"Catherina, have you taken your medicine yet?"
I stopped myself from reading a novel when I heard Lana's voice. I looked at her with a smile on my face.
"Why are you smiling? You haven't taken your medicine yet, have you?"
She folded her arms and shot me a malicious look.
"Huh?" Pretend I'm innocent.
"Cath! Tito Romualdo will scold me." She said and came to me. Lana is my cousin. She is the daughter of Dad's oldest brother, almost the same age as my third brother.
"I'll take it later." I opened the book I was reading again. I was surprised because she closed it and presented a medicine pill in my face. "No, you will take this now."
I was left to fight if I could get her to be cute but when her face suddenly became serious..
"Okay okay." I sighed.
"I'm going to drink." I promised and took the medicine from her.
While I was walking to get water, the blurry face of a man appeared to me. His face is always blurry, I can't fully see or reflect his face. I'm not even sure if I know that man or not.
I got water from the jug. I wish I could see his face clearly. I'm really curious right now. Who is he in my life?
"Cath, Kurt said don't go out. He's going to get your grades." Lana said while holding her cellphone.
"Okay. As always." I said tiredly, "Uhmm. Can I have five minutes?"
"Zach will scold me." She said and nodded.
I grinned. "Now, Zach..." Wow. "I love my freedom too much."
"We're just following your brothers' orders." She said and winked at me.
"It's very protective.." I snorted.
"Just taking care of you." She said and came to hug me from the back.
"Lana, I'll miss you."
"Me too."
We're leaving for good. I don't know what their reason is, Kuya Tyler just told me that Dad wants to move so that my sick will go away, I don't question that anymore because I know that they are not hiding anything from me. I took a deep breath and looked out the window, my brows furrowed when I saw a suspicious guy. Honestly, I don't really know if it's a boy or a girl because he's wearing a hood. He was looking in my direction, at the same time I saw the blurred image of the man.
Who are you really?

After my family's sinister plots collapsed, they lashed out at me, taking their rage to a violent level. Cornered and desperate, I married Jaxton—the town's most sought-after bachelor—due to an unplanned pregnancy. Love had no part in this marriage; I assumed he married me purely out of responsibility, his heart belonging elsewhere. The moment I chose to let him go and turned to leave, he grabbed me and pinned me down hard. "Jaxton, you promised you'd never touch me!" I snapped, glaring fiercely. His eyes flashed arrogantly as he leaned closer. "You're the one who started this!"
