When reached her destination, She ran into her house, her mother was crying and her little brother sat under the stairs looking miserable, "mum what's going on", her mum stood up cleaned her tears and hugged her daughter, " you are supposed to be in school" her voice came out hoarse, she pushed her mum away, "mum who cares about school, tell me what's going on with Dad" she yelled at her mother whose tears uncontrollably rolled down her cheeks,

"I don't know sweetie, Ray has gone to meet him, he will tell us everything," her Mum said sobbing, "we should be at the police station", her younger brother just stared at the ladies arguing among themselves.

" Elis shut up! I don't have time for this, get in the car, Ben you too am taking you both to your uncle's house, Elis angrily walked out of the house, entered the car, and slammed the door, Ben and their mother joined in, the drive to her uncle's house was quiet, Elis looked out the window looking at the trees while Ben played with his toy car, they reached the house they were welcomed by her uncle and his Wife.

"Oh Kate come here, their uncle hugged their mother, their Aunt hugged her, and Ben " don't worry nothing will happen to your daddy, he's a good man she said comforting the children, "am still keeping in touch with Ray, we would do everything in our power to get Collins out" The uncle placed his hands on Kate's shoulders, "I know is just that I don't know what to do, Elis is mad at me and Ben hasn't said a word" she sobbed. "I have to go to the station, I have to be there for Collins, can you look after them for me," she asked the uncle while she kept sobbing cleaning her face with her hankie, "nonsense, do you need to ask me, of course, I will take care of my kids," he said with a smile trying to ease her worries, she turned to leave but her phone started ringing she saw the caller and quickly picked the call, "hello Ray, have they agreed to release him," she said looking hopeful, but they saw her eyes widened, her phone fell on the red titles, she staggered and clutched her chest the uncle quickly held her before her back meets the floor,

all of them gathered around they all looked worried, "Kate, are you okay," the Uncle asked the woman whose entire being is trembling, "Collins, Collins" Kate stammered as she kept weeping making It hard for her to speak, "what about dad" Elis moved closer to her mum.
