"Mom, no! I don't want to get married! I'm way too young to. I'm only eighteen Plus I don't love Gerald." Chloe told her mother in tears after she discovered her parents had planned a marriage for her with one of the most wealthiest men in the country. A man she hated even his mere guts. The governor's son whose father was also a very wealthy businessman.
Right from the onset she met Gerald, she had always hated him. The way he talked with pride, the way he carried himself around like a king plus he was four years older than her. She had just newly gotten out of her teenage years and gotten into college and now, marriage?
According to her parents, the marriage had already been arranged with Gerald's parents ever since they were kids. Her father had thought of backing out from the plan but his business was failing and he needed money to revive it so Gerald was his best shot. Everything would be okay once Chloe agrees to marry Gerald. Well, not exactly okay, but things would be better. And now, it was up to Chloe to make a decision.
"But mom, I don't want to get married. I still have to be an artist, remember? I still have dreams to accomplish."
"And you will accomplish them once you get married to Gerald, honey. Come on, Chloe, do this for us. For us please? Don't let us down Chloe. Don't turn us to objects for the public to ridicule. Please get married to Gerald, please? He loves you very much and I'm sure he'd take care of you. Please Chloe? Do it for us?"
She stared at her mom as tears rolled down her eyes.

"Chloe! Chloe! Chloe, wait up!" Her best friend, Jade, went after her just as she dashed into the elevator twelve hours to her wedding.
She was getting married in the morning. She didn't think she could do it so she attempted to run away. No matter how hard she try to pretend it was okay, it wasn't. She was sealing her fate down to a man she barely knew. A man whom her parents chose for her all because they wanted to make their business better.
"I'm sorry, Jade, but I can't do it." With tears in her eyes, she took off from the hotel she was staying in that night and went to a club.
∆
From where she was seated in the club, she could see a man ogling her from afar but she didn't care. She wanted to get away from her problems but she didn't know how to. She wanted to forget. She wanted to forget about her marriage to Gerald even if it was just for a night. And eventually she did.
She was shocked when she woke up in the morning on a bed with a strange man, memories of that night rushing back into her head like a gush of wind. She remembered how the guy who kept ogling her in the club later approached her and how they chatted for a few hours before the later ended the night worshipping their bodies in an hotel room. God, she couldn't believe that she had actually slept with a total stranger. What if he's infected her with a disease of some sort? Did he even use protection? What if she ends up getting pregnant? She had to do something. With that she got up, slipped on her clothes. Not sparing the strange guy a second glance, she stepped out of the room and ran out of the hotel back to where her fate would be sealed. Sealed alongside with Gerald's. And that she did.
She got married to Gerald in the morning, making headlines as nothing but excitement filled the air. They left for their honeymoon in Paris the next day and came back four weeks later with Chloe being pregnant. Gerald was the most excited, he couldn't wait to be a father. She was surprised at the way he took care of her during her pregnant days. He would always wake her up with breakfast, cook dinner for her sometimes, get off work early just to be and spend time with her. Infact, it came as a surprise to her that Gerald could be this sweet. She hadn't expected him to considering the circumstances at which they got married. But not once had he failed to do his duties as a husband and a soon-to-be father.
But there was a secret only she knew. Only she knew. Only she knew that the child she was carrying wasn't Gerald's.

Miss Grey, then I'll pretend this never happened." " How about I burst your bubble?" With that I landed my hot fists on his handsome face, causing the Godlike man to stagger on his feet. " Let's see who lick whose shoes then.." I smirked and pulled him by the collar of his shirt. His eyes roamed to his ruffled shirt in my hands as he raised a finger to his men behind not to interrupt me. An evil idea popped in my mind as another devilish smirk played its way to my lips. "Kiss the floor I walk on.... Wesley Cooper. "

My mind screamed at me to push him away-the Lycan Prince who had humiliated me again and again, but my body betrayed me, leaning into him before I could stop myself. He pressed his lips against mine, and his kiss grew more aggressive, more possessive as I felt my legs weaken. What was I doing? In a split-second, I pulled away and slapped him hard across the face. Kylan's eyes darkened, but the smirk on his lips exposed his amusement. "You and I both know we can't fight this, Violet," he said, gripping my wrist. "You're my mate." "And yet you don't want me," I replied. "You told me you were ashamed of me, that l'd never be your queen, that you'd never love me. So please, accept my rejection and let me go." "Never," he whispered, his grip tightening as he pulled me closer. "Soon enough, you'll be begging for me. and when you do-I'll use you as I see fit and then I'll reject you."
