"I want to be served by her," A handsome-looking man with his eyes closed with dark glasses was talking to a restaurant waitress. His chin was advanced pointing one way.
The man was still sitting where he was, hands folded across his chest while his eyes never left looking at a waiter who was taking orders at the end of the table.
"Just a moment, sir."
"Hmmmm." That's all that came out of his mouth. Delia stepped to catch up with Lilian who also just finished taking orders from customers at table 15.
Delia approached Lilian who had just left the table at the very end. They walked over to the catering table and placed the order paper from the customer's table on a small board and stuck it with nails that had been specifically made for order paper.
"At table number 3, ask you to take the order," Delia whispered to Lilian.
"You were at that table earlier, Del."
"But he doesn't want to order first, he's waiting for you."
Lilian's brow wrinkled, surprised by the customer's request, not usually like this.
"Just be there, remember the buyer is the king."
"I'm not surprised, customers don't usually choose."
"Your crush maybe."
"It's no longer possible. I'll go there first."
Delia nodded letting Lilian go to table number 3.
Her feet were set towards table number 3, her chest was pounding a bit ass he saw the figure of a young man wearing black glasses sitting straight focused on the cellphone in her hand.
"Good afternoon, sir, have you made your order? Please, sir, can you see the menu here."
Lilian handed the man a menu book politely.
Edison , who had been stealing glances at Lilian through his sunglasses, smiled sincerely. This is what it looks like.
Many plans had been arranged in his head when he first saw the figure of the girl he had been looking for and investigating.
His heart wanted to get angry when he remembered what happened 6 months ago, he couldn't let it go. All must be reciprocated.
"Sir, please." flinched at the voice of the girl in front of him made Edison 's right hand nudge a glass filled with water in front of him. The glass fell on the floor.
PRANG!!!!
Lilian gasped.
He was nervous and shaking.
"Sorry sir, I didn't mean to startle you, let me clean it up."
Edison just stiffly stared at Lilian's departure, his hand took some tissue paper on the table, he bent down slightly to clean the splash of water that hit the bottom of his pants. Lilian was already standing next to the broken glass on the floor carrying a broom and a trash can. Edison just kept silent watching the girl's hands deftly pick up all the broken glass on the floor one by one.
"Ouch," Lilian's bloody finger was hit by a shard of glass that she wanted to take.
"Are you okay?"
Edison voiced seeing Lilian grimacing in pain.
"Yes sir, I'm fine."
The man's hand reflexes reached for a tissue and he sat squatting beside Lilian, the girl's hand was held and then the bleeding finger was wiped with a tissue.
"Be careful."
"Yes sir, let me make it myself, thank you."
Lilian was nervous about receiving treatment from the new customer where she worked.
She quickly stood up, not wanting to attract the attention of the other customers.
Lilian brought a broom and a bowl filled with broken glass behind him. A few minutes later she was back at the table where the Edison was.
"I ordered two portions of scrambled salmon, yes, drink two ice lemon tea and one salad."
"Okay sir, in 5-10 minutes ready."
"Okay."
Eight minutes passed, Lilian came carrying a tray containing Edison orders.
"Sit and accompany me to eat." Lilian was shocked, she must have heard wrong.
"Please enjoy, sir."
"Did I say sit with me to eat."
Eh! who is he, just casually ordering people around?
"Sorry sir it's my break time."
"It's your lunch time, right?"
"I still have a lot of work behind before the break, sir."
Edison called Edo who happened to be passing by next to her. Edo stopped beside Lilian, his eyes looked as if asking, 'what's the problem?'. The Lilian has been pounding since earlier, plus Edo has arrived. ouch! true problem.
"Excuse me, can I see the supervisor here?"
"I myself sir, what's the problem?"
"Wow, what a coincidence. What time is your staff lunch?"
Edo frowned, strangely with the question from the charismatic man in front of him.
"This is Lilian break time, sir."
"That's right? It means it doesn't matter if I treat her to lunch now. She's my friend."
"You can talk about that with the person, Lilian Azalea, you can take a break now, excuse me, sir."
Lilian nodded and Edo said goodbye to Edison he headed to the kitchen where the staff was doing their own thing.
Friend?
Since when?
Lilian was still silent, her eyes were wild looking for an excuse that could be used to avoid. You don't know why this man is serious about asking him to eat together. The feeling was so bad.
"Don't think too much, I just want to make up for my guilt earlier, because of me your finger hurt."
"But sir, we don't know each other," Lilian was still standing hugging the tray on her chest.
"So let's get acquainted. I'm Edison ."
Edison stretched out his hand for the girl in front of him to shake. Lilian reluctant to accept the helping hand. But she saw several eyes already watching the two of them.
With a heavy heart, Lilian welcomed Edison 's hand, trembling slightly, even though the man's eyes were closed with black glasses but she could feel those eyes staring at her sharply.
"I am Lilian, Lilian Azalea."
Hands were pulled as soon as they introduced themselves. Edison smiled sweetly.
"Sit down, I'll treat you to lunch. We're friends now."
Lilian was just silent, not shaking or nodding but she sat down too finally.
"Your hand still hurts?"
"Not anymore, sir."
"I look old huh?"
"Ummmm, no sir."
" I like talking to my own children." A smile appeared on Edison 's lips, it felt funny in his own words.
"Let's eat."
Edison placed a plate of scrambled salmon and a glass filled with drinking water in front of Lilian.
"How long have you been working here?"
"Not bad, already want a year."
"Where are you originally from, or are you from LA. here?"
"from N.Y.."
Lilian ventured. Edison smiled a little, in his heart cheered joyfully.
Yes! hit the bait.
Stupid slut.
"I'm from here, but my Fancyther is of Arab blood, and my mother is of Italian blood."
No wonder it's not native here. Of course the words were only in Lilian's heart.
After eating, Lilian cleaned the table.
He thanked Edison .
The man smiled mysteriously.
Lilian is working again as usual. The meeting with Edison earlier had disturbed her mind, but she immediately pushed all thoughts of that man away. Maybe it's true that all of this was just to atone for her guilt.
While Edison walked triumphantly out of the restaurant.
"Yes, and keep an eye on that guy."
The mobile phone is turned off after giving an order to the interlocutor on the line.
The car door opened.
He sat in his place.
The steering wheel is turned.
A sarcastic smile spread across his lips.
"Just a moment." He mumbled slowly while looking in the rearview mirror.
Daniel Grant was a special forces king, with unparalleled strength and dignity, but he became different because of Ashley Marcellus, the cute and stubborn little doctor. Their flash marriage was surprising, but even more surprising was his domination and protection of her. He was noble and aloof, cold-blooded and ferocious, but he clung to her like a child. When she proposed a divorce agreement, he pestered her every night, demanding physical compensation from her. She couldn't take it anymore: "Daniel, look clearly, we're divorced." He kissed her fiercely and said, "Don't be silly, military marriage is not something you can just leave when you want to!" Their relationship was so complicated, but also so real. They loved each other, depended on each other, but also hurt each other. This is a love story full of contradictions and challenges, but they persisted until the end.

Clarie woke up to find her boss sitting on the edge of the bed, and she was startled awake. The touch on her body made her unable to resist opening the quilt to check, she! Naked! "I...we last night..." Clarie blushed with embarrassment. "What do you mean, did we have sex last night?" her boss humiliated her in an extremely sexy voice. She couldn't meet Lucas' eyes. She admitted that the first time she saw her boss, she wanted to sleep with him. But, after all, she found he has a wife. She has taken her heart back. "I don't like having sex with a woman who's been asleep.I would feel like I was fucking a dead body. ." "Then what do you mean, we haven't done anything, right?" Clarie's fast heart beating finally slowed down. Everything was not as bad as she thought. "But, now, you're awake. I ... I think we can have sex now." Lucas lifted her chin, moved it to her ear, and shook her earlobe, "Don't think I'm blind, the first time you entered my office, I saw the desire for me in your eyes..."

Five years of devotion ended when Brynn was left at the altar, watching Richard rush to his true love. Knowing she could never thaw his cold heart, Brynn walked away, ready to start over. After a night of drinking, she woke beside the last man she should ever cross-Nolan, her brother's arch-enemy. As she tried to escape, he caught her, murmuring, "You kissed me all night. Leaving isn't an option." The world saw Nolan as cold and distant, but with Brynn, he indulged her every desire. He even bought her a whole village and held her close, his voice low, deep, and endlessly tempting, his robe falling open to reveal his toned abs. "Want to feel it?"
I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.
My marriage to Joshua Caldwell was a prison sentence. I was a Hartman trophy, sold to the powerful family who had destroyed mine. Then I discovered he was cheating. His mistress was pregnant with the child he denied me, and he was stealing my secret song lyrics to build her career. When I confronted him, he called me a spineless liability and threatened to destroy what was left of my family. To make matters worse, a one-night stand with a stranger turned out to be with my husband's brother, Anthony Caldwell-the Don of the city. He knew all of Joshua's secrets and used them to trap me in a twisted game, seeing me as nothing more than an asset. They both thought I was a broken doll they could control. I wrote a song for his mistress, a beautiful execution with a single, impossible note I knew would destroy her voice. She sang it, and now her career is over. Now the Don has summoned me to Chicago, not knowing the woman he thinks is his asset is the one who just burned his brother's world to the ground.

You can't move on?"
Elena, once a pampered heiress, suddenly lost everything when the real daughter framed her, her fiancé ridiculed her, and her adoptive parents threw her out. They all wanted to see her fall. But Elena unveiled her true identity: the heiress of a massive fortune, famed hacker, top jewelry designer, secret author, and gifted doctor. Horrified by her glorious comeback, her adoptive parents demanded half her newfound wealth. Elena exposed their cruelty and refused. Her ex pleaded for a second chance, but she scoffed, "Do you think you deserve it?" Then a powerful magnate gently proposed, "Marry me?"
For seventeen years, I was the crown jewel of the Kensington empire, the perfect daughter groomed for a royal future. Then, a cream-colored envelope landed in my lap, bearing a gold crest and a truth that turned my world into ice. The DNA test result was a cold, hard zero percent-I wasn't a Kensington. Before the ink could even dry, my parents invited my replacement, a girl named Alleen, into the drawing room and treated me like a trespasser in my own home. My mother, who once hosted galas in my honor, wouldn't even look me in the eye as she stroked Alleen's arm, whispering that she was finally "safe." My father handed me a one-million-dollar check-a mere tip for a billionaire-and told me to leave immediately to avoid tanking the company's stock price. "You're a thief! You lived my life, you spent my money, and you don't get to keep the loot!" Alleen shrieked, trying to claw the designer jacket off my shoulders while my "parents" watched with clinical detachment. I was dumped on a gritty sidewalk in Queens with nothing but three trunks and the address of a struggling laborer I was now supposed to call "Dad." I traded a marble mansion for a crumbling walk-up where the air smelled of exhaust and my new bedroom was a literal storage closet. My biological family thought I was a broken princess, and the Kensingtons thought they had successfully erased me with a payoff and a non-disclosure agreement. They had no idea that while I was hauling trunks up four flights of stairs, my secret media empire was already preparing to move against them. As I sat on a thin mattress in the dark, I opened my encrypted laptop and sent a single command that would cost my former father ten million dollars by breakfast. They thought they were throwing me to the wolves, but they forgot one thing: I'm the one who leads the pack.
