You made a mistake." I remarked as I cautiously reinserted the phone into my ear following his eruption.
"Man, yeah." I pursed my lips and let out a sigh of sympathy for Noah.
The question "What did you do?" I questioned while exhaling through my nose and gazing out the window of the car at the sky. It was becoming windy and cloudy.
She had been painting. It was stunning. He stopped.
"And?" I stumbled.
"I just wanted to look more closely. Then, all of a sudden, I was whirling and noticed that the painting was covered in blue paint, my clothing was covered in red paint, and her head was dripping with purple paint. You ought to have seen her face, dude. I was being damned to the moon and back by her. You know, it was difficult not to chuckle when she had a bucket on her head. It was inaudible to me. It was terrible. I mocked him as he moaned. " Joke around all you want, man. You'll undoubtedly run into a female one day who will make you insane.
I chuckled as I retorted, "Yeah, right." You already know that it will always be the other way around.
"You'll notice," Noah responded with assurance. This is a curse I've put on you.
"Whatever, Noah." I grinned wryly. "It won't take place. Girls are obsessed with me.
We are here, sir. Informed the driver, and I nodded.
"Get the file for me."
I sighed and leaned back against the leather seat as he instantly got out.
It's a curse," Noah said further. Billionaire boy, try not to be so arrogant. It will take place. You're going to lose your mind because she's going to drive you so mad.
I promptly stopped him mid-sentence when my eyes locked on a woman who was strolling down the street. It wasn't just a regular woman, either. She was decked out in a bridal dress. She walked while dragging a long white gown behind her. It displayed all of her curves and fit her well. Her face was covered with loose blonde hair. She was holding onto her high shoes with her fingers. She had chocolate in her other hand. She was chewing on them while barefooted, moving along the sidewalk and dodging the strange looks from bystanders.
She walked with a spring in her step. She was grinning as she observed the overcast, windy weather. She appeared to be a goddess because of the way her blonde hair was flying around. She was surrounded by a vibrant vitality that amazed me. I briefly experienced something piercing my heart before a warm sensation went throughout my entire body. Automatically reaching for the car door, I rolled down the window for a better view. The entire street was staring at her, and sure enough, she appeared to have nothing to offer.
especially while chomping on a chocolate bar.
I rubbed the hot skin around my heart as I caressed my chest. Why does it feel like an arrow has been shot straight through my heart? Why does that matter? Did Cupid shoot an arrow at my heart or something? Where is that sly, evil lad now?
Why am I thinking this way, and what's wrong with me? What are these ludicrous ideas? Why am I asking so many questions? What? Stop.
My mind was racing with a gazillion questions as I brushed away all the silly ideas and returned to her in awe. She is who? Why is she dressed in a bridal gown? The groom has vanished. Why the chocolate, you may ask?
Alex? "I'm a douchebag!" My train of thought was abruptly interrupted by Noah's words. I tried to focus on what the guy was yelling in my ear, but I was distracted. I experienced her presence as entangling. After terminating the call, I put my phone in my pocket.
I had to get to know her.
She abruptly came to a stop and turned to look both ways at the road. She frowned and put her hands on her hips in a juvenile manner as she waved her hand to try to stop a taxi from speeding by her. I grinned at the behaviour. My hands were suddenly itching to grab the wheel and head in her direction, to bring her home and keep her there forever.
That's what I did, then. I hopped over to the driver's seat and checked my appearance in the tiny mirror that was hanging from the top. I took the wheel and steered the automobile in her direction with a grin on my face. She glared and looked directly at me.
Fuck.
Her eyes attracted my attention right away. They resembled cats and were hot. Suddenly, a long-forgotten memory came to mind. But it escaped before I could catch it.
She had a model's appearance. I was intrigued by all of the secrets that appeared to be hidden behind her eyes. They were seductively black and made you shiver. She's sexy.
I tried to keep my cool while trying to slow my heartbeat since I could feel her eyes lingering on mine. My lips were teasingly smirking.
"Wanna watch a movie, eat pizza, and fall hopelessly in love at my house?" I grinned. "Just a thought."
She arched her eyebrows, appearing unimpressed. She suddenly extended her lips in a flirtatious smile, and I grinned triumphantly. She kneeled down and brought her face up to my level. She leaned even closer to my face, sending my heart rate over the roof. Her instantaneous grin vanished, and she replied, "No thanks." She moved backward while searching for another cab.
My body started to shake. I blinked as I tried to process her rejection of me. Her rejection left me a little saddened. Just a little.
I guess a lot.
I can't recall ever having a girl reject me that quickly. What was this woman doing to me, and who was she?
