Triplets, born on an equinox, gifted by Aedia the goddess, with gifts that would manifest once they turn eighteen. Prophecies have it that one of the Snow triplets will restore the balance of magic in the entire paranormal land of Croxia. Problems set in when Bria finds out on her eighteenth birthday that all she got from Aedia was THE SIGHT, as she called it, a gift which enabled her to see halos of different colors around people's heads, a gift she never wanted and hid with all her might, until she got into the Academy of Souls where she'd meet Blair Forrest...

Chapter 1 Prologue

"Arrrgh!" Bella screamed as she scrambled up the stony path that led to the physician's house.

As she climbed the rocky hill, she silently sulked. It was one of the many moments she wished her husband was home with her, where he is expected to always be.

Before thoughts of him would latch on to her memory, she smacked herself inwardly.

"Focus Bella!" she screamed to herself, startling an owl in the nearby tree and making it fly away with a loud screech that seemed like an angry one.

If there was anything she needed at the moment, it was being able to stay conscious till she got to the physician, and as weird as it sounded, she needed every ounce of pain she could get to stay focused.

Blisters had began to form on her legs as she trudged almost zigzagly along the lonely path, having only the occasional chittering of birds as company.

"The sun is definitely unnaturally hot today", she thought to herself, then startled, as she quickly remembered what day it was- The Equinox.

A ball of dread slowly found its way to the depth of her bowels, sending a nauseous taste to her mouth.

She looked down quickly at her stomach, which protruded way more than that of any average pregnant woman. It would have been a cause for concern if it was just a normal pregnancy, but no, it wasn't.

Bella Snow, as much as she tried to deny and work against the wishes of the stars, was believed to be the bearer of the ancient prophecy, a tale of the triplets who got their magical gifts from the goddess herself, and who was believed to be be the light that would shine through their long years of gloom.

One would think that Bella would be very happy to be the carrier of this prophecy, but then she wasn't, not in the least bit.

Having almost totally lost her husband to the Soul Academy, she couldn't bear to lose her three unborn kids to the same fate.

At first, she had very strong hopes that her pregnancy would be for just one child but as time went on and the physician confirmed that she was indeed bearing triplets, all girls, she began trying everything possible to get rid of the babies she carried, at least one of them, so that she could thwart the prophecy of the stars.

However, whatever she took seemed to make her stronger and make the unborn children happier inside of her.

Her husband had advised her to let things be the way they were.

"If you are destined to give birth to the children that will save the world", he had told her when he found out what she was trying to do, "then you can do absolutely nothing about it."

Benjamin Snow was a devoted follower of the old ways, one that believed there was hope for the entire paranormal world yet, and devoted almost all of his life to teaching in the Soul Academy, the school where paranormals were trained to harness the full potentials of their powers.

He was overjoyed to hear the possibility that his wife, Bella, would be the one to give birth to the saviors of their world, and though Bella always tried to abort the pregnancy, her failed attempts put him at peace, making him further believe that it was actually a fulfilling of the prophecy.

She never relented, but kept on trying one thing after another, until she found out that she couldn't do anything to revoke the cloud hovering around her, what looked like the end of the world for her.

She was still lost in thought when she slipped on a rough patch and fell straight to the ground, landing on her protruded stomach. She landed with so much force that she couldn't help but let out a high-pitched cry of pain as she felt every bit of the impact.

On looking around and finding no one to at least, help, with the last bit of energy she had, she struggled to get back up on her feet and continue her journey to the physician's house a journey which she wouldn't have embarked on in the first place if she had simply listened to what almost everyone had told her.

After about an hour that seemed like five minutes to her, she found herself on the steps leading to the physician's door.

"One more step!" she kept telling herself, as she struggled to climb the stairs, until she couldn't continue any longer and passed out there on the stairs.

"A girl!"

"Pull her out!"

"Gentky!"

"Wohooo, another girl!"

Bella, in her unconscious state at this point, was able to make out some almost inaudible words from the Physician and nurses, as they worked on her, and with a sinking feeling, when she heard the exclamation for the third girl, she knew that this time around, she had lost to the stars, and the Prophecy was slowly coming to pass, leaving her with nothing, absolutely nothing to do about it.

She was vaguely aware of the nurses prodding her, to make sure she was stable and then affirming to the doctor that she was okay.

She was also vaguely aware of the Doctors and nurses leaving the room where she had just given birth.

All of a sudden however, everywhere became very cold, unnaturally cold.

It was an equinox, and asides the impending doom that lay with the stars' prophecy, it was supposed to be equal amounts of day and night. The weather at this point was expected to be hot, not cold. Something was wrong.

She forced herself to crack an eyelid open and what she saw made her almost jump up an alarm, only that she couldn't even if she had tried to.

A hooded figure hovered above the newly born triplets in their cot, and from time to time, a very bright light flared from the hooded figure, and got absorbed by the babies, who she couldn't see.

She needed no one to tell her who she was seeing, and with a sinking feeling in her guts, a name which she could not dare to speak hung like a bitter taste in her mouth, "Aedia!"
