The fridge was half gone and teetered already; she knew how terrible the fridge was and she would have to buy another one as soon as she could since this one was beyond repair.
But how would she buy another one when she barely had any money with her to take good care of herself before thinking of renovation?
Even if she had been born into poverty, her life would not have been as hard and unbearable as it was. With a sigh, she drank from the bottle eagerly, taking it in as if this was her last opportunity to stay alive.
Not only was she thankful, it shocked her that the fridge was still freezing and make the water a little cold. This was because it seems like her fridge is the best in turning off and coming back on like it pleased. As she was about to rest on the very hard chair close to her, her mind suddenly drifted to what happened at the bar.
At first, she never had expected to see one of her class mate she bullied in high school.
She had bullied a couple that she might not even be able to remember their faces, but certainly not this one. This one was special, especially bullied and maltreated by her. She knew that in another life, he would not move closer to her if he saw her.
His name is Malik Hampton, and that was the least of them she bullied and she never expected to see him at her workplace. She could remember the hatred lingering in his face when he call her name, which sent shivers down her spine. Fear gripped her, as she knew why he looked at her that way and what the look on his face meant.
She sighed, dropping the bottle of water on the fridge and decided that it was best for her not to think about him. Massy faked a smile before going to check the kitchen for what to eat for dinner.
"I need to get some groceries, "she thought to herself as she poured the remaining cereals she found on her food items shelf.
That was all she had for now, and she obviously did not know when and how she would be capable of buying another one, but she believes in herself. After taking the cereals for dinner, she had a brief shower to warm up her body in her small bathroom, which she found it difficult to bathe conveniently. The house had come without one, so she created the bathroom when she rented the house.
While she was house hunting, this house she was staying in was the cheapest she found around the area.
She couldn't say where she loved. She never loved the house once, but she had no choice because that was what she could afford. Apart from being the cheapest house in the area, it keeps her away from her family and them being away from her.
Her mind flew back to the time she was house hunting and how worse it was with job hunting during her shower. She just didn't even know when tears started dropping from her face as she was enjoying showing. She was done with the shower in fewer minutes than usual and had to move on to another thing to do.
Massy sighed again like she was an old woman suffering from the pains of old age as she stepped out and dried her body. She tries listing to song silently to distract her a little from all that she had been thinking about before that time.
Within same period, she continues her personal stuff by dressing in her already faded pyjamas.
These pyjamas were only one out of the very many things that spelt out her wretchedness.
She put it on smartly anyway and slumped on the tiny bed in her room to relax and reflect on her life.
With her face up to the sky that her lifeless roof blocked, she brooded over her life.
She was once a daughter of a billionaire and a famous one, one of the richest in Australia, to be more precise. She was Massy Felisha Tedd, the daughter of Damon Salvatore Tedd.
If one had told her all of this would happen to her, she would have denied it because of how rich her father was.
"Everything happened because of a snitch witch, ", she cursed as she hissed and adjusted her body position on the bed. Her mind then swiftly drifted back to Malik Hampton. He had turned into a more handsome guy.
Maybe she said that because he was no longer the four eyed kid, she knew anymore.
Everything about him screamed money and more money. He was wealthy, and even his skin looked rich with the diamonds of this world.
She remembered when they were still in high school, where they graduated from years ago.
During those periods, he was always her target, and at first she only bullied him as she did to others.
But when she discovered he had a crush on her, everything changed and he became an item of bullying.
Massey bullied him, morning, afternoon and night. She was even sure that he saw her in his dreams. She heaved deeply as she thought of her high school friends, whom she thought would help her.
After she got into this mess she was in now, she ran to those who were her friends from their high school for help. But to her utmost surprise, she instead got disappointed, and they chased her far away from them, including her ex-boyfriend.
Her phone suddenly rang so loudly, disrupting her thoughts, she picked it up without even looking at her phone's screen.
