"I want you." He told me. "I don't want nobody to have you." "But my father... He would do everything he can to stop this. Interspecies is something he forbids." "Fuck him." Shadow's eyes glowed a burning red color. "If he steps in to break you and me up again, then he's going to have to deal with me... Personally. Wolf and rabbits. Common enemies, right? What if a school was brought together to bring the prey and predator close. What if being that close to your biggest predator was the reason a romantic relationship was created? Shadow and Oriana's story is just the beginning and the start of bringing interspecies relationships to life. And of course, there are enemies who would do anything to see the couple perish before their very own eyes. Including family members...
Shadow:
"Hey, Shadow.." Torak called to me. "Are we going out?"
It was the end of the class and I didn't even notice. I was so deep in thought that I missed the school bell that told us that class was done.
"Oh shit." I sighed. "Where were we going again?"
"Did you sleep on our conversation?" Torak laughed.
I stretched before I turned my attention to the window. It was getting a little dark.
"What time is it?" I asked.
A knock came on the door to the classroom and I turned my head to it.
"Daydreaming again?" Raven asked, smiling from ear to ear.
She pushed her silky black hair to the back, staring at me. I smiled, getting up from the desk and walking over to the door. Raven stared up at me with glistening eyes.
"You ready?" She asked me. "We're going to the bonfire. All the shifters would be there."
"Yeah." I told her.
I put my arm around her and we walked out of the class. My pack was small as fuck, but we were powerful for an Alpha pack. There was the pack for the men and the pack for the women only. Raven was the leader and of course, she wanted to be my Luna bad. However, I never looked at her like that. Yeah, we shared a kiss, but it didn't make me feel any different. She was cool as a friend, though and a amazing female Alpha for the female pack we had at the school.
"Can I spend time with you?" Raven asked me in a whisper.
"Um, we'll see." I told her.
Raven sighed.
"When?"
She lifted her head up to me.
"What?"
"When will you accept me?"
"Not right now."
She just looked at me. My eyes shifted down to hers and she just rolled them before turning her attention to the front.
"Where are the others?" I asked Torak.
"Already out front." Torak told me.
As soon as we got out the building, Gonzalo, Trey, Stormie and Remus was there, waiting for us. Trey was the first to turn around and release a chuckle as soon as he saw me.
"Finally, you came."He told. "I thought we lost you."
"Sorry." I told him, releasing my arm from around Raven.
"You guys ready?" Gonzalo asked.
"Like you were?" Stormie asked. "You were almost as late as our leader."
"Hush, girl." I chuckled. "I wasn't that much late."
Stormie nudged me, then she turned to Raven.
"The others will meet us." Remus told us.
"Okay." I told him. "We'll take separate cars."
"Alright."
As we walked towards the parking lot, a sudden group appeared. It was mostly women and their scent was as pure as a field of dandelions and sunflowers combined. When the soft cool breeze blew, their scent brushed past everybody's nose. Including mines. At first, I wouldn't have stopped to even bother. That was until someone slammed into me, dropping onto the ground and her papers flying everywhere. Her scent.... One sniff from me and a hint of blood reached me. It was sweet, a very rich smell that caused my wolf to awaken within me.
My god... She smells.. Divine....
"Shadow?" Raven called me. "Let's go!"
"Meet you at the car." I told everybody.
Without a word, everybody left, except for Raven. She just stared at me.
"Shadow?" She called me.
I lifted my eyes to her and once she saw them, she shook her head and walked off. The girl on the ground, held her hand to her nose and I kneeled down in front of her.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
The girl wiped her nose with the back of her hand before she lifted up and looked at me.
"You're..." She stopped before she dropped her head and began grabbing her stuff.
I kneeled down, beside her and began grabbing her papers and belongings off the ground.
"I'm sorry." I told her. "I didn't see you."
She didn't say anything. Sighing, I placed my finger under her chin and raised her head. I could hear her heart pounding in her chest. Her round, amber colored eyes stared into mine for a little bit. Just her staring at me made me feel some kind of way. I couldn't hear anything around me except for the tree leaves shaking on the branches and her heart. Hell, it got to the point that I didn't hear the car horn or my pack trying to get my attention. The only thing that did break the connection between her and I was when my hand was smacked away from her face.
"Don't touch her!" Someone shouted at me before they helped her up. "What are you planning to do?! Kill her, too?!"
I got up and stared at the woman before me.
"You need to watch your tongue, Rabbit." I told her, calmly.
"Stay away from us! I'll report you if you come near her again."
The two of them walked away, but the stood where I was.
"Yo, Shadow!" Torak shouted my name. "Let's go!"
I wanted her to turn around and look back. When she did and those beautiful amber eyes of hers stayed on mine for a minute, I knew what I felt was real. My wolf felt the same way.
I want her...Oh my fucking God, I need her....
"Yeah..." I told my inner wolf. "I want her, too."
The car honked behind me and I turned around, getting in the car with Torak. He drove off and I leaned back in the seat, breathing hard.
"Dude, who are they?" I asked Torak.
"Who?" He asked as he followed the others. "The girls?"
"Yeah."
"Dude, they're rabbits. You didn't sense that?"
I raised my eyebrow at him and he laughed.
"That's Tiana and the dwarf bunnies. Tiana is very fiesty once it comes to those girls. So, there's no point of trying to eat one."
"And that girl?"
Torak looked at me for a second, then shook his head.
"Why?" He asked me.
"Dude, when we collided, I... I got a scent of her blood."
"Her blood? What are you talking about?"
I squinted my eyes at him, but came to realize something. When I looked at her face, there was no scratch or cut on her. Blood never spilled from here, either. So, why was I smelling blood? Her blood?
"Dude, there was no blood coming from her." Torak confirmed.
I shook my head and turned towards the window. I knew what I smelled an my wolf did as well. We both smelled the same thing. That thick, rich liquid. Fuck, she had my mouth watering, but not in a hungry way. Not in a way a predator looked at their meal. It was more something else. Something I couldn't put my mind to it. However, if I saw her again or got close to her again, she was going to drive me fucking crazy. I covered my face with both my hands as I continued thinking about the dwarf bunny I just ran into.
"Fuck!" I shouted to myself.
The car came to an abrupt stop and I lifted my head up. The other cars were going ahead and I turned to Torak. His eyes widened as if he read my mind.
"Dude, you didn't?" He asked me.
"What?" I asked him.
"No fucking way! That can't happen! I mean, can it?"
"Torak, what?"
Torak shook his head.
"Dude, I had to think about it more. Raven is going to be pissed if she finds out you imprinted on someone else and not her."
"I didn't imprint."
"You did."
"Torak! I said I didn't!"
"We'll see."
Torak continued driving, chuckling.
"If it is true what I'm telling you, you need to try to keep that to yourself." He told me.
"But, it's not. So drop it, okay?"
Torak stopped talking as he continued towards our destination. That's not what it was. Was it?

"You're mine, little puppy," Kylan growled against my neck. A soft gasp escaped my lips as his lips brushed my skin. My mind screamed at me to push him away-the Lycan Prince who had humiliated me again and again, but my body betrayed me, leaning into him before I could stop myself. He pressed his lips against mine, and his kiss grew more aggressive, more possessive as I felt my legs weaken. What was I doing? In a split-second, I pulled away and slapped him hard across the face. Kylan's eyes darkened, but the smirk on his lips exposed his amusement. "You and I both know we can't fight this, Violet," he said, gripping my wrist. "You're my mate." "And yet you don't want me," I replied. "You told me you were ashamed of me, that l'd never be your queen, that you'd never love me. So please, accept my rejection and let me go." "Never," he whispered, his grip tightening as he pulled me closer. "Soon enough, you'll be begging for me. and when you do-I'll use you as I see fit and then I'll reject you."
