Around 6:00pm
I sat down in my bed operating my laptop searching for online jobs I could do when my mum shouted my name aggressively "Astrid!!" I could sense the anger in her voice, I stood up and went up to her in the parlour.....
She sat down operating her phone, feeling my presence she stood up and landed a hot slap on my face I touched my face i could feel the hotness inside me, tears feld my eyes as I pour them out..
"Mom, what have I done for you to hit me so hard?" i asked her softly...
"How dare you question me..should i remember you to wash my clothes, sweep the house, mop the floor and wash the dishes are you not matured enough to take care of the house" she shouted more at me and I cried the more..
"But mom, sophy(the only maid) is supposed to be the one doing the work they do pay her for it""
"Will you shut your trash before I hit you... So all you want to do is to eat and sleep and become lazy like an animal right"
But mom...
"You better go and do what I told you before I tear you down"
She hesitated and I ran to my room crying...
What kind of life is this, why do my parents treat me so horribly to the extent of even maltreating and beating me.... sometimes I feel like I was adopted by them... I left my room and went to the kitchen and found sophy cooking my favourite meal... I inhaled the sweet smell thinking it will make me feel okay but I still feel depressed
"Ma, are you feeling alright"
"Yes, i am don't mind my moody face, please where are all the dirty dishes"I asked her looking for the dishes to wash....
"Oh! I already wash them no need to worry and I already help you with every other work your mom gave you"
"Thank you so much sophy"
"You are welcome Ma Astrid, I heard your mom shouting at you, hope there is nothing wrong" she asked looking worried
"No, it's nothing, and thanks again" she beamed a smile at me
Sophy is the only one I could call my friend in the whole town.... everybody dislikes me saying that am a bad luck to them which I don't get... I really love sophy as my own sister and I wish she was...
"So what are you cooking" she smiled
"Your favourite of cause.. rice and peperone spices with your favourite soup"
"Awwn.. Thank you sophy, you really made my day, so how can I help"
She taught me how to cook right from when she started working in my home or let me say my dad's home...
"No need I can handle this on my own"
"Come on, I want to help ...please"
"Okay fine, you can help me with the carrots" I took some carrots and started slicing it...
*Olly Pov*
"Lillie, please don't leave me again"
"Don't worry olly, I will come back for you, just be patience"
"Patience? I have waited enough, I really need you by my side now"
"Am sorry but it can't be possible"
"No! please" tears fled my eyes
*wakes up*
Oh my God, what a weird dream.... I wondered why this same girl is always reoccurring in my dreams *knocks*
"Come in" Mate walks in
"Hey man"
"What'sup dude. Why the frightened face?"
"I just had one of the weirdest dreams I have been having for a long time now"
"What is it all about?" He asked me
"It's about a girl I have been seeing in my dreams repeatedly and it's like we are getting acquitted. It's kinda creepy and exciting at the same time..dude"
"Yeah, yeah cut the crap and get dressed we are going out"
"Where exactly?"
"THE BRO ZONE"
The Bro what!?" I asked him looking surprised
"Dude don't tell me you haven't been to the BRO ZONE, it's a place where guyz like us can go and enjoy out lives to the fullest and it's new in town... This life is full of enjoyment and fantacies and you won't get a second Chance to live it the way you want and not exactly bothering yourself over a girl who keeps appearing and re-appearing in your dreams so get dressed and let's start going".....
"Okay, Mr preacher spare me the sermon I'll get dressed already"...
I stood up and went to my closet to pick one of my favourite outfits..
"Speaking of the creepy girl, is she pretty?" Nate asked sarcastically
"Yes, she is pretty and I told you before I don't know her that much.. she is from my dreams dummy" I joked and we both laughed...

I squealed in pain as I fell back on the bed holding my face firmly and crying even harder...
"If you know what is good for you, you better go down there, get the materials for cleaning and go down to the basement and clean it from start to end. I want the place sparkly clean so clean that I can see my reflection in it" she said looking unconcerned....
"But mom, that place has not been cleaned in years now and it will need numerous and many assistance for that place to be as clean as you described" I complained...

Her love for him forced her to sacrifice her self-worth and her dreams. When Lucas' true love reappeared, Belinda realized that their marriage was a sham from the start, a ploy to save another woman's life. She signed the divorce papers and left. Realizing his mistakes, Colton expressed his regret. "I know I messed up. Please, give me another chance." Yet, Kellan, a once-disabled tycoon, stood up from his wheelchair, took Allison's hand, and scoffed dismissively, "You think she'll take you back? Dream on."
Elodie took a deep breath and knocked, the sound echoing in the quiet corridor. A moment of silence passed, broken only by the pounding of her heart. Finally, the door snicked open, revealing a surprised Dashiell. 'Can't you see the Do Not Disturb sign? We don't want-' His initial frown quickly morphed into confusion at the sight of his wife. 'What are you doing here?' he demanded. 'Your girlfriend invited me,' Elodie replied, her voice laced with icy calm. She tried to peer past him, but his broad frame blocked the view. A saccharine voice chimed in from within the room. 'Elodie? Oh dear, we didn't mean for you to find out this way. It's just that-' Elodie cut her short. 'Oh please, Selene. Spare me the fake apologies. You wouldn't have sent me all those texts if you didn't want me to know.' Dashiell shifted uncomfortably, his face a mask of annoyance. 'What texts?' Elodie stepped past him, taking in the luxurious suite with a sardonic smile. The king-sized bed, the scattered rose petals, the lingering scent of sex – it all painted a vivid picture of their betrayal. She looked up at Dashiell, her gaze unwavering. 'I want a divorce.' ****** Dashiell lived a life of luxury, surrounded by the best things money could buy. But when a car accident left him vulnerable, he met Elodie, a seemingly ordinary woman who nursed him back to health. Mistaking her for just another employee, Dashiell entered into a loveless marriage with her solely for convenience. However, fate had a different script in store. Elodie, the 'ordinary nurse,' held a secret more precious than any diamond: she was the sole heiress to Northstar, a vast and powerful enterprise. Unaware of her true identity, Dashiell cast her aside when his ex-girlfriend returned, leaving Elodie humiliated. But Elodie was not one to be easily broken. She shed the facade of the meek nurse, reclaiming her rightful inheritance and stepping into the role of Northstar's CEO. Now, the woman Dashiell discarded was the one holding the reins of power. As Elodie thrives in her new role, Dashiell is consumed by regret. He finally sees Elodie for the extraordinary woman she truly is, realising the depth of his mistake. But will his remorse be enough to win back the heart he so carelessly discarded?
