Pearla Wilton, a middle class tech-lady at the Montero Entertainment Industry is good at re-pairing anything that uses cables and touch screen; gadgets, devices et.c. The only thing her screws and screwdrivers can't fix is her drug addict and alcoholic father, who is hell bent on emptying her pocket dry. He never misses an opportunity to bill his daughter, to the extent of faking cancer. ••••• Simon Montero, on the other hand, is the only son and CEO of the company. His alluring charisma is good for business but his anger wasn't. He can be described as the complete definition of 'messed up'. The best in dis-pairing just like how Pearla re-pairs. ••••• Pearla wasn't sure why Simon, suddenly picks a nerd like her to be his Assistant, or did he think she can re-pair him too? Not to mention doubling her salary if she agrees. ••••• Simon and Pearla are two different personalities with different perspective of life, but they just happen to click, like magnets. A love story is never a joyful rollercoaster, it comes with family drama and secrets to stand on the rail. Tears and heartbreaks are inevitable. ••••• It turns out two parallel lines actually meets at the far end beyond the human eyes, it can only be felt. How did a nerd like her becomes the CEO's favorite person to love, despite his anger and the urge to mess things up? Watch out as Pearla ends up fixing her boss, at the same time falling in love.
Condom.
"This is the second time today, just place an order for a new one already"
Isaac turned his chair to look at Pearla.
"Are you complaining now?"
Pearla shot a friendly glare at Isaac, her eyes staring menacingly into his eyes as he cowed behind.
"This is the second time you're ringing my phone for a repair in the last 30 minutes, and it's always your WiFi connectio. So, yes! I'm complaining. There is what we call evolution Isaac, no one uses this kind of Wifi router anymore" Pearla complained.
"If I may speak now-" he cleared his throat, to debate. Raising his hands in the air like someone who is getting ready to fight Kung Fu.
"I bought that Wifi router from my first salary and my father also blessed it before I began to use it. I don't see why fixing it up should be a problem, isn't that your job here in this company?" Isaac grined, proud of himself as he spoke.
"You don't listen!
The network of this latest one's are faster, how can you even compare 2G network to 4G? When 5G is already on it's way coming" Pearla spat out aggressively,
"You can buy another one and take it to your father to bless it for you" she raised a brow, hoping he would listen to her.
"My old man is six feet in the ground, Pearla", Isaac frowned, pretending to be hurt as Pearla brought up the issue of his father. Pearla took a pause from what she was clicking on his computer.
"Enough with that sob story, you always find a way to make everyone pity you. So pathetic!" She cursed, her face still staring at the computer screen with her Harry Potter type of glasses, radiating blue lights.
"Your eyes looks more beautiful when you curse, Pearla" Isaac complimented, to which she quickly turned around to pinch his nose. He only groaned in pain, as he massaged his nose lightly.
"Is he flirting with you again?" Janet who just walked in spoke, taking a sit behind Isaac.
"You know Pearla- -" she continued, taking over the conversation.
"Isaac here dropped a used condom from his pocket yesterday while he was leaving the office. It was so embarrassing!" Janet spoke out loud, drawing everyone's attention towards them.
"You didn't have to say that out loud, Jane" Pearla turned to looked at Isaac with disgust, cautioning her best friend who was also the front desk receptionist on their floor.
Isaac in his defense said "It wasn't even mine, I mistakenly stepped on it. I swear it Pearl".
"Jesus H. Christ!"
"Do you always have to ruin my life for me, just keep to yourself." Isaac whispered as he noticed the number of eyes that looked his way, he facepalmed from the embarrassment Janet caused him.
"Sex talks can wait till we leave office right? You both are so naughty" Pearla spoke, ashamed of how free this two were.
Janet suddenly starts laughing, her body wheezing violently in her chair, drawing everyone's attention once again.
She was one hell of a lousy receptionist, her finger kept pointing to Isaac who had no idea why she was laughing.
Pearla herself was trying to figure it out.
Isaac, already aware of what fell out of his pocket again, tried to use his leg to kick the sticky rubber under his desk.
"You're shameless, Isaac" Pearla spoke out abruptly, as he saw what Isaac was trying to hide.
"It's not even mine, she put it there, I swear" he said defensively, even when he already knew the cat was already out of the bag, no...
Let's rephrase that "even though he knew his condom was already out of his pocket". He tried to deny it.
Condoms are usually used and disposed, but why does Isaac always takes it with him?
"Okay, here it's done" Pearla stamped her hand on the table as he drew back Isaac's attention back to his computer. His Wi-fi was already fixed, she just restored his connection to default.
Pearla moved away from Isaac to greet Janet properly, as she had not seen much of her the day before, and today.
"Did you hear about the commotion in the Chief's office yesterday?" Janet drew out a chair for Pearla to sit, trying to feed her the gist of the day.
"Commotion? I didn't hear anything" Pearla raised her brow in question, sitting down on the chair Janet had provided her.
"You nerd! - thank God you have me to give you all the gists you've missed." Janet grinned sheepishly.
"Spit it out already, I had something doing before I came here" Pearla spoke dismissively, as she wasn't really a fan of gossips.
"The slot for Chief's Assistant is free again" Janet whispered, her eyes darting around to make sure no one heard her say it, except for Pearla's ears.
"Why? - Did the Chief's Assistant fall sick?" she asked innocently.
"You're so slow Pearl" she complained.
"She was fired, as always." Janet slapped her lap as she said, to which Pearla's eyes saddened.
"That's so sad, I wonder the kind of person the CEO wants to fill in that position" she sympathized.
"Is that what you're worried about?" Janet scoffed.
"What elses should I be worried about?" her puzzled eyes staring back at her.
"It's vacant!" she exclaimed, with a frustrated sigh.
"You want me to apply for that position?" Pearla's brow raised to get her point.
"Of course! - you've had a crush on him for like two years it is? Someone else is going to go after him if you don't, girl" Janet whined, her pleading eyes on Pearla.
"But I love the technical works I'm doing here. I mean, who is going to fix Isaac's wi-fi router if I leave you all behind. And besides, my qualifications are different from what he might be expecting. What if I get fired immediately?" Pearla said with a smile plastered on her face, as if satisfied with her position of a technician.
"You're so full of 'what if's'. So you prefer to suffer with your poor heart in silence?" Janet pressured her again.
"If that's how I'm going to be making money for myself, Yes." She deadpanned.
"That's my girl, I'm all available if you ever need someone to love" Isaac chimed in, to recieve a deadly glare by Janet.
He quickly turned his face to his computer to type gibberish on his keyboard.
"I know one day in one of the many few that's coming, Simon Montero will ask you out" Janet concluded with an eye roll as if she had already seen the future.
"He probably doesn't like my type of person Janet. Some people are only destined to love from afar" Pearla's dreamy eyes now staring at Janet's desktop as if Simon's picture was on it.
"You will be rich, think about tha-t-"
"That's enough for today Janet. I have lots of work to do" Pearla stood up from the chair. Janet's shoulder fell with a shrug.
"Later, babes" she gave a wink.
"Before I forget, there's this ladies night out later at 8pm. I want you to come" Janet called out as Pearla headed to leave.
"I'm sorry, I can't. I have to work late tonight. Maybe some other time."
"I will ask my friend to cover up for you, only if I'm coming" Isaac who apparently was a fan of eavesdropping chimed in again.
"Ok fine. Ladies night with Isaac." Pearla gave a reassuring smile to Janet.
"Should I come pick you up or ...?" It was Isaac who suggested.
"No, you might leave some condom in my house, as always" she joked, to have Janet burst out in another round of her lousy laughter.

Executive Floor.
"You what!?"
"You threw their Manager on the table after he declined? Was that even necessary? You have to keep that your anger in check. Why would you beat up someone just because you want them to follow your terms and conditions?...
"...did you build their company for them? How would you feel if someone does that to you? You need to start thinking with your head, if you continue this habit of yours, we are going to lose deals upon deals, man. Do you want to run this company down?" Jaden bombarded Simon with questions as he yelled out, pounding his fist on his desk.
Simon who was sitting on his chair, grinded his teeth in anger, his fists tightening against themselves as if he wanted to punch something, anything to help reduce his anger right now.
"If you have so much knowledge on how to run the company, then come, I'll handover to you" Simon snapped back at Jaden who was scolding him.
Jaden turned to look at Simon who knew he had no right to yell when he was in the wrong. "I swear, I didn't mean a word I just said." He apologized immediately, picking up the water bottle on his desk to gulp it down instantly.
"What do you think I should do now Jaden? I have no fucking idea how to get this deal back or any kind of deal. It was a huge cake man" Simon's softened eyes stared into Jaden's.
"There's no use crying over a spilled milk, Sime. How about the one's you reached out to? the other's before this" Jadens brow raised in question.
"I might have fucked them up too. It wasn't all my fault you know. Their representatives where so full of themselves, who wouldn't be glad to sign a deal with the Montero's?" He spat out, meanwhile Jaden's eyes grew wild. He gave him the 'did-you-here-yourself' look.
"You didn't read their agreements before you went for the meeting?" Jaden's eyes still fixed on him like he had swallowed something.
"I did." I replied while he shrugged.
"Then it should have been an easy cake if you had calmed down, man" he slapped the back of his hands, like he was watching football or something.
As soon as the words left Jadens mouth, the familiar anger and disappointment... yes, mostly disappointment bubbled up in Simon again.
He pushed everything on his desks to crash down on the floor. Jaden even had to jump up so the laptops and big files and pens won't hit him.
"This won't bring back the contract. From now on, I will see what I can do to help."
"By the way, I don't see your assistant anywhere. The one with blonde hair" Jaden described, his eyes beaming as he said it.
"I had an Assistant with blonde hair?" Simon asked back at Jaden who gave him a disappointing look.
"You've fired her again. She was doing pretty nice though." Jaden complimented as his face fell. He picked up the laptop and dropped it on his desk again to power it.
"Oh look, you broke the screen".
Jaden spoke quietly, as his fingers tapped repeatedly on the power button.
"Don't worry, I'll have it replaced. My documents are in the flash drive" Simon replied, facepalming and hitting his head backwards on the chair he sat.
"You mean this flash drive?" Jaden plugged out the damaged flash drive, broken into two.
"Oh, no, that's not good!" his eyes widened in realization of what he just did
"Don't sweat it. Your technical team should be able to handle it" he concluded, picking up his suitcase to leave.
"I'll reach any of them on my way out". Jaden noted, opening and closing the door behind him.
