I could smell the stench of blood mixed with the sorrow in my heart. It was suffocating hearing the voices of children crying, although it's all past now, I could still hear their voices. I needed to throw up. It's stuck in my throat. But I knew that if I was let out of the car, I still would not deliver anything out of my mouth.
The dried blood and dried up tears stuck to my skin like a bad glue. The blood of my parents, my sister, Ashley and yes, that of my brother also. I watched them die. They were all killed by those from the Blue moon pack.
For ages, the Blue moon pack had been enemies with the pack I belonged to, Levrian pack. But there had never been an ambush. The enmity only went as far as words could go. And maybe a near clash between the two Alphas. That's what my mother used to tell me.
But on that night, we were attacked. The Blue moon pack led by it's new Alpha, Alpha Heg, attacked us and killed almost every single werewolf in the pack. Some of the werewolves did fought back, but what wolf it is that can stand against a wolfsbane?
I watched as my sister was cut in half, and my entire family was killed without mercy. And the rest of us, well, we were being taken to where only the moon goddess knows, if she even exist. I do not know what they are going to do to us, but I just hoped that I don't die a painful death. I could not defend myself. And I would not have been able to bear any form of torture. Unlike my parents and my siblings, I was yet to come into my wolf potential. I was like any human outside of this world.
The car finally came to a halt. I felt it come to a halt. I was in blindfold, and so were the others. By the others, I mean two other girls who were tied up in the same car with me.
I felt a tug on my arm and I was dragged out of the car. I whimpered as the person holding me pinched my arms.
"Is it only 3 of them?" I heard a voice say. It was a ladies voice. I wondered what she meant by if it was only the three of us. Unless she wasn't referring to us. But I was well aware, I knew she was referring to us.
"Yes Drexa!" one of the men replied. A gunshot immediately followed his reply. I became scared. Scared of the unknown. What if it was one of those girls that had just been shut.
Relief swept across my body when I heard a man screaming and crying in pains.
"You dare not call me by my name Carlos! You either call me Mistress D, or you address me as Boss," the lady said. Her voice was full of authority. I could tell that she was someone of a high ranking.
Quietness followed in after her warning to Carlos, whosoever he was. Then I heard her say something like our blindfolds should be removed. Immediately the blindfold covering my eyes were removed, I felt like my eyes had been strucked by lightening and I would prefer the dark.
I shut my eyes not wanting to see any form of light. I was seeing red even with my eyes tightly shut. Just then, I felt a stinging sensation on my cheeks. It was not just a stinging sensation. I had been slapped in the face. And it hurts so bad.
I opened my eyes to see a figure standing in front of me. I could barely tell who it was. I was still finding it hard to open my eyes wide. Then I fought the pain in my eyes and opened it well enough to see a lady standing in front of me. She was wearing a smirk.
"How old are you?" She asked. That was the first thing I heard her say since I opened my eyes.
I looked at her not responding to her question. Perhaps I was a little bit lost. I did not know if she directed that question to me or somebody else.
"Is she a mute?" The lady asked again. I presumed she was Drexa because she seemed to be the only lady in sight.
"I'm 13," I replied as I looked at her in the eye. I had no idea what pushed me to do that. She held my chin and raised it up, I hated the smile that appeared on her face. I wanted to ask her if she was going to kill me, but I could not even voice out anything with that deadly look in her eyes. It was the look that made me hate her smile.
"And what did Heg say I should do with a 13 year old?" She asked. Her question seemed to be directed to the men that brought us there. Or maybe it was just a rhetorical question because none of them answered.
"You look pale little one!" she said to me then she released my chin. She cleaned her hand with an handkerchief and then threw it away like she had just touched dirt. I must stink then.
"You all can leave now. I will take care of the girls my way," Drexa said. The men left in no time and we were left with Drexa and her men.
If there's one thing I had noticed, it was that Drexa had no fear for anyone. She seemed to be ruling her own world.
"Take them to Gladia, let her reform their looks. They look like maggots in poop," Drexa said.
I became self aware... it's not like I was not self aware, but it just got worse. Tears formed in my eyes as we were being dragged in like meat for supper.
