"I'll see you in the next life, mother," the young boy said, his eyes swollen from crying for several days. ---- Exiled from Udrad after the public stoning of his parents, Alanor Wynter swore on his parents' graves, to bring the lycan kingdom to his knees. So he became the rogue they despised and the devil they all feared. He was a monster, but they had created him, and he was really bad. Alanor was the kind of evil that no dictionary even had a description for yet. He had vowed to never have peace until he got his revenge, and no one would stop him, not even the mate the fates had forced on him. After all, he didn't believe in the fated mates. Alanor believed in REVENGE.
"Alanor, run, my child, run! Get out of here, don't watch this, my love. Go on now!"
That was the voice of a helpless Lycan woman hooked up the wooden bars, and ready to be judged for sins that she may or may not have committed. She looked tired, and the sweat running down her face, didn't make it any easier on her.
However, she had only one goal in mind; to get her ten-year-old son away wherever they were. It wasn't hard to guess what had happened or what was happening to her. She was about to be judged.
Her clothes were torn from the possible fight she had put up when they were trying to force her on the crossed woods. However, they hadn't left her unclothed, as that would be a sin in her community and the perpetrators would be fed to the dogs.
Respect and love were twisted things in this kingdom, the home of the Lycans. The heaven they had all invested everything in. Their home was one of a kind and it wasn't hard to know why the outsiders wanted to be part of it. However the questions was, would they really love this home?
But then again, home was home.
Udrad.
Funny how they considered women to be angels and lovely beings when they were already hurting this one. maybe they had their reasons, but putting her in this state? There was no reason that would ever justify this.
It was cruel.
It was inhumane.
And it was disgusting.
The woman's hair had been cut indecently because she had been giving her captors a hard time. That was their way of teaching the rebellious woman a lesson, in the hope that they would silence her.
But how would anyone silence a tiger that already knew what was coming next?
She looked like she had put up a huge fight to defend herself, but she had unfortunately lost, and judging by the ugly mark on the left side of her face, she had been knocked unconscious.
However, she didn't look horrified by her new reality. If anything, she was only worried for her son, her young Alanor. Her arms were spread on the bars, the blood having clotted and the nails covered in red.
Her feet were pinned apart on the X-bars, each leg on either side of the bar. Her hands were also in the same position. It looked uncomfortable, but then that is what she had to go by. Being spread apart like that, hurt so bad.
The red drips from her whole body did prove how much beating she had gotten.
This woman was a fighter. she clearly had refused to go down, and they had tried everything possible on her.
"Go, son! Run form here," the woman shouted again in the mind link she shared with her child. That was her only way of communicating with him. She knew he had questions, but then right now, all she wanted was to see her son safe.
She would hold on for him, and as long as he was there in the crowd, watching as they did the unthinkable to her, the woman still hoped that he would leave. He was just a child and didn't deserve to live with any of these.
The woman was breaking apart and trying to keep it together. She needed to and was desperate for a way to make her son see that it was okay. She wanted to cry out and plead with them. She wanted to remind them that she was not guilty, but she knew they wouldn't listen to her.
She wanted to tell them to spare her son the pain, but that was a long shot. Way too long and there wouldn't be a target today.
However, even with all the pain she had endured and was still enduring, she hadn't shed a tear. But seeing her young son here, that broke her heart. She wished there was something she could do to make him go away.
Something that could convince the child that this wasn't the right place for him to be. She wished she could talk to him and give him a place to hide, but she knew she couldn't. They were all watching her.
They were studying her carefully, analyzing every movement she made, as if she was going to magically unbind herself from the nails and the cruelty she was experiencing. they were right to be skeptical of her because if she got out of this hold they had on her, she would rain hell on them.
The many eyes on her as also one of the reasons why she was communicating with her son, using their mind link. She knew she couldn't say a word, thanks to them ripping off her tongue and her mouth getting filled with grey powder.
The woman angry, and her eyes tore through the souls of the soldiers that were watching her. She looked like she was daring them to free her, just so they would know what it mean to mess with a woman like her.
If they wanted a fight, then she would give it to them, easy.
"Oh, Alanor. Don't watch us son," The man on the woman's side said to Alanor. He was also using the mind link to talk to them. It wasn't hard to know that they were a family, one that was about to be ripped apart.
A family that didn't have a future and also one that the society was already fighting against. Looking at them, it seemed as if the two people up there had committed crimes against humanity but had they?
Just like his wife, he was bound in the same manner, only that his wounds were a tad bit severe. He was hurt and had broken bones, but even then, he was still high up, bound for sins they suspected them of.
The two parents weren't sure their son could hear them, especially with how frozen he was. He was blankly staring at them, watching as if this was something he could have controlled. The crowd he was caught up in was cruel, everyone was voting for their ending, for a child to be orphaned. It was sick.
The young boy wanted to ask about so many things, but he knew that this was one of the worst days for him to have any questions.
He wished they could talk, maybe his parents would help him understand why all of this was happening and to their family. However, he didn't want to spend the last few minutes with his parents, talking about things that couldn't help him.
Their captors had already made their decision, and one thing was certain.
This would be the last time Alanor saw his parents.
He knew it, and they knew it too. After all, today wasn't just any day. today was one of the worst days of the week. the days when Justice would be sought. The days when everyone who was put up the stupid X-bars, never made it back home.
Today, was Saturday.
And Saturdays in Udrad were the worst days anyone would ever be looking forward to.
Nobody in Udrad loved Saturdays, but no one had the guts to even say it out loud. After all they didn't want to risk their lives.
[WARNING: MATURE CONTENT] "Forgive me, my soul," he said, knowing it was probably the last time he would see the love of his life. *** Simply put, King Agust was the devil in plain clothes. A raging lycan with an unwavering desire to wipe out werewolves, he was the ultimate danger to a race whose only mistake, was bearing the same blood as that of his father. Broken and damaged by his father, a werewolf alpha, Agust hated wolves with all he had and didn't have. To him, they were pathetic beings that needed to be snuffed out, and like a mad king, he made their lives so difficult the only option the wolves had left, was to hide. So when he met Park, one of the strongest werewolf alphas, who didn't take shit from no one, hated him, and who was determined to protect the werewolf race, Agust knew he found his match. What he didn't expect, was for the alpha who hated him so much, to be his mate, and reject him on the same day they met. As if that wasn't bad enough, when his lycans attacked Park's pack, Agust sentenced them to mass murder, an action that triggered a revolution. But strangely, the only thing Agust cared for, was the one man who made him weak in the knees. Alpha Park. Would Agust win both wars?

She chooses the first option. Everything goes so well until she runs into her nemesis, Park Jihoon, of the Calindra pack, the man she hates more than she hates her suitors. Rania has had her wolf for seven years and has never gotten a mate who wants her. Everyone she is mated to, rejects her at first sight, without even trying to know her. Some even tell her that she's a weapon for the packs, and not a person to be loved. Just like Rania, Jihoon is mateless. However, his state, is because Rania had murdered his mate, Yanna, in cold blood, but Rania had her reasons, which, to this day, she refuses to tell anyone. Of course, Jihoon had 'considered' it an accident and the packs resolved to be at peace. However, Jihoon had sworn to push Rania to the edge of the cliff. He would make her pay for murdering his mate. If meeting at the alpha camp wasn't a terrible situation, everything gets worse when the werewolf king recognizes Rania and Jihoon as the top alphas in the kingdom, and sends them on a mission, to make peace with the vampires and bring the captured werewolf prince back home.
