up by the voice of one of our proctor that roared in side the four corners of the auditorium. I fall asleep while answering the last item on my exam. I look around to see if the other proctor see me taking a nap.
Thank God. She's busy on her phone.
I look around and I could see some of my batch are panicking while writing their answers on the answer sheets.
"Late papers won't be accepted! Make sure to write what set are you. For those who are finish pass it on the front then you can go."
Upon hearing his last sentence, I got up and pass my answer sheet. Then I walk out of that room quietly.
I can see the excitement in everyone's eyes. It's our last day of final examination. At last I can now have a decent sleep.
I sat in one of the benches under the apple mango tree, while waiting for them to get out of that room.
"Your set A right? So what's your answer on number 35?"
"It's letter D, none of the above. The right answer is 450 000."
"I thought it's C? 550 000?"
"Nah.. the 100 000 is a bank error because it is mistakenly credited to the X company's account. You should deduct it to X account. Cause it should be credited to XY account."
I heard a bunch of girls discussing their answers.
Psh. What's use of discussing it? The semester already ended but they still bothered by that?
Can they atleast relax?
Now that the semester's over they can do whatever they want.
I just put my earphones on and listen to some kpop songs.
🎶Cheot beonjae naye kkumeuro gaedeuk chaeun ilgijang Naegen gin bam kkobak saeun memory Jogeumeun eorigo yuchihae useulji molla Geuttaen neomudo ganjeolhaetteon moseubdeul Jogeum himdeulji molla Uljido molla Andeol georaneun shiseondeul Geureol ttaemada naega kkumkkweoon Meon miraereul georyeobwa~🎶
Someone keeps on poking me but I got carried away listening ro the song. Until someone grabs my earphones and shouted at my ear.
"Lax!"
"What the?!" I angrily look at her.
"Come on guys relax... exam's over, you should loosen up." Nera stand between us to stop the tension from building up.
"Psh..what took you so long? How many kilometers did the two of you walk, for you to get out of that hell hole?"
"You're so grumpy as always...Well it's just that the guys planned that we'll drink 'til we drop. Since exam's over and we know you gone again. So we will celebrate our last days because next sem we'll be very busy since we're graduating. So pretty please come with us?"
Jax begged me while batting her eyes. I gathered my things and sighed heavily.
"Uhhhh...hmmm? Okay.."
They both shrieked in excitement. Some of the girls look at us annoyingly especially those bitch looking nerds.
I pulled them and go out of school premises.
"Bye guys! Just tell me where we going and I'll be there."
I waved at them as I walk my way home. After ten-minute walk I arrive at my unit. I put my bag in my study table. And laid down on bed to take a nap.
A phone call woke me up from my peaceful slumber. I answered it right away and didn't bother to look at the caller ID.
"Hello," I answered with a hoarse voice.
"Hey, Where are you?!" Jax shouted from the other line. There's someone singing from the background.
"Uh... I just woke up, sorry I'll be there in thirty."
Then I ended the call. I hurriedly get out of bed and take a quick shower. After that I blowdry my hair and put some clothes on. I opt to waer an off shoulder top and a black high waisted skinny jeans. And pair it with my ankle boots.
I put some make up and tie my hair in a high pony tail. After that I grab my pouch and put my keys inside.
I go out of my unit to book for a cab, but I see a familiar face outside the gate leaning on a red mazda.
I opened the gate and go near him.
"Hop in, the two instructed me to fetch you. I texted you after Jax made a call."
"Oh.. sorry I didn't open my phone,"
He opened the passenger door for me. I got inside then he turn around and opened the door of a driver's seat. After he seated he start the engine.
"Seatbelt,"
"Ah...okay," I nervously put my seatbelt on. I don't know why I'm feeling this. We're not close we just talk when necessary. And my first impression of him is not that good. Awkward silence enveloped us.
So I just busied myself looking outside the window. It's better this way 'cause I don't know how to socialized with him at all. It's not my hobby to start the conversation first. So why bother? And the city lights looks good to watch.
"We're here," he broked the silence. I glanced outside we're in one of the famous KTV bar. I read the signage outside the entrance of the building.
"Area 21," I mumbled. I took my seatbelt off and get out of the car. I silently followed him inside.
As we got nearer I can hear Stella's voice one of the friends of Nera who also became my acquaintance. "Oh she's singing" I said to myself. We entered inside a room and they're already in there drinking and having fun. He ushured me to sit in the sofa. I seat beside Kea who's busy munching on nachos.
"Here," he give me a glass of cosmopolitan.
"Thanks,"
I just keep on playing with my drink. As far as I want to enjoy this night. I can't because of the person that is sitting next to me. I wished I have a confidence like Nera who is busy talking with the other girls.
She carries her simple outfit confidently. Looks like I'm just a wall flower in this group. Why did I say yes in the first place? What's gotten into my mind to come here? Ugh! Yeah it's because of that stupid Audit Probs! How I wish I could turn back time and say NO to Jax.
I just sighed heavily which makes Max turn to me.
"You okay?" He ask me.
"Yeah... it's just that I'm tired," I reasoned out.
"You want me to take you home?"
"No..it's okay, maybe I'm not used with this drink that's why."
Fudge Lax! What a lame excuse you have.
"Hey Lax! Come, sing with me!"
Jax smiled widely at me while holding a microphone. Nera pulled me towards Jax. If looks could kill Nera should be dead by now. Because of the deadly glares that I send to her.
"Guy! Let's welcome the dynamic duo... Lavander Xamira Samaniego and Jasmin Xylona Villamonte!"
Nera announced happily. Everyone cheered for us.
"Go Lax you can do it!" Kea shouted while her mouth is full of nachos.
I closed my eyes and take a deep breath. Okay you can do this.. It's just one song then you can go back to your seat.
Jax smiled at me and mouthed "Let's do this!"
I smiled at her as a sign that I'm ready. She press some numbers on a remote button and after that the song starts to play. Okay there's no turning back.

In order to fulfill her grandfather's last wish, Stella entered into a hasty marriage with an ordinary man she had never met before. However, even after becoming husband and wife on paper, they each led separate lives, barely crossing paths. A year later, Stella returned to Seamarsh City, hoping to finally meet her mysterious husband. To her astonishment, he sent her a text message, unexpectedly pleading for a divorce without ever having met her in person. Gritting her teeth, Stella replied, "So be it. Let’s get a divorce!" Following that, Stella made a bold move and joined the Prosperity Group, where she became a public relations officer that worked directly for the company’s CEO, Matthew. The handsome and enigmatic CEO was already bound in matrimony, and was known to be unwaveringly devoted to his wife in private. Unbeknownst to Stella, her mysterious husband was actually her boss, in his alternate identity! Determined to focus on her career, Stella deliberately kept her distance from the CEO, although she couldn't help but notice his deliberate attempts to get close to her. As time went on, her elusive husband had a change of heart. He suddenly refused to proceed with the divorce. When would his alternate identity be uncovered? Amidst a tumultuous blend of deception and profound love, what destiny awaited them?
"Stella once savored Marc's devotion, yet his covert cruelty cut deep. She torched their wedding portrait at his feet while he sent flirty messages to his mistress. With her chest tight and eyes blazing, Stella delivered a sharp slap. Then she deleted her identity, signed onto a classified research mission, vanished without a trace, and left him a hidden bombshell. On launch day she vanished; that same dawn Marc's empire crumbled. All he unearthed was her death certificate, and he shattered. When they met again, a gala spotlighted Stella beside a tycoon. Marc begged. With a smirk, she said, ""Out of your league, darling."
Belinda thought after divorce, they would part ways for good - he could live his life on his own terms, while she could indulge in the rest of hers. However, fate had other plans in store. "My darling, I was wrong. Would you please come back to me?" The man, whom she once loved deeply, lowered his once proud head humbly. "I beg you to return to me." Belinda coldly pushed away the bouquet of flowers he had offered her and coolly replied, "It's too late. The bridge has been burned, and the ashes have long since scattered to the wind!"
My world revolved around Jax Harding, my older brother's captivating rockstar friend. From sixteen, I adored him; at eighteen, I clung to his casual promise: "When you're 22, maybe I'll settle down." That offhand comment became my life's beacon, guiding every choice, meticulously planning my twenty-second birthday as our destiny. But on that pivotal day in a Lower East Side bar, clutching my gift, my dream exploded. I overheard Jax' s cold voice: "Can't believe Savvy's showing up. She' s still hung up on that stupid thing I said." Then the crushing plot: "We' re gonna tell Savvy I' m engaged to Chloe, maybe even hint she' s pregnant. That should scare her off." My gift, my future, slipped from my numb fingers. I fled into the cold New York rain, devastated by betrayal. Later, Jax introduced Chloe as his "fiancée" while his bandmates mocked my "adorable crush"-he did nothing. As an art installation fell, he saved Chloe, abandoning me to severe injury. In the hospital, he came for "damage control," then shockingly shoved me into a fountain, leaving me to bleed, calling me a "jealous psycho." How could the man I loved, who once saved me, become this cruel and publicly humiliate me? Why was my devotion seen as an annoyance to be brutally extinguished with lies and assault? Was I just a problem, my loyalty met with hatred? I would not be his victim. Injured and betrayed, I made an unshakeable vow: I was done. I blocked his number and everyone connected to him, severing ties. This was not an escape; this was my rebirth. Florence awaited, a new life on my terms, unburdened by broken promises.
At their wedding night, Kayla caught her brand-new husband cheating. Reeling and half-drunk, she staggered into the wrong suite and collapsed into a stranger's arms. Sunrise brought a pounding head-and the discovery she was pregnant. The father? A supremely powerful tycoon who happened to be her husband's ruthless uncle. Panicked, she tried to run, but he barred the door with a faint, dangerous smile. When the cheating ex begged, Kayla lifted her chin and declared, "Want a second chance at us? Ask your uncle." The tycoon pulled her close. "She's my wife now." The ex gasped, "What!?"
Abandoned as a child and orphaned by murder, Kathryn swore she'd reclaim every shred of her stolen birthright. When she returned, society called her an unpolished love-child, scoffing that Evan had lost his mind to marry her. Only Evan knew the truth: the quiet woman he cradled like porcelain hid secrets enough to set the city trembling. She doubled as a legendary healer, an elusive hacker, and the royal court's favorite perfumer. At meetings, the directors groaned at the lovey-dovey couple, "Does she really have to be here?" Evan shrugged. "Happy wife, happy life." Soon her masks fell, and those who sneered bowed in awe.
