A boy falls in love with a girl he once hated because of her pomposity...he then faces the test of letting her know his feelings
Hey everyone! My name's Jorge, I'm a Spaniard but I base in the States. I'm now a married man, just recently tied the knots with the popular and influential actress, Lucia Greens. You guys surely know her...the average height, blonde, elegant and slim Lucia Greens. Don't tell her I just called her elegant (chuckles), the whole world of Instagram would be disturbed because of excitement.
But I gotta be really honest...she made what I am today, the popular writer Jorge Bellerin, always showcasing his thirty-two to the world...even for no good reason. Though I won't want her to hear this, I'm really indebted my whole life to my wife. Apart from making my life tasty (laughs), she made me be this kind of guy that can now comfortably relate with the society...I have now fit in to the society.
Such an irony for me and Lucia to be married right? Well...in case you still have doubts about it, you are free to check out the news.
Those of you guys that knew Lucia Greens right from her teenage years when she'd already begun making waves in the movie industry...in Hollywood would prolly be shocked she got married to me. What was the name of the first movie she starred in? (thinks for a while) Yeah...The Witch...how could I forget that?!
Because of her fame, she was very proud then, only relating with people she felt were cool. And what was I then? A nobody I think, who only had one close friend besides my blood brother in school. Honestly, my life at high school was extremely boring.
I used to always suffer from heartbreaks from girls especially. No girl wanted to be my girlfriend and I gave up on love, vowing never to get close to any girl again. That was a quick decision...I know, but it did help in one way...
I'd begun writing stories from the age of 9 but I wasn't dogged to be a famous writer, would only write then whenever I feel bored. After giving up on love, I realised my potential in writing, it became my obsession, and thanks to my family, my parents and my only brother for loving my stories from the start, I had enough drive to focus on writing and keep on moving forward. I felt that was the only thing that'd never hurt me.
For Lucia, she was very good in acting right from her childhood days and fortunately for her, she was picked by the famous movie producer, Rafael Chadwick to star in The Witch movie. This movie went viral and everyone loved it. She got her fame from that very movie.
Lucia has always been a person that loves fun, though she also loved education and I didn't. Lucia was a fan of fun and parties and is still a fan but, I was just a mere boring fella. Now you see clearly the difference between us?
With what I just said...you guys are prolly wondering how we fell in love and got married right? (laughs) Oh come on! Why should you? In physics we were taught unlike poles attract each other right?
But anyways, I know many of you guys would want to know how the boring Jorge Bellerin got married to Lucia Greens, the one always groaning under the weight of fun and happiness. How did I get her to fall for me? Being myself.
I want to tell the story right away. Those of you embarking on this folklore...uhmmm sorry...I meant to say true life love story, will learn a lot and most importantly, learn something useful to keep your life running smoothly.
Let's start right away so we could come back from our journey on time before my wife calls. She can nag for the world! Let our love story begin!
Did you sense any drama?
I'm sure you did!
Let's go over to the next chapter and see what happened in Jorge's life...
Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.
Alcohol and heartbreak are definitely not a good combo.Too bad I learnt that a little too late. I'm Tessa Beckett and I painfully got dumped by my boyfriend of three years. That led me to getting drunk at a bar and having a one-night stand with a stranger. Before he would see me as a slut the next day,I paid him for the sex and deeply insulted his ability to please me. But this stranger turned out to be my new boss!
The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
For three years, I was the perfect, invisible wife. My husband, Jaden, called the songs I poured my soul into "trash," then secretly fed them to his pop-star mistress to make her famous. Then one night, after being drugged at a gala, I woke up in a stranger's bed. It wasn't just the betrayal that shattered me; it was the soul-deep certainty that this powerful, dangerous man was my true fated mate. I fled home in a panic, only to find a message on Jaden's phone confirming my worst fears. His mistress, the woman singing my songs on the radio, was pregnant with the baby he'd always told me I was too weak to carry. The nightmare deepened when I learned the identity of the man from the hotel. He was Carter Mcclain, the ruthless Alpha King-and my husband's older brother. He looked at me with eyes that knew my secret, his cruel smirk promising that my life was now a game for his amusement. Jaden had stolen my music, my dream of a family, and my future, leaving me trapped between his betrayal and his terrifying brother. He thought he had broken me, leaving me with nothing. He forgot he left me with the rage that wrote the songs. And I was about to write their final, brutal verse.
Elliana, the unfavored "ugly duckling" of her family, was humiliated by her stepsister, Paige, who everyone admired. Paige, engaged to the CEO Cole, was the perfect woman-until Cole married Elliana on the day of the wedding. Shocked, everyone wondered why he chose the "ugly" woman. As they waited for her to be cast aside, Elliana stunned everyone by revealing her true identity: a miracle healer, financial mogul, appraisal prodigy, and AI genius. When her mistreatment became known, Cole revealed Elliana's stunning, makeup-free photo, sending shockwaves through the media. "My wife doesn't need anyone's approval."
I was at my own engagement party at the Sterling estate when the world started tilting. Victoria Sterling, my future mother-in-law, smiled coldly as she watched me struggle with a cup of tea that had been drugged to ruin me. Before I could find my fiancé, Ryan, a waiter dragged me into the forbidden West Wing and locked me in a room with Julian Sterling, the family’s "fallen titan" who had been confined to a wheelchair for years. The door burst open to a frenzy of camera flashes and theatrical screams. Victoria framed me as a seductress caught in the act, and Ryan didn't even try to listen to my pleas, calling me "cheap leftovers" before walking away with his pregnant mistress. When I turned to my own family for help, my father signed a document severing our relationship for a five-million-dollar payout from Julian. They traded me like a commodity without a second thought. I didn't understand why my own parents were so eager to sell me, or how Ryan could look at me with such disgust after promising me forever. I was a sacrifice, a pawn used to protect the family's offshore accounts, and I couldn't fathom how every person I loved had a price tag for my destruction. With nowhere left to go, I married Julian in a bleak ceremony at City Hall. He slid a heavy diamond onto my finger and whispered, "We have a war to start." That night, inside his secret penthouse, I watched the paralyzed man stand up from his wheelchair and activate a screen filled with the Sterling family's darkest secrets. The execution had officially begun.
