"_Le Seigneur a tendance à être trop miséricordieux c'est pourquoi son peuple n'est jamais désolé mais cependant il doit être puni en conséquence_"
"_The Lord tends to be too merciful therefore his people are never sorry but yet they must be punished accordingly_"
"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you. Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you" Nanette said, reading from the bible in her hand.
"Ooooh, that was so lovely!" Lisette clapped her hand, and the rest of the members followed after.
"Yeah, it was" A sweet voice said, Everyone turned around to the lady dressed in red suit and had a thick red lipstick on. Her blond hair was packed in a high ponytail and she adored herself with thousand dollars worth of jewelries. A smirk pulled at corner of her lips when everyone's neck turned towards her, enjoying the attention.
"Gisèle! You're here" Nanette said.
"Of course, the Lord's presence is so calming" she replied, and the room went silent. "But if we love our enemies who's going to take revenge on them for persecuting us?" Gisèle's brows raised and she tilted her head while she awaited a reply.
"The lord will" Gloria replied with a cold and stony face.
"Hey, Mrs Steeve, you should smile more often, we are at his presence, you don't want to be punished," Gisèle said brightly with a wide smile and Gloria raised a brow in disbelief.
An hour later, Gisèle walked out of the room, her black heels clinking on the floor through the hallway as she stepped out of the mansion. Beside her followed her personal guard and assistant, Fay. She was a beautiful woman in her late twenties and wore something similar to Gisèle, but she wore a black suit. Her short straight hair rested on her shoulders.
"Gigi!" Lisette called, Gisèle turned in the direction of her voice.
"Lisette?" Gisèle managed a smile, as Lisette came to stand at her front.
"Why do you always provoke Gloria, it's not nice," She said, Gisèle chuckled, and looked behind Lisette to Gloria who stared at them with an angry face.
"We all came to learn, didn't we? She doesn't always seem to take my questions well" Gisèle said, and her cold fierce eyes turned to pity looking at Lisette she had no idea what was going on in her absence.
"By the way, how come you always come alone and go back alone?" Lisette asked, Gisèle looked back and found Fay waiting for her in the black shiny car she had come with. "Where's your husband?" She asked and Gisele turned to her.
"What?" Gisèle asked surprised by her questions, blinking.
"You always take off a gold ring with shiny diamonds when you arrive, is he cheating on you?" She questioned in a low voice, Gisèle managed a smile and hoped for this conversation to be over, but Lisette didn't look like she was going to stop.
"Oh, it's a pretty expensive ring, I don't want it getting missing and I am not married," Gisèle said, awkwardly.
"Oh," she replied in a disappointing tone.
"Goodbye," Gisèle said, and turned around heading to the car, as she approached Fay got down from the front seat and opened the door for her.
Lisette watched from a distance untill she lost sight of her car. Gisèle sighed heavily, and grabbed a bottle of water gulping down aggressively.
"Are you okay, Mrs?" Fay asked, Gisèle caught her gaze through the mirror and looked away instantly.
"I am" she swallowed, her breath ragged. She rested her head on the white leather seat, while she watched through the window as buildings passed by.
"Mr Deneuve is back in Paris" Fay said, and looked through the mirror but Gisèle had her eyes closed. "Do you want me to drive you to his workplace?" She asked as soon as Gisele's eyes opened.
"Can I?" She asked, and took the water bottle taking a mouthful of the substance.
"At least not when you're drunk" Fay said, Gisèle eyes caught hers from the mirror, she slowly swallowed looking away guiltily.
"Doesn't matter, I bet he wouldn't want to see me anyways" She replied, taking another from the bottle. "Everyone seemed to be pissed when they see me" she complained, "Including God" she sighed.
Fay turned the car over and headed to his office, It's been a year since she saw him last and Gisèle had almost forgot what he looked like. Paying him a visit wouldn't be that bad, but she had never introduced herself as a wife, as that wasn't part of their contract.
Émile Deneuve had quite a striking figure, he is 6ft 3 with a broad shoulder and a body made perfectly for every suit he wore. He had a boyish look as his jet black hair covered his forehead and his eyes was honey brown making him look incredibly sexy.
The car stopped at the entrance of the office and Fay got down and opened the door. Gisèle stepped down, her eyes scanned the tall building, it's been ages since she visited his office. The last time she had come over was to complete her contract with him.
"This way" Fay said, and Gisèle straightened her posture as she walked towards the elevator, her head began to spin. Had she already consumed that much alcohol?
The elevator ding open and soon after she was right in front of his office, Gisèle stopped in front of his office and breathed in slowly staring at the large executive door, there was a possibility Émile could have a lady in.
"You sure this is okay?" She turned to Fay feeling hesitant. The confidence she had gathered a minute ago had vanished, Émile always made her nervous, his glare was piercing and intimidating and also hot.
"Do you need me to check first?" Fay asked, Gisèle pouted and shook her head,
"Don't worry, I got this," she said breathing in deep, and grabbed the handle, boldness surged through her again and she pushed the door open. "He isn't around," She said as her eyes scanned the empty yet imposing office, and she turned back to Fay who shrugged.
"Huh?" Fay asked, and quickly rushed inside to check for herself, but stopped as she smelt something, she began to sniff towards Gisèle and sighed. "You reek," she said, staring at her disappointedly.
"Really?" She sniffed her cloth and grimaced and pulled out a small perfume, spraying over her red suit. "By the way, do you think he went home?" She questioned, her eyes sudden caught a red door and curiously she kept staring.
Fay followed her gaze to the red door in his office "The conference room?" She raised her brow "you want to check there, but what if he is having a meeting... I think we should rather not"
"Yeah let's check!" She said happily and headed towards the red door, her feet stomping on the floor and in a twinkle of an eye she pushed the door open.
"Mrs Deneuve!" Fay hurried and caught her left wrist but it was already late. The broad room went silent as many pair of eyes turned towards the entrance where she stood. Gisèle swallowed, and her hands began to shake letting go of the handle. There he was, sitting confidently at the head of the table looking sexy and hot in a grey suit. Gisèle lowered her head when their eyes met, Émile's gaze was cold and piercing enough to make her tremble.
"Excuse me, this is a broad meeting," One of the members said, he sounded like he was scolding her.
"What are you doing here?" His rich deep voice asked as he recognized her, Gisèle swallowed and blinked confusingly, her head was spinning and beginning to ache.
"I-" she stuttered, and looked beside him, Loup stood with a file. "I heard you were in town and I wanted to-" she paused and the boldness that left her minutes ago, surged through her again and her shoulders raised. "Can't I come see my husband-"
"Mrs Deneuve!" Loup closed the file and rushed to her, but Fay had already pulled her back.
"What are you doing!" Fay whispered, her eyes wide. Gisèle giggled and her free hand pushed the door open again, this time the broad members began to murmur among themselves, and her eyes glinted with happiness. Emile just sat there looking calm and unbothered.
"I missed you!" She slurred, she was lying, her life was perfect without him, she only needed his money. "Should I say I missed your-" before she could complete her sentence Fay pulled her forcefully out of the room and closed the door behind them.
