Miami,13 January 2012,callo ocho.
Monday morning, everyone was cheerfully and bright, and couldn't wait for for the contest to begin. Meanwhile the contestants tried to stay calm before the show.
Parents took their seats, friends and family waited for their relatives performance with jittery thoughts and hopes of them taking the win.
Olivia Bloss was the first to be called out by the MC. A sixteen year old girl with her thick lashed sea blue eyes and her her blonde hair and a resemblance to her father.
She came upon the stage with her glittering outfits and a guitar. Usually, this was the time for stage fright to take place but you could trust her to overcome that certain habit of freezing up on stage. SO things went smoothly for her. But there were none more competitors so she couldn't spell relief.
The next were two girls , a team, in the same outfit. One was Frankie Taylor, with her scarlet hair and aquamarine eyes, seventeen, same height as the other girl. Betty Asch, brunette, azure eyes, seventeen and self confident.
As for Frankie, she'd had stage fright form day one, but when she had met Betty everything changed. They became a known team called the 'Vixens', going to tons of competitions and rocking the stage I will add.
The danced to a beatbox song bringing fire to the dance floor and creating estatic applauses, whistles and screams.
The next was a guy called Erin Darke. Jet black hair, icy blue eyes, eighteen and looked like a younger version of his late father. His instrument was an electric guitar and sang 'Set it all free' by Dave Basset. His ending solo created a tremendous applause.
The next was Sam Stevens, black raven hair, hazel eyes , seventeen years old and was playing the piano. How applause was beautiful.
The next competitor was named Kurt Nelson , he had a stage fright but felt confident that he would be one of the chosen. When the music started and he began to sing, the expression on the faces of the audience changed. He knew he'd messed up big time.
The rest were...
Sharon Kyle. Samantha James. Rachel Smith. Lyre Kennedy. They did well but not as good as the first five. A break was announced by the MC. A break for a few minutes as the judges decides the lucky winners.
Meanwhile, Olivia Bloss scanned the crowd for her parents with careful glances every where. A smile spread across her face as she spotted them, also scanning the crowd for her.
She ran to her parents pushing her way through the crowds of people both walking in and walking out.
"Mom, how did I do?" She squealed hugging her so tight that her mother got lost for breath.
"Olly you did great honey." Her mother Mrs Bloss chuckled lightly ruffling her daughters strawberry blonde hair and smiling down at her.
"You think so?" She asked again, her look was unsure as she waited for their reply again.
"Yes we do." Her father said to her with a genuine smirk. The a frown wandered on his face as he pointed to her thirteen year old brother, Chris." Although, I don't think he like it very much."
Oliver rolled her eyes letting go of her mother." He doesn't like anything I do. He's just jealous."
Frankie and Betty were also scanning the crowd for their parents faces.
Frankie's face fell when she couldn't find hers with the thought of them not actually being able to make it. Not until she received a tap in her shoulder.
A squeal escaped her when she saw both her family and Betty's.
"Mom." Frankie shrieked hugging her mother so tight that she began struggling for breath. An act that is likely performed by over enthusiastic teenagers into hip-hop." How did we do, how did we do, how did we do, how did we DO!!!"
"Frankie you did well honey." Betty's mom remarked, both of her hands clutching the mini fancy handbag that matched her outfit perfectly without question." And you too Betty, but unfortunately your Dad couldn't make it. You know how it gets at the hospital."
"Oh its cool. At least you videoed me right?" Betty said with a wave of her hand. One thing that was admirable about her, her character of taking things smoothly even if it kills her.
"Yes actually, I did." Her mom answered scrambling he purse for her phone and muttering some words.
" Hey, I have some snacks in the car if you want any." Frankie's elder sister, Gwen, offered pointing to the car.
Betty's head shot up as soon as she heard "snacks in the car". She'd been starving even before she went up on stage and was ready to gobble up anything as long as it wasn't inedible.
" Oh no thanks sis." Frankie grinned hugging her too. Her stomach jumpy enough and it would burst if she was to take in anymore food." Besides it's only a matter if time before they were to announce the lucky winners."
" Suit yourself." Betty tsked heading to the car and then yelled." I'm starving."
Erin however, was talking to his elder brother Tony, who apparently kept giving him high praise.
"That was a nice performance man, and that solo? You killed it, you were amazing." Tony remarked gesticulating, moving brown hair away form his eyes and thumping Erin on the shoulder.
"Tony's right Erin, that was absolutely amazing." A familiar voice said from behind him. He turned just to see his Mom smiling at him.
"Mom!" He exclaimed spreading his arms out wide for a hug." I thought you couldn't make it."
"Oh come on now, would I ever miss my baby's show?" His mother smiled and tapped him on the shoulder after she had pulled back from his embrace." You were glorious honey."
"I just wish dad was here." He said.
"I know baby, I know."She responded rubbing his back smoothly.
Sam Stevens, however, was a bit busy gloating to his little twin sisters on how he wooed the crowd, not only with his amazing performers; or so he says, but with also his stunning good look.
His twin sisters however were nowhere impressed.
"You know Willie and Winnie, It wasn't all easy." He said with a dreamy sigh.
" Ugh, whatever Sam. Not like we care you know." Willie said with a groan, rolling her eyes in the process.
"If you win just get the Bahamas and-" Winnie said
"Buy the list of things we asked for." Willie completed." Besides,"
" We'd have done better." Winnie said
" Period." The twins chorused.
"And besides we think that that Erin Darke did better." Willie said quirking her lips up." We lived his ending solo, now that is what we could call perfection."
" What, because he is cute and brawny and I'm not?" Sam asked, flaring.
After the break was over, people gathered once more to witness the glorious event of picking the lucky four.
And they were....
Erin Darke, 1st position
Vixens, 2nd position
Sam Stevens, 3rd position
Olivia Bloss, 4th position.
The kiss grew more passionate as he felt her warm supple body pressing against his chest. He couldn't believe how soft she was. He was gentler this time, making love to her with a slow, languorous pace, pausing now and then to check the expression on her face. Kira was. transported.
