Sophia's POV( The Calm)
I gave myself one final bloody stare before leaving the room.
As soon as I stepped out the door, the first unfortunate face I saw was that of my brother.
"Hello sis" he smiled and hugged me.
" How was your night, I came to your room earlier to call you but you were still asleep"
"You're actually lucky I didn't see you in my room, cause I've warned you several times not to come into my room" I said and tried walking away but he held me back.
"You didn't even answer my greeting sis. did I do something to offend you?" he asked.
"Tristan you didn't do anything wrong okay, I just don't like you" I replied him
I know his just putting up an act cause him mom and my dad are at home, as usual his trying to make himself look pitiful and in turn making me look bad in front of our parents.
He sighed and left. I took a deep breath and followed behind him and we both bursted out in the dinning room where mom and dad were already having breakfast.
Tristan pecked mom and dad on the cheeks before taking a seat besides mom.
"Goodmorning mom, goodmorning dad" I greeted both of them.
"Morning pretty and how was your night?" Mom asked
I know mum's just trying to be nice cause dad is around. Else, she'd have just ignored me.
"It was fine, thanks. I mumbled
"Are you set for the excursion?" Dad asked and I nodded
"Where is the location" mom asked although she doesn't care
"Manilla" I replied and tucked my hair behind my ear.
"Alright, just let me know before leaving okay?" Dad said
This is quite shocking though, this is the first time dad is actually concerned about me.
"Alright dad. Uhmmm.. I'll be on my way now dad" I said as I stood up.
"Won't you be joining us for breakfast?" Mom asked with a smile plastered on her face.
" Why pretending like you care about me?" I asked
"Don't talk to your mom that way Sophia" dad shouted at me
"She isn't and will never be my mom and dad I'll be sure to eat before leaving for the excursion" I replied
" Okay dear, have a safe trip." She said before dad could open his mouth
I just smiled at her.
How can someone be this good at pretending?
"Bye, Kim" Tristan replied and I managed to smile at him and I left.
Manilla
Celine POV( The Crazy)
I sat on my bicycle whistling as I drove along the streets, headed home.
As I rode on my new bicycle, the cold breeze blew my hair and I loved it that way.
" Hey! Get off the road ,you old man!" I yelled to a man who was standing in my way, he turned and moved away in shock.
"Who did you just call an old man?" He asked and I stucked out my tongue to him and continued riding.
Then, I saw two women who were chatting noisily on the road and I purposely rode in between them to split them up.
"Celine, what's wrong with you?" One of them asked angrily.
"You two talk too much and I don't like it" I told them and went my way.
" This girl really has no respect" I heard one of the passerby say
"Do you have some for sale?" I asked and drove past her.
I continued whistling till I got home, I parked my beautiful bicycle by the door side.
I opened the door into the sitting room and burnt smell welcomed me immediately.
And just then I remembered that the rice was on fire . I took to my heels and ran to the kitchen immediately, turning off the gas.
Good heavens, why did it have to burn? Couldn't it have waited a little longer for me to get home?
What do I do now?
Just then, the door opened in the sitting room and I knew dad was back. I'm finally dead.
"Celine!" He called and I ran to him.
" Dad!"I called and embraced him, he was a little surprised.
" You probably did something wrong right? Tell me what it is and I won't scold you" dad replied
"I went out to get something and before I returned home the food had already burnt to ashes" I said while giving him the puppy face
"Why would you leave the food on the fire in the first place?" Dad asked
" I didn't know it was going to burn dad. I had an agreement with the rice that it would wait for me to get back" I said
" You are one silly kid. By the way, we need to talk." he told me and I rolled my eyes
I already have a hit on what his about to say.
Why haven't you been going to school for some days now?" He asked
" I told you already dad, I've been waking up these days with serious headaches" I replied
" Really? you've been having headaches for five days now and when I offer to get you drugs you refuse. Young lady you had better start telling me the truth"
"Fine dad, I was suspended" I pouted my lips and he scoffed.
" Are you serious right now? Its been barely 2 weeks you got suspended for slapping your teacher and here you are with yet again another suspension. What did you do this time" he snapped.
" It wasn't my fault dad. I was on my own when the principal daughter decided to look for my trouble so I beat her up"
" What!! You beat up the principal daughter?"
" Yes father, she was staring rudely at me. Just because her dad owns the school she feels she can misbehave. I needed to put some senses into her thick head" I defended
" Celine, how many times will I warn you to stop fighting? How long have you been suspended?"
" It'll be over by Monday" I replied with a wink.
"Okay. Mrs Theresa told me you stole her biscuits"
" That's a lie dad, I didn't steal it. I only took it without telling her" I replied and bit my nails.
" I seee. Well, Alex mom also told me you had a fight with her daughter. What exactly is wrong with you Celine?"
" Actually dad I didn't her, If I did she would be in the hospital. I only beat her up" I told him and he scoffed.
" Celine how many times will I tell you this. You're a girl and you shouldn't be fighting with people. If you continue this way, you'd only chase away your future husband's"
"And whoever said I needed a man dad when I have you. They can all go to hell,I dont care"
He stared at me as we both smiled.
" By the way dad I'm really hungry" I said while giving him the baby face.
" Alright , take this bag to the room while I quickly make us something to eat"
" Make it tasty" I told him as I carried the bag he came back with to the kitchen.
My dad and I .. we're not that rich but we're happy. Atleast we manage to eat three square meals a day.
He loves me and I also love him so so much. Our small little house doesn't matter to us as long as we are always together.
I got into my room and my eyes beam at the sight on the table.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh...
I rushed to it immediately, picking up the picture.
Thank goodness dad hadn't entered my room to see it.
I stared at it before I put it away.
It was an old picture I had found in dad's old belongings. He looked young and handsome then and he was sitting beside a young beautiful lady and guess what? They were with two identical babies.
Yes.
I have tried asking dad about the picture but he'd only get angry and tell me not to ever ask him about the lady. So since then I kept the picture to myself and never questioned him again.
But I sometimes wonder who the woman and the babies are and why do they have such effect on dad whenever I bring up the question?
I don't know why but I have a cranky feeling about it. Could dad be hiding something from me?
I sighed and then put the picture away before leaving the room. I decided to help dad out in the kitchen even though I don't know how to cook.
I joined dad in the kitchen and then I remembered I had forgotten to wash the dirty pots but thankfully dad had already washed the pots.
" Dad I'll be back shortly, let me get us some chicken to eat with the food" I said while scratching my ear
" I know you are trying to avoid my scolding but go ahead, you'd still come back and meet me here"
" But it's not that bad dad, you could actually give it to those street begers, I'm sure they'll be really happy" I replied as I got outside and rode off with my bicycle.

"Let's get married," Mia declares, her voice trembling despite her defiant gaze into Stefan's guarded brown eyes. She needs this, even if he seems untouchable. Stefan raises a skeptical brow. "And why would I do that?" His voice was low, like a warning, and it made her shiver even though she tried not to show it. "We both have one thing in common," Mia continues, her gaze unwavering. "Shitty fathers. They want to take what's ours and give it to who they think deserves it." A pointed pause hangs in the air. "The only difference between us is that you're an illegitimate child, and I'm not." Stefan studies her, the heiress in her designer armor, the fire in her eyes that matches the burn of his own rage. "That's your solution? A wedding band as a weapon?" He said ignoring the part where she just referred to him as an illegitimate child. "The only weapon they won't see coming." She steps closer, close enough for him to catch the scent of her perfume, gunpowder and jasmine. "Our fathers stole our birthrights. The sole reason they betrayed us. We join forces, create our own empire that'll bring down theirs." A beat of silence. Then, Stefan's mouth curves into something sharp. "One condition," he murmurs, closing the distance. "No divorces. No surrenders. If we're doing this, it's for life" "Deal" Mia said without missing a beat. Her father wants to destroy her life. She wouldn't give him the pleasure, she would destroy her life as she seems fit. ................ Two shattered heirs. One deadly vow. A marriage built on revenge. Mia Meyers was born to rule her father's empire (so she thought), until he named his bastard son heir instead. Stefan Sterling knows the sting of betrayal too. His father discarded him like trash. Now the rivals' disgraced children have a poisonous proposal: Marry for vengeance. Crush their fathers' legacies. Never speak of divorce. Whoever cracks first loses everything. Can these two rivals, united by their vengeful hearts, pull off a marriage of convenience to reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs? Or will their fathers' animosity, and their own complicated pasts tear their fragile alliance apart?
