Daniellah's baby sister Demi got missing and by trying to rescue her, Daniellah got caught in a bunch of secrets that needs to be unveiled in order to bring her sister home alive.
Daniellah's POV
Demi Krasposy fled from her sister's eighteenth birthday party as reported by the media. This was supposed to be the sweet eighteenth birthday party of a century. However now it might just become a joke!
"Daniellah, will you stop putting more make up?I look good without it anyway",this was how Daniellah's quarrel with Demi always starts every early morning. "Daniellah hurry up or else you're gonna be late",Chally Edwards who happened to be Daniellah's stepmother interrupted them in the middle of a brewing havoc.
Chally made a fake grin and quickly told her daughter to stand up from the dressing table to start packing. She twisted her braids as she walked towards Demi who immediately started packing.
"l guess you bought every makeup accessory that was on sale at the Bling Shop to apply just for a day", Demi said while running a wet towel on her face trying to reduce the makeup that Daniellah had plastered on her face.
"Don't try to make my products cheap Demi, can't you sea the Fanty labels there?", Daniellah questioned her while finishing up,stood up and picked her drop bag then walked to the mirror where she took a quick look at herself then smiled. "Happy birthday Daniellah ",she said to her self mimicking her mother's voice while smiling brightly. She tried many smiles but still wasn't satisfied. This was her first birthday celebration ever since her mum left her.
Thinking of her mother's sudden death, her eyes started reddening.
"I don't even remember the last time l celebrated my birthday",she said to Demi however she seemed like she was talking to herself.
"Let's go Demi",Daniellah said to her sister while marching out of the room. She was trying very hard not to let her tears drop, her mother's death was a thorn that was constantly poking her heart and she had been trying very hard not to make it visible to people around her.
She hated it very much when people comforted her and tell her to forget and move on.
"Do you think we'll make it on time?",Demi asked while trotting behind her sister.
"Yep",Daniellah said while wiping her tears then she threw her bag at the back seat, went to the driver's seat and started reversing.
"Hop in, l will drop you first cause today lam not going to pick up Shawn ",she said before her sister could even put on her seat belt.
"Yey! thank God,gosh l don't like your friends anyway. Do you know how suffocating the car will be with Shawn here?",Demi made a face while saying that then she started laughing non stop.
"Shut the fuck up!",Daniellah demanded while making gesture of zipping her mouth with her left hand while the other was holding the steering wheel.
"lam just saying geeze, but honestly l can't believe you are still crushing on that guy",Demi said with a mocking face which was noticed by Daniellah with the corner of her eye.
"If you don't say anything you won't die you know, and matter of fact he is now my boyfriend and he is taking me out for a lunch date",Daniellah said while sticking out her tongue which earned her rolled eyes from Demi.
After a moment Demi asked why she wasn't part of the lunch date in which Daniellah told her she couldn't come along since it was a couple's thing.
'"Bye Boo", Daniellah said to her sister while blowing a kiss in the air which Demi received and crushed with with her foot.
Daniellah laughed it out and started driving to her school while playing her now favourite song Ghosted by Justin Bieber.
From the moment she arrived at school everyone had been wishing her a happy birthday but Daniellah was eager to find Shawn. She had been looking for him from the moment she arrived but it seemed like he was playing hide and seek with her.
After a moment she rushed to where the Cheerleaders were practising to look for her friend Catherine.
"Cathy have you seen Shawn today?",she asked her the moment she spotted her.
"Good morning Danny",Cathy said instead. Daniellah sticked her tongue out sheepishly, "Sorry pumpkin l was in a hurry and forgot to greet you ",she replied her while hugging her.
Cathy laughed at her best-friend's fake apology then asked her best-friend if she had missed Shawn that much to the point of forgetting their custom greeting.
"I miss him already okay",Daniellah replied shyly.
"Geeze stop giving me goosebumps, oooh l almost forgot Happy birthday sweet munchkin ",Cathy said to her reaching her pocket to get a necklace which she ought to give her as a present.
Gabriellah interrupted the process by saying that she had a strange feeling that Shawn had been avoiding her intentionally. "Don't rush it babes maybe he is planning something big since it's your day you know ",Cathy assured her friend awkwardly.
"I know it's just.......hummmpff, okay l don't know ",she sighed.
"A date?",Cathy asked while putting a necklace on Daniellah's neck which earned her a surprised scream.
"oooooooouch!,you managed to buy me this customised necklace, please don't make me fall for you lam straight you know ",Daniellah said half jokingly while stroking the necklace.
"Eeew please don't fall for me l have someone l like ",Cathy replied while faking to be scared and they both laughed. "Thank you Cathy, this is the first time lam receiving a gift from someone after......anyway thanks",Daniellah said seriously with reddening eyes while hugging her friend.
"No biggie, hey stop crying people will think l bullied you ",Cathy said to her to lighten her mood which helped because they started laughing together with other Cheerleaders that had witnessed the scene.
The girls made their way out of the room to talk outside as they didn't want to further destruct everyone. Obviously today's practice for Cathy was over.
