"50 million dollars." She said, making Orchid gasp in horror, who in his right senses would buy her for 50 million, she thought but this man, he said "100..." A short reply that made her wonder if he was truly in his right senses. No one spoke any more, it was as if the Mafia King himself had just sealed the deal, little did she know that he was truly the Mafia King and a Vampire at that. Madame Lilah practically threw Orchid down and she fell at his feet, hurting her ankle. "Raise your head." He said and she slowly looked up to stare at him. Once again, she was lost in his beauty. "Don't think you are free now. Finally you are mine. Orchid Simmons. I'll make sure to drain every single drop of blood to the extent you won't be able to plead anymore." He bent down to her size slowly.
Her life had not been perfect, never had it been.
She ran into the car as her parents wanted to take her on a road trip.
The men in black suits who she had always seen everywhere around her since she was born got into the cars at their front and back.
"Mum, where are we going to this time around?" She asked, her missing tooth revealing as she smiled.
"It's a secret." Her mum replied and chuckled as she got into the passengers seat beside her dad.
"We are taking you to the best place in Italy, baby." Her dad added and she pouted.
"I'm seven. I'm now old enough to know secrets." She said.
"Okay....okay. Fine. It's not a secret but a surprise now." Her mum said cunningly.
"Mum, that's not fair..."
"And if you are told the surprise now, it won't surprise you anymore, would it?" Her dad laughed. She sighed childishly as she looked at the trees as they passed. It looked like the trees followed her and she chuckled.
"What's so funny...." The car tumbled twice and all she could hear were screams.
Glasses were broken and she could see blood everywhere.
"Mum....Dad." she muttered slowly as she coughed. She rolled out of the open door and her body could be seen, filled by bruises all over. The cars at their front and back had also been involved in the accident and there was no one to call for help. She trudged slowly to her dad's window and she could see his neck bent awkwardly, blood splurging out of his forehead. She gasped and bent down beside him.
"Dad....wake up" She said slowly, stretching her hands to touch her father.
"Dad.. Dad....Wake up!!!" She screamed as she lost consciousness and just then, her eyes flew open, right in time for her to avoid a bowl of flour being emptied on her head. She rolled down from the small and poverty ridden bed, hitting her waist hardly on the floor and the flour emptied on the bed instead.
Madame Lilah gasped slowly, she wasn't expecting Orchid to avoid it.
"Dodging now, are we!" She said wickedly and dragged her by the hair, taking her out.
"Ma'am.." she screamed painfully as Madame Lilah threw her on the floor.
"I've done enough, taking care of you, all this while and now it's time for you to leave!" She said.
Taking care?
It was more like using her and dumping her to her fate. Orchid was not glad a little bit, if Madame Lilah discarded her now, where would she go?
It was not like she knew anyone in the town. She had been taken away from an orphanage home after losing her family and had been brought to this place called hell. Madame Lilah ran a large bar and she automatically became a worker both in the club and at home, the only thing she was grateful for was that no one ever took notice of her, probably because she looked unkempt and the clothes she wore were too large to bring out her beauty, else she might have become a stripper for all she knows.
But she couldn't leave. Her whole life was here, if she leaves now, there was no where to go. She had never left the vicinity and she won't now, she can't.
She suddenly grabbed Madame Lilah's leg as she was about to go back in and the woman looked at her with a sinister smile.
"Ma'am, please.... there's no where for me to go..." She begged.
"Really?" Lilah said pitifully before chuckling.
"But what to do... I'm tired of keeping you, you don't earn for what you take, Orchid. I can't condone you any longer."
"What do you want me to do? I'll... I'll do everything. Just don't throw me out on the streets in the middle of the night." She cried, which made Lilah laugh more.
"What do I want from you... Let's see...how about I give you off to some stranger, you might be lucky and fall into a home where you would be the favourite mistress..." She laughed. Orchid stared up at her slowly. She couldn't believe this woman was as evil as this, give her off to some stranger? Was she some goods?
"Just auction her off, mum." Ella, Madame Lilah daughter laughed as she watched.
"That's right, why didn't I think of that since." Lilah gasped and clapped her hands twice.
Two ladies rushed out immediately, Orchid recognized them, they were madame Lilah's special guards, they were mad up of five specially trained ladies for war at any time. What was she going to do to her?
"Clean her up and dress her nicely. Orchid would be up for auction this night." She smirked. Orchid gasped.
"Ma'am, no.... please I beg you .." she screamed frantically as the two girls dragged her up and took her in. She was no match for them, she was a weak petite lady who had never eaten enough proteins to rebuild lost tissues. How could she be strong enough to fight back?
She was bathed and dressed up in nice clothes that she has never had the luxury to touch since she came in here and now, she was being sold, they dressed her up in it?
It irritated her, the make-up on her face made her feel ugly, she should have been glad to be beautiful at least once but this, it made her feel bad.
She was dragged out on heels she was never never trained to walk on and she staggered and almost fell multiple times. Ella laughed when she saw her and she felt timid like a leaf overcomed by the ferocious blowing wind.
"Finally, you are out of my hair. I'll never have to see you again. Just so you know, the bar is filled up with Mafia Kings of different grades and evilness, I'm sure all of them would be eager to rip you open and get into you as quick as they can ...
The thought of that made Orchid shiver and she hoped that would not be true. She hoped she would be taken into a good home where she can just be treated as nicely as a maid, that was all she could try to wish for.
"Aah...." Ella said as she just remembered something.
"Have you heard of The Vampire King?" She muttered.
"It wasn't just a tale. I heard he is coming here tonight. Maybe, your blood would be as enticing to him...I can't wait to see you being drained of blood.....
Ella smirked and pushed her out if the way before leaving. Her body ran cold, the hairs on her skin stood up in fright. What if she got into the hands of the vampire? She had heard tales of him herself and it turns out they were real, would her blood really be drained?
The ladies dragged her into the bar and all eyes turned to look at her. Madame Lilah chuckled liking the effect, she should have thought of this since, turns out Orchid was a way for her to make more money. She started the auction earnestly.
"1 million..." Someone said.
"2 million.."
"8 million..." The price kept on increasing and Orchid was continually in fear of who her buyer would be.
"20 million" Someone suddenly said and even Madame Lilah gasped.
"Is there any other bid?" She asked and no one spoke.
"Then she goes to....
"I'll buy her." Someone suddenly interrupted and walked in.
Orchid's throat ran dry quickly, not only out of fear because the man had a dark aura surrounding but also out of awe. She had never seen someone so beautiful as a portrait in her like before. He looked like those Greek god of the old times.
His hair was dark and long, falling over his shoulders in cascading beauty, the eyebrows peeking out were darker and full, arranged carefully, his blue eyes like a drop of water embroidered by long full lashes that made her wonder if he was a female, his pointed nose and plump lips made her fall instantly. He had a large build that would definitely make her look tiny beside him and she thought he could definitely carry her with just a hand. But all that stopped when Orchid remembered that he was just another buyer, just another mafia king like others here.
"You'll buy her?" Madame Lilah gasped. She never expected the Vampire King to become interested in someone like Orchid, but she wasn't going to take a loss.
"50 million dollars." She said, making Orchid gasp in horror, who in his right senses would buy her for 50 million, she thought but this man, he said
