Chapter one
If wishes were horses beggars would ride.
Alya and her parents set up early to Han International Bank to borrow the sum of eight hundred million dollars.
Han International Bank got its name after The Han River Bridge.
All documents were signed and the money was given to the Sid's family. Mr Sid is a renowned contractor in the whole town. He was given a contract that would turn his life around but the deal was he would use his money to do the work. After the work, he will be paid. This was a big opportunity for Sid's family as they would become one of the most influential people in the whole town.
Collecting the money from the bank manager, the Sid's family headed home.
On getting to the Han River bridge, a black Camry crossed its way and started firing into the thin air.
The unknown gunmen started firing. No other cars were either coming or going. This was strange as the Han River Bridge was one of the busiest roads in town.
Mr sid quickly winds up the car windows. Mrs sid locked the back door and his Alya under the car seat. A rifle was used to break the car window and the unknown gang leader pulled Mr Sid out of the car roughly. He pointed his rifle to Mr. Sid.
"Where is the money?" He demanded.
He was a heavily built young man, in his late thirties. He has a round face and a beard covered his jaw. He is bald and from his look one will know he is ready to do anything for money. He wore an orange shirt with a jeans. He tied a black bandana on his head. A drawing of a cobra was on the bandana.
"Th- there is no mo- money with me," Mr Sid said stuttering.
"Do you think we are here to play?" Another member of the gang thundered firing into the thin air. Mrs. Sid screamed and Alya whimpered.
"I understand bu- but there is no money with me," Mr. Sud said stuttering.
One of the gunmen opened the car's back door and pulled Mrs. Sid out of the car.
"I do not have much time to waste," the leader of the unknown gunmen said and shot Mr. Sid in his head.
Alya's heart pounded as she watched her father get shot. The car window was down, and she could hear the sound of the gunshot. She screamed and covered her ears but it was too late. Her father's body hit the ground, and she felt the wind rushing towards her. The world was spinning around her, and she felt like she was going to be sick. She could not move, could not talk, could not do anything but stare at the place where her father had been. Her father was dead and he is in the pool of his own blood.
Mrs. Sid was crying profusely. Her heart dropped and fear gripped her. Her body shook as she stared at her dead husband's body lying on the floor.
"He is not dead," she told herself but deep down her heart she knew he was gone. Gone forever.
One of the gunmen pulled Alya out and dragged her roughly to her mother. Alya wrapped her hand around her mother but she was pulled away from Tue warmth of her mother. A gun was pointed at Alya.
"Where is the money?" Another member of the armed gang asked. His gun pointed at Alya.
"Answer or your daughter will be killed?" The gang leader said.
Alya stared at her mother with tears on her face. Tears streaming down her face like a rain. Her body shook. Her hand tightened is gripped on her dress, her breath haggard.
She shook and head and said whimpering," Mother do not,"
"Please do not kill her," Mrs. Sid said tugging the feet of the gang leader. He hits her with the rifle he was holding.
The gang leader points his gun at Alya. His hand is on the trigger.
"Check the booth," Mrs sid shouted.
"Go check it," The gang leader said to the young boy among them. He is of seventeen age. The same age as Alya. The boy went to the car's front door and clicked on a button beside the car door. He headed back to the car booth, opened the car booth, and carried the bang to the black Camry car.
That moment, Alya noticed it was five men that carried out the operations including their driver and the gang leader. And all of them were wearing a black bandana with the drawings of cobras on their forehead except the young boy of about Alya's age whose cobra drawing was on his hand. Seventeen years old.
"Everything is set," the boy said to their leader. And at that moment his eyes and Alya's eyes met and held for the longest moments. He was surprised to see a young girl, so beautiful and richly dressed. For some reason, he wishes to save her but he cannot. Everything was just a wish. If wishes were horses beggars would ride.
"Am sorry," the gang leader said to Mrs. Sid and shot her.
Alya's heart skipped a beat.
"Why will he say he is sorry and still kill her?" Alya thought. Looking at the seventeen-year-old boy, anger and hatred filled her heart up. She became angrier at the way the boy was looking at her. She saw arrogance in him yet in his face, she found a tint of sorrow.
Tears trickled down her face like a dew dropping on the little plant. But this dew was a sad tears. She mustered all the strength and courage left with in her to face what was coming towards her next. She closed her eyes as she awaited the painful death approaching her slowly. The armed robber pointing a gun at her head uses the edge of the gun to hit her on her head.
All the gang members returned to the black Camry car they had brought except the young boy and the armed man hitting her. The armed man pointed his gun at Alya, his hand on the trigger, and was about to release it when the young boy talked.
"I will do it," the young boy said. Alya despite being in deep pain could hear arrogance in the boy's voice.
"Give it to him," the gang leader commanded, have been looking forward to this type of day."
The man gave the gun to the young boy. He collected the gun and pointed it at Alya. He pulled the trigger. The last thing Alya heard was the sound of the gun.

"The entire wealthy circle in Seattle knew how much Stella Carlson loved Aaron Malone. People watched the childhood sweethearts grow from inexperience to maturity, finally getting married in a grand wedding ceremony. On the day of the wedding, despite the alliance between the Carlson and Malone families, the groom ran away. Stella knew that Aaron had rushed to L.A. to take care of his ex-girlfriend, who had attempted suicide. Unwilling to become the laughingstock of all Seattle, she gritted her teeth and dialed the number of her adversary, her tone almost commanding, "Ethan, come and marry me now. This is your only chance for revenge." On the other end, Ethan Powers raised an eyebrow as he gripped his phone, staring at the floor littered with cigarette butts. "Did the groom run away?" he asked. "My darling."
