Everything started from a deal. Pregnant with a stranger's child, she married the man to who she had been engaged since childhood. Their marriage was supposed to be an impersonal deal, but she soon began to have feelings that she shouldn't have for her husband. When she was about to give birth, he threw a divorce agreement at her which sobered her up. Only then did she realize how foolish she had been.Later, he said, "Honey, come back to me. The one I love has always been you."
Scott and Mitch walked back out to the party, and found Avi immediately, knowing he would want to know how they were doing. Avi smiled at them. "Well, you two have made quite the impression on the Alphas here. Everyone who is even the slightest bit drunk, is talking about the Alpha/Omega duo, that both look fantastic in shorts."
Scott's face flushed with embarrassment. "Really?"
Avi nodded once, taking a sip of his drink before handing it to Kirstie so she could do the same. "Absolutely. Oh, and Kevin just came back from his shift bartending, and he said it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be." Scott nodded slowly. "Oh, that's... Nice..." Avi nodded and patted him on the shoulder. "Glad you guys are okay though. Heard that Mitchell's sass was beyond hilarious." "It was." Scott assured, before laughing a little. Mitch leaned into his side, slipping his hand under Scott's jacket to run his fingers along Scott's back, although it was covered with a thin shirt. Avi smiled at him. "You never fail to amuse me, Tiny." Mitch giggled. "I try." Alex came out of nowhere and set a hand on Mitch's shoulder. "Hi! How are you guys?!" Mitch leaned away slightly. "Why are you so loud?" "I don't know!" Avi tilted his head at him. "Stop shouting, good Lord. Are you okay?" Alex was afraid of his tone, so he obeyed and began to whisper. "I'm fine. I took a few sips of Todrick's drink, but he said I could so." "You're allowed to drink?" "Yeah. One of Travis' rules." Scott frowned at him. "You weren't allowed to have cake, but you were allowed to drink alcohol?"
Alex shrugged, leaning into Mitch without noticing. "Guess I never thought about it like that."
Kirstie frowned too. "That's so sad..." Alex shrugged again, leaning even more into Mitch.
Avi took a step forward and grabbed Alex's suit jacket to force him to stand up straight. "Please don't squish him." Alex giggled. "Oh, sorry." Scott grabbed Mitch's forearm and pulled him carefully to stand on the other side of him, so Alex was no longer beside him. Alex turned and walked away without another word, and Avi just watched him, shaking his head. "I will never understand that boy."
Kirstie took a sip of the drink in her hand, raising an eyebrow. "You said the exact same thing about Alpha Scott."

Midnight was fast approaching, and everyone was playing drinking games and talking loudly over music that someone decided to put on. Most the Alphas had taken off their suit jackets to be more comfortable, and many of the females took off their heels. Mitch convinced Scott to play a game with him, and a few other couples, but none from their pack. Alex somehow got roped into a game of drunk Twister, and Jake stood near the game just to be safe. Both Betas were deep in a conversation with some other Betas, and Avi was helping Kirstie get something else to eat. Scott hadn't had a single drop of alcohol. In fact, the only people in the pack that drank at all were Todrick, Alex and Avi. However, Scott was convinced Mitch was drunk by getting him involved in this game. All it was, was a group of people feeding each other licorice with only their mouths. Red licorice, luckily. Had it been black licorice, Scott would have walked straight out the door. Mitch loved the game, which is the only reason Scott was still standing there. Mitch would grab his shirt to pull him down to feed him the licorice, and then they would both chew until their lips touched. Mitch giggled the first time and shouted. "We're like Lady and The Tramp! I get to be the lady!" Scott pulled him into his body with an arm around his lower back, staring into his eyes and smirking. "Are you calling me a tramp?"
Mitch giggled and pushed his chest away. "No. I would never!"
Scott leaned down to kiss him once more, and then withdrew his body completely.
Finally, midnight began to approach. And as the final minutes ticked away, Avi found his pack naturally drawn towards each other as they watched the television screen count down. Jake and Alex were stood beside each other, behind Avi and Kirstie. Alex was leaning into Jake's side for support, while holding Todrick's hand tightly on his other side. Todrick was pressed against Kevin's front side as they simply took in their surroundings. Kirstie smiled when there was only half a minute of the year left, but her smile dropped when she saw Mitch standing alone. Kirstie pushed Avi away in a hurry, and took the few steps necessary to get to Mitch. "Honey, where is your Alpha?" Mitch glanced toward the side of the room. "Bathroom." "Of course he chooses right now to go to the bathroom." Kirstie grumbled. People began to count down, as the last ten seconds dwindled. Kirstie wanted to help Mitch, but Avi snagged her wrist and turned her around to prepare to kiss her. Kevin and Todrick were already staring into each other's eyes, bright smiles on their faces as they waited for the new year, Todrick's hand still clutched tightly in Alex's larger one off to his side.
Scott walked quickly out of the bathroom, and Mitch ran over to kiss him, allowing their hurried lips to meet the instant the clock ran out. Mitch was up on his tip toes to reach his Alpha's lips, and Scott secretly found it incredibly endearing. Most of the couples had pulled away, but Scott slid one hand down to Mitch's ass, the other resting on Mitch's upper back to keep them pressed close together. When Mitch pulled away from the kiss, he fell back onto flat feet. But Scott felt bad for almost missing their New Years kiss, so he pressed a firm kiss on Mitch's jaw line, before bending even more to kiss Mitch's neck. Mitch leaned into his touch, setting a hand on Scott's bicep. "Alph... Alpha. We're in public."
Scott didn't respond, just continued to attack Mitch's neck. They were officially the last couple still in an embrace, but as soon as Mitch opened his mouth to say something about it, Scott pulled away from him. Mitch grabbed Scott's hand and smiled. "I love you." "I love you more." Kevin pulled Todrick into a hug after he kissed him. "Here's to another year of sorting through our Pack's madness." "Here's to finding happiness in each other, even in the midst of absolute chaos." **********
