Prologue: His P.O.V
"Mom, I'm already here!" I said when I entered our small house.
I went to mom in the kitchen because I knew she was there, she was always there. After all, my mom makes snacks that she sells everywhere every afternoon.
"Oh!" She smiled at me. "There's a dish on the table, eat it and after, help me here."
I also smiled at my mom. "All right, I'll get dressed first."
I went straight to my mom's little room and quickly put on simple shorts and a white T-shirt. I came from school because I took care of my education, we just moved out last week and I need to transfer to another school again, fortunately, I brought all the requirements they needed. Before, I thought to just transfer right away without thinking what should I do but it makes me having a hard time so I just prepared my requirements first before came into school.
I went out and started eating. I took a deep breath when I saw that our dish is just simple. It was sardines again. I'm not complaining, It just makes me sad for dome reason. When I finished, I went to my mom in the kitchen and helped with what she was doing.
"How's your walk?" My mother suddenly asked so I looked at her.
I smiled. "It's fine. You don't have to worry, mom." I'm back to what I was doing.
But I also stopped what I was doing when I felt her sharp gaze over me. "I already told you, didn't I? Don't be like yourself. I mean, we need to keep our identity, son."
I took a deep breath then nodded at her. "I know, mom. I just can't help it, you know me."
She took my two hands and hugged me tightly. "I'm sorry, son. I'm sorry for putting you in this situation."
I hugged her back and smiled. "You don't have to say sorry, mom. I told you, I'll be with you wherever you go. I won't leave you, mom."
She gave me a hug and then she smiled at me so sweetly, I will never leave my mom no matter what happens.
"In that case, I'll give it to you." I frowned because of what she said. "I'll let you do whatever you want, when you're here at home and we're just the two of us, you should try to train yourself. I don't want you to be in danger that's why we keep moving everytime he founds out where we are."
"Are you sure, mom?"
She nodded. "Yes. Are you okay with that, son?"
I nodded several times while smiling. "Of course, mom!" I answered.
I sighed. "Mom, whether he find us again or not, I can protect you from him. I won't let him touch you, I won't let him take advantage of us. I promise."
"Thank you, son. But I should the one who will do that because I'm your mom."
"And I'm your son. You protected me before so I should protect you this time."
She chuckled. "Okay, okay! Whatever, you keep insisting that."
I hugged her and kissed her on the forehead as she smiled. We continued what we were doing because mom's sales time was near and my work time was near. We need to do this quickly... for now.
When that time came, I took a quick shower and told my mom that I was going to work. I am a delivery boy at a coffee shop every 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
I just told my boss that I would enroll first and return to work immediately. I don't know if being a transfer is big deal in that school. I mean, I heard that there's a lot of mean girls, group of the bully, and so on.
"Deliver it to the address written there. Hurry up!" My boss said.
I nodded. "Yes, sir!"
I quickly delivered the coffees to a condo unit that had a party. And to my surprise I was disgraced while back at the coffee shop.
"Shit! It hurts," I murmuring. I don't have any wounds, my elbow is just hurt. I removed my helmet but my mask did not.
I almost ran into a car that suddenly made a U-turn, but I stopped immediately so I fell off the motor. The driver got off and helped me get up.
"I'm sorry, sir! I didn't mean to!" Said the driver.
I nodded and smiled at him "It's okay. My arm only hurts."
"Do you want us to take you to the hospital?"
I immediately shook my head. "No. No need for that. I don't have any wounds so it's fi-" I stopped and stare at the girl who just got out from the car.
I suddenly stopped when a girl came out of the car, and I think she's just awake from a deep sleep. She's beautiful. She has long hair and it's natural brown. I know if the hair is natural or colored, anyway. She has brown eyes. Her eyelashes are a bit long. Her lips are naturally reddish. Her skin was as white as if she had been conceived in a turnip and had a piercing nose. Her body is also well-shaped as if she is exercising every day.
"Sir!"
I was shocked by the strength of this driver's voice. I looked at him. "Ah! What's that again?"
"I've been calling you for a while. Ma'am said, do you want us to take you to the hospital?"
I looked at the woman looking at me, who was the boss of this driver. I shook my head. "Not anymore! I'm fine, it's far from the intestines!" I laughed a little.
"Are you sure? We can take you to the hospital, it looks like your arm hurts, you might be crippled," The girl said.
"Ah! Not really, ma'am! I'm really fine." I insisted.
The girl took a deep breath. "If that's the case, I won't force you anymore." She took something from her wallet. "Just take this."
He put the... money in my hand? She gave me five thousands. I was about to return it when she shook her head.
"Just take it, please. I'll help you too, maybe there's something wrong with your motor, and maybe you're still in pain," She said.
I slowly nodded and smiled. "All right, ma'am. Thank you very much."
She smiled at me sweetly. "If you're okay, we'll go first. Besides, we are blocking the road. I'm sorry again. Be careful next time!"
She last said before they left. Aish! My arm is really sore and my delivery motor is not damaged in any way. Thanks god, I'm safe. But on the other hand, it feels good. I met someone with a cute face and pretty voice.
As I waited, the day of the entrance arrived. I am complete. I already have the things I need and a uniform as well. I approached my mother and kissed her on her cheeks.
"Mom, I'll get going now. I don't want to be late on my first day of school," I said.
She nodded. "All right! Take care and study well, son."
I nodded. "Remember also what I told you. Be careful of the people around you, don't trust anyone. Understood?"
I nodded and smiled at her. "Yes, mom. I got it. I understand. I'll take care of it, this is just me, mom." I winked at her.
"You really are! You're pure nonsense. Go away, you might be late!"
I just nodded before leaving the house. I only commuted because I didn't have any vehicle to speed up my way to school. I smiled when I remembered how my mom so strict on me. I understand her though. She was deceived by someone before.
When I got to school, I rolled my eyes around me while standing in front of the opened gate. I looked up and read the words written above the gate.
"High School Villareal," I murmured.
This is my first day and I should take care of myself. I wouldn't let everyone know about me. Well, there's nothing special or interesting about me, It just makes me uncomfortable now when I have friends in this school. Maybe, I'll make myself an... outcast.
From now on, I'm just an outcast inside of this school, and outside either.
"Outcast... How that word makes me smile? It's rare," I whispered in myself while students are looking at me.
