Chapter 1 MY HUMBLE BEGINNING

I'm James Marvin. The CEO of Marvin Enterprises. I am 4'5" feet tall,light skinned and I had blue eyes.

I am a smart and successful businessman. I am also a tech practitioner. I was the first and last child of my parents.Growing up, I could Remember how my father was always struggling to make end meets. I remembered vividly how he fell into debt and how his business wrecked down. One thing I was always happy about was that he never got tired or even tried to give up even when he had thousands of reason to do so.

I got a job I knew the pay was little. "Every spare penny I earned, I saved. I work at odd hours. I kept working, earning and saving. I promised myself to be strong. I was just goal-oriented. I strongly believe that with time things would get better.

"Those days were my hardest days. But, I promised not to get distracted. And I once never gave up..." As I worked, I imagined the future I wanted for myself. I dreamed of having a beautiful family. I knew once my dream of becoming a successful person comes to reality I could have all I wanted. I wanted to be recognized globally.

After,my years of commitment,and non relenting spirit. My dreams came to reality. I became a rich successful CEO. Months After, I fell in love with my wife Sarah. We married few weeks after inviting our family members and friends. I was happy that I married a beautiful and elegant woman. Indeed,Our wedding was a blessed one. My friend Jake was my best man. Jake was my childhood friend. We loved and trusted each other and shared things with each other despite coming from different background. He gave a speech on my wedding day and I was astonished. A year after, Our marriage was blessed with a son named Edmund. I and Jake were inseparable since we were little. We supported each other. And that bond only deepened as we grew older".

Jake and I always celebrated each other's successes. We became more of brothers but acted like we were born of the same parents. One could hardly tell if we were friends. Jake was still a bachelor. He acted like a second daddy to my son Edmund. My son was always comfortable around him whenever he visited. I believe he would find a good wife soon just like I found mine. I had mansions, I have different cars and so many other properties. My business was going on smoothly and I employed Anna as my worker. She played a very crucial part in the development of the company. She was smart and committed. I was grateful for allowing her to be part of my team. Anna was a smart and intelligent marketer. We were recognized globally and there was increase. It gladdened my heart the more. I was happy to see my little company grow into a global one having the right team in my side. We were also featured on TV, and many other business platforms.

" My personal assistant,Eric, was a godsend too. He is truthful, I count on him also. Whenever I am on a business trip, he handled the tasks given to him and provided them with excellent result.He was also a person of high value in the company.

Eric was my pal at the office. After,taking a cup of coffee, we head to our various destination. I was always eager to get home on time to meet my beautiful wife. She has a beautiful smile. I loved her each day of my wife. She was also an amazing mother to our son Edmund. She cooks dishes on time. We always ate together as a one big family. We kept nothing from each other because we had no secrets. My joy arose each day. " I needed a new employee. I needed a smart, intelligent and well-to-do person. I decided to post the vacancy online. And the next day a young woman at about 27 years of age applied for the job. Her name was Maria. What suprises me was that when I went through her bio I saw she came from a poor family. But, she made up her mind to take up any job that will bring food on her table. Her educational background amazes me the more. I employed her. I also told her to resume work in two days time.When she resumed, she worked really hard,learnt new things. I praised her strength and talk to her with words of encouragement. She was a good personal. She also has a good heart

After few months of working, Maria had brought new ideas and new inventions for the stability and development of the company. She worked really hard. She was efficient and our profits increased to times three of what it had been before. Other workers were also doing well in terms of their responsibility towards the growth of the organization. We worked as one. I noticed Anna has been behaving strangely towards Maria. She talked to other co-workers in the company except Maria. I watch her closely, and I realized there was something going on in Anna's heart. I decided to call her, I confronted her about her behaviour. I knew she was Jealous of Maria but I was trying to figure out what could have caused such. She explained herself. I told her to excuse me.Just then, I remembered I haven't heard my wife's voice. I called her. She picked on the first ring. I asked if she was okay, and she said yes sounding harsh. I asked her if she needed anything at home. She didn't even reply. I was surprised and I wondered what could her caused to react that way. I could tell she sounded weak and she was bothered by something.

I told her to take care of herself and I hanged up the call. I wondered what was wrong with my wife Sarah and why she has reacted like that on the phone. I forgot about my worries and focused on my work as soon as possible. By evening I went home. I saw Sarah sitting on the couch. She looks lost and moody. I felt so uneasy. She didn't even notice I was inside. I went to our room to pull off my office wear, I also took my bath and I had dinner. We were getting ready to sleep then I asked her again what was wrong with her. She explained to me that she was only stressed out. She explained she was not feeling well also. I suggested that we hire a housekeeper that would support Sarah his wife. She declined.

" I convinced Sarah. I explained to her how it is important that we get an housekeeper that would assist in doing the house chores. Sarah finally agreed,and I put a call though Jake. I told him that I needed an housekeeper and he assured me he would get one for me soon.
