"I.. I need to go, Zayn. You have a meeting at... I need to.." he stuttered in panic trying to escape, but it was a futile attempt as I had him pressed against my desk. "Pumpkin, let me make myself clear. I am not letting you go, not now, not ever. Especially after you left me with this" I replied before clutching his hand and placing it on my crotch. He gasped and then flushed deliciously red. Oh, I was so going to enjoy this. Zayn Crawford, self made billionaire and hearthrob has closed himself off from the world and promised never to feel again after an accident nine years ago. His plan had been going well untill it wasn't . His best friend and the source of his coldness towards romance suddenly appears by his side once more and that too as his secretary. A plan for revenge, a dark past, dark secrets and passionate desire. Will Zayn be able to open his heart again? When he finds out that nine years ago was more than he knew, how would he take it? Follow Zayn as he unravels his second chance with his green eyed pumpkin, Will Crest.
Zayn Crawford stood in his office and he stared out through the glass wall, his office being on the highest floor gave him an outstanding view of the city. With his hands in his pocket, he felt himself relax in the silence of the room, until it was suddenly disrupted by the ringing sound of his phone. He moved closer and peered down at the screen that revealed the name 'The devil herself'.
"What does she want now?" He muttered and walked back to the front of the glass, completely ignoring the call...more like he tried to. The ringing echo filled the room persistently as he tried to find the relaxing feeling he felt a while ago. It was quite impossible with all the buzzing, and waiting for it to end was no use, she calls back again. He groaned and picked the call.
"What..."
"...why aren't you picking your calls?! Don't tell me you're still asleep?!"
His mom's yell pierced through the phone and Zayn winced at the damage she'd done to his ear. He brought the phone back up but putting a distance between it and his ear 'cause he wasn't ready to go deaf at the age of twenty-six.
"I'm not asleep. What'd you want?"
"So you really were ignoring my calls! I see you're trying to pick up that nasty character from your dad but I'll tell you it won't snatch you a wife. Are you seriously trying to live in this world alone without showing me my grandkids? People your age are freaking out there making their parents happy with cute little grandkids but you just have to be an asshole and chase off every – single – lady that comes your way. I have sent you six different secretaries now but your smartass didn't think of making one of them yours! Do you really have to be as gullible as your father?! When will you grow up and..."
He pinched the bridge of his nose as he was getting tired of hearing her nag all the time. He remembered all six secretaries she had sent were not giving him the result he wanted, sometimes they would mess up his schedule and make him miss important meetings, some were never on time, and one even had the nerve to give herself a whole week break without his content. He wanted someone hardworking and they just weren't it. He started to think she was focusing more on setting him up than getting work done, even if he did find someone he like, it wouldn't last.
Not with his current situation at hand.
He rolled his eyes and lowered the phone to place it on the table for her to rant on but he flinched when he heard her say.
"If you put your phone down and leave me to keep talking, I swear I will book a flight this instant, come over there, and beat your ass up. Pick up the damn phone"
Zayn couldn't hide his surprised look as his head turned from one corner to the other, he couldn't help the thought that she'd installed a camera somewhere around him. What actually frightened him was the fact she could actually book a flight instantly and the last thing he wanted was to see her face.
"Look. I told you to call me only when you have important things to say and this isn't important. I have a meeting soon, do you really want me to be late?" He said knowing she would let him go if there was something work related.
"... alright fine, but I'm not done with you"
"You always say that."
She scoffed and said "look at you trying to act all grown up when you can't even snag yourself a wife. Who exactly did you get this attitude from?"
He couldn't believe she was actually asking. It was pretty obvious.
"Anyway, I told you I don't need a secretary. I can handle things just fine on my own."
"It's too late for that. If you had picked up my calls yesterday perhaps things would've been different."
"What'd you mean?" He asked suspiciously as he knew she'd done something again. He heard a gentle knock on his door and his head spun around to see the door open. The red suit with the exceptional golden pin with a star on the left chest pocket caught Zayn's eyes and he looked down at himself.
It was their company product and the same as what he had on.
It was a limited edition they had produced. Just three of it's design was made. He had one and two others were sent out. Who knew he would get to see another with the same exquisite taste. He thought the other person actually appeared quite decent and appealing in it, then he looked up at the face of his imitator and he froze.
He could immediately recognize the beauty mark next to the alluring pair of Sapphire green eyes. The curly brown hair and the soft feel it had to it remained in his head like he had just touched it a minute ago...
...but its been nine years.
Time seemed to stop in the silent room as the two stared at each other.
"Anyway, I got you a new secretary."
Zayn blinked as he had forgotten he was still on the phone with her, then her words sunk in and he said
"What?!"
"You wouldn't be so surprised if you had picked up the phone last night. I was calling to tell you I got you a new Secretary. He should've arrived by now. Don't worry, he's much more capable than the others and I know he wouldn't slack off."
Zayn's head cocked to the side at her words and he glanced at the person in front of the door, he thought he was overthinking things– but then again, he knew she could do it.
"I was so shocked to see him, but I knew he would be the best to work with you." her words confirmed his suspicion and he shut his eyes "He can help me talk some sense into you to get a wife and..."
"I have to go, I'll Call you later." Zayn said abruptly and ended the call before she could say anything else. He slid the phone on the table and placed both hands on it as he let out a huge sigh, having a talk with his mom drained him out a lot, she moved too fast for him and he knew it might be the 'cause of his end. He straightened and looked at the other person in his life that moved too fast for him.
Will Crest, his childhood friend who had suddenly cut off all ties with him and had disappeared without
leaving a trace behind. With no way to contact him, no relatives to get through to, and no clue of his whereabouts, Will managed to stay hidden for nine years. Now Will was right in front of him but he didn't know how to feel anymore, he fell silent for another minute and he exhaled.
"Is there anything you want to tell me?" Zayn asked, breaking the silence.
"I don't think there should be. The director said she was going to let you know that I would be working as
your se..."
"...nine years ago." Zayn cut him off as he felt the sound of Will's voice soften the brimming anger inside him, but he couldn't have that.
First thing first, he needed answers.
"What happened? What made you leave like that?"
It was Will's turn to let out a sigh as he stuck his hand in his pocket. "Look, I'm sorry I left without a word, but it really was nothing. It's all good now."
Zayn scoffed as he felt something explode inside him.
"It was nothing? It was nothing?!" Zayn repeated with furrowed brows "If it was nothing then you would've told me you were moving out. You wouldn't have planned an outing you weren't going to show up for. You would have kept your line active and you would have stayed in contact with me! Do you know how worried I was?!" He could feel his voice raising, and as much as he wanted to stay calm he couldn't. "Nine years Will... Nine years. Where were you? What were you up to? Where you doing okay? Were you even alive? I kept asking myself these questions, I felt I was at fault for not seeing anything different about you before you left and I kept asking myself if that was how little you thought of me that you couldn't even tell me what you were going through."
"I swear I didn't intend to make you..." Will tried to speak but got cut off again.
"Tell me what happened nine years ago." Zayn said firmly as he stared at Will.
He wished Will would talk to him, he didn't want to feel like he wasn't good enough as a friend and a brother, he wanted to get rid of the disgusted feeling that had been stored inside him for the past years.
But what hurt him most was the fact that even as he stared at Will, he couldn't read his composed face. It'd always been that way, and it seems it still remained so. Always hiding his thoughts behind such a look or behind a smile.
"I told you it was nothing." Will replied and once again the room got covered up in silence. Zayn's head hung low and he swallowed as he felt his patience run out.
"So you're gonna be like this till the end? Alright." He said with a nod and pointed at the door, then he growled "Get out!"
"What?" Will's brows furrowed.
"I said get out. I don't want you as my Secretary, I'll get someone else to work for me. We've stayed nine years apart so what's wrong if we add another nine years? Or maybe forever." Zayn said and Will gave him a look like he was saying 'quit acting like a child already'.
"Unfortunately for you, I already made up my mind to work here once I accepted her offer."
"And unfortunately for you I'm firing you. Get- out!"
"You can't fire me 'cause you didn't hire me."
Zayn's brows furrowed "I'm your boss."
"But I thought you didn't want me to work for you?." Will said and Zayn paused as he realized what had just happened. Will flashed him a smirk that exposed his shiny, halo-white teeth and Zayn's head felt hot as he couldn't believe he just thought Will looked hot when he smiled, even as he was trying to play a joke on him when he was being serious. He went around the table and closed up the distance between them in a stride up, and he grabbed Will by the collar as his smile faded off.
"Look Will." He said softly but with his voice still menacing. "I value the work relationship in my company, therefore I won't work with a traitor who can't keep their promise and disappear without a word for nine years. I don't want you anywhere near me, so get the fuck out of my office before you disgust me any further than you already have."
He thought he saw a glimpse of anger on Will's face but he felt he was mistaken, Will wasn't the type to let his emotions show much. Zayn hadn't meant what he said, he was in fact glad to be so close to Will that he felt he was going to hug him, but he couldn't break character. Not after the front he'd pulled.
He stared at Will in the eyes like he could get answers from them, but the unyielding yet seductive pair of green eyes simply stared back at him with his soft-looking lips sealed.
"I get it, you're mad at me." Will said and hung his head "but I suggest you focus more on the issue at hand, you have a meeting in the next four minute." Will raised his head and added quietly "Don't you need to take care of that first?"
Zayn's brows shot up in confusion as he thought Will was simply trying to wiggle his way out, but then Will directed his eyes down as if to say "look". Zayn followed his gaze and he froze as his brain finally processed the throbbing pain between his legs, his bulge stuck out like a sore thumb and his eyes widened. He stepped back, dumbstruck, as he couldn't take his eyes off his pants.
"The meeting today is an important so you have to hurry." Will said and tried to hide his smile "I'll... Wait outside and let you handle that."
He went out of the office, leaving a confused Zayn who couldn't stop staring at his bulge, he slowly raised his hand and touched his pants which made him wince in response, the painful and hard feel of it was real.
"I'm... I'm- hard?" He muttered.
*****
Zayn stared at the tinted glass as he went through a serious mind trouble. He'd just gotten hard, and it wasn't a fluke but a real boner. Anyone would've thought this to be normal...but not him, not after he'd been suffering from erectile dysfunction for nine years. He's never told anyone about it, not even his mom, although, his personal doctor was aware of this but he knew he could trust Kay to keep it a secret. It's been the stain in his relationship these past years and now it suddenly decided to come back to him.
His mind was everywhere as he couldn't make out how to feel about it. He knew his taste in women and how turned on he could get with the sight of a woman's full chest, but the strange thing was the fact that there was no lady in the office, it was empty with nothing but two dudes standing inside it. So what on earth made me get hard? he thought. His mind went to the coffee he had taken before he left, he had just gotten a new brand, could that be the trigger? No. He knew it wasn't it because it was a new brand but it wasn't his first time taking it.
Whatever it was, he couldn't make it out. Now he was late for the meeting because no matter how hard he jacked off, it refused to settle down.
What am I some teenager going through puberty? he thought as he let out a soft sigh.
