The Ability Steal System

"Get up you useless piece of shit, can't even take a punch" A large man stood towering over a weak looking man.

"He can't compare to you boss, he is so weak" A red haired man stood behind them watching as he licked the huge man's boot.

"Call me weak again and this weak man will beat up up so much that you will call me daddy" The weak looking man said so fiercely to the other man that he moved backwards in fear.

"If your fists were as sharp as your mouth, you wouldn't be in such a situation" The huge man said as he punched the weak man again with his huge fists.

"Where is the money Felix, just give it to us and you may be able to escape with less broken bones" The red haired man said to the the weak looking man with ridicule.

"For once why don't earn yours, you shameless dumb bastard" Felix shouted with anger as he was thrown to the ground again by the man's huge fists.

"Did you hear that red, he called me a shameless dumb bastard, hahaha" The huge man laughed widely as he lifted Felix and slammed him against a wall while punching him.

After he had beaten him until he was unconscious, the huge man searched him and found some money which he took and left with his friend.

Felix woke up after some time with a start as he looked at his clothes and his surroundings before getting up with a surprised look on his face.

"Didn't I die, how am I still here?, did I reincarnate?, arrg" Felix screamed in pain as his mind was flooded with memories belonging to the previous owner of this body.

"Seems like I would have to sell the shop" Felix said as he opened his bookshop and entered inside because he had no interest in operating a bookshop, he had more pressing matters to attend to.He looked around at the sea of books around him then went inside to tend to his injuries while thinking of what to do.

"If I had at least gotten a decent F-grade ability then I still be better off" Felix said while bandaging his wounds because he found out that his ability was neither for offence nor defence and it couldn't actually be called a support ability but with his fighting ability, he could manage while searching for uses of the ability.As he was bandaging his wounds, he heard his counter bell ring which startled him.

"I will be right there, feel free to look around" Felix said with surprise because it had been long since he last had a customer and he hadn't expected to have one at this time.

"Sorry for the delay, had a little accident today" Felix said as he came out to meet the man and was secretly surprised because the man wore a black cloak which hid all his features and he also kept his head down but what surprised him more was the fact that he couldn't sense any aura on the man which could only mean he was a normal man or he was too strong and the most probable was the first but he had a feeling that he was wrong.

"So what would you like to buy" Felix asked the man with a smile.

"I am not buying, I am here to give you this book" The black cloaked man's voice sounded in his mind as he slammed a huge book on the counter which caused it to shake from the force.

"So I was wrong, it was the second option" Felix thought because from the previous Felix's memories, he knew that he only high levelled Espers could possess such abilities.

"Um, I don't have money to buy the book?" Felix said to the man with a surprised expression.

"It doesn't matter, consider it a gift" The man said as he headed for the door.

"I am sorry but what is so special about this book?" Felix asked the man as he saw him leaving.

"This book contains unimaginable power, you don't know how lucky you are to receive this book" The black cloaked man said in a mocking tone.

"You really think I haven't heard that one before, half of the books here were supposed to "contain unimaginable power", I suggest you find another person to give your "book of unimaginable power" to because I already have enough problems" Felix said to the black cloaked man with sarcasm.

"Nobody has ever talked to me like that before and if you knew who I am, you would be on your knees begging me for forgiveness" The black cloaked man said as he released a terrifying pressure that caused Felix to fall to the ground.

"Who are you?, please I am sorry, it was a slip of tongue" Felix said as he tried to stand up while resisting the pressure.

"Hmm, it seems like I underestimated you, you are one of the few people who have ever tried to resist my pressure" The black cloaked man said to Felix with surprise and removed his pressure.

"Thank you for having mercy on me" Felix said with joy as he thanked the man but when he raised his head, the man was gone but the book was still there.

"Wow, looks like he was stronger than I expected, let's see what's so special about this book" Felix said as he took the book but found that it was surprisingly heavy, he had to use his whole strength just to move it.

"Doesn't even have a name, wow, this just gets better and better" Felix said with a laugh as he opened the book.

Immediately he opened the book, his sight became filled with a bright light which causes him to faint but he was later awaken by the sound of a bell.

"Who is that" Felix looked around but didn't find anyone so he started to wonder if he was hallucinating.

"A system, a real system" Felix said with shock before bursting into laughter.

"I just can't believe that I have system but I guess it makes sense, all the people who reincarnated in webnovels all have a cheat, I guess this is mine" Felix shouted with a wild laugh.

"Which guy.. hey what the hell are you doing" Felix stood up and saw a masked man placing some of his books in a bag.

"Wait what are you doing here aren't you supposed to have closed.. " The masked man said with surprise as he tried to hide the books he had stolen but Felix had already spotted it.

"Actually I should be asking you the same question" Felix said calmly as he stared at the masked man.

"Hmm, you weren't supposed to be included in the plan but this is just a technicality, I will just kill you myself" The masked man said to Felix as he walked towards him and immediately, Felix tensed up as he observed the man's actions while taking the knife he had under the counter.

The masked man blew some red powder from his hand but Felix was on guard the whole time so he was able to easily dodge the powder by moving backwards but he tripped and fell.

When he stood up, Felix was shocked because the powder had disintegrated everything it touched and these caused Felix's body to go cold in fear but he quickly recovered as he tried to formulate a plan.

"Shit, an assassin, he will most likely be at the F rank" Felix thought as he suddenly remembered his ability and a smile spread across his face.

"You have a quick reaction not like in the description, that shouldn't change anything though, you will still die because you have seen me but first where is the book" The masked man asked in a threatening voice as he took out a dagger which radiated a cold light.

"Who are you and which book are you talking about?" Felix asked the man as he searched the ground for the knife he had dropped from the fall.

"Still acting ignorant, you brought this upon yourself, i was supposed to take some of the books from the shop so that it would look like a real robbery but surprisingly you also decided to stay up late doing God knows what" The masked man said with annoyance as he walked towards Felix who was still searching for the knife.

"I don't know which book you are talking about, you can take all the books here, I won't say a thing" Felix said to the masked man as his hand grabbed the hilt of his knife.

"Oh I will but you see in our line of work, all witnesses must be terminated" The masked man said with a wicked smile as he leaped towards Felix with the intention of slitting his throat but at that moment.

As he leaped at him, he saw the smile on Felix's face and he felt that something was wrong but it was too late because Felix also pointed his left hand towards him and a bright light suddenly erupted from his hand which blinded the masked man and caused him to lose focus which gave Felix time to plunge the knife into his chest 3 times and slitting his throat while moving out of the way and letting him crash into the ground.

After he successfully neutralized the threat, Felix got up and stared at the hands which were filled with blood but with his experience in murdering people, he didn't feel bad but instead a familiar adrenaline rush.
