Emiliana's Point of View
"So what now, Emiliana? Are you going to the party or not?"
I sighed right after my bestfriend Lily asked me the same question all over again for the ninth time! This girl! She really has time convincing me going with her to the bar with her friends not minding our finals will be in a week from now!
Lily has the audacity coming here right after what happened when a man flirted with me in the pool party she hosted and in an instant, someone grabbed my hair and gave me a hard slap on my right cheek. That time, I was really traumatized. Geez!
"I told you, Lily, I'm busy!" I said before looking at my reviewers again.
Lily stomped her feet on the ground like a baby. She's been disturbing me the whole day now! Asking me if I could go with her to the party I never want to attend.
Parties gave me trauma. Right after Lily invited me to that pool party and fucking screwed up by the man's girlfriend, I never attended to parties whenever Lily wanted me to. A lot of people were shocked, and I was embarrassed that time. The girl literally slapped me hard and accused me of being his mistress.
For God's sake! I never knew he has a girlfriend, and I wasn't the one who approached him first! It was him! Flirting isn't really my thing. Well, that was just a casual talk. But it seems like the man took it seriously and assumed we're flirting.
"You are no fun!" she complained.
I rolled my eyes at my bestfriend. Funny how Lily is okay ignoring important things because she's rich. She has looks, money and is popular. She has the privilege while I don't have. Lily's status is far from mine. She came from an elite family while both my parents are dead.
I only work as a part timer during summer breaks and every weekend in order to survive and provide my brother's medications.
"Do you think grabbing someone's hair is fun?" I asked meaningfully. She chuckled a bit before clinging into my arms.
"Go with me, please, Emiliana?" She said cutely.
I harshly removed Lily's hands from my arms.
"No thanks,"
"C'mon! That thing won't happen again. I promise! It's Candice's birthday! She's our friend!" she defended.
I sighed before looking away. "Your friend," I corrected.
"Whatever! Please? I won't let anyone slap you again! Nor touch you!"
Lily is really persistent convincing me to go with her. I couldn't focus on my reviewers because of her nagging. When I looked at my brother, who's peacefully sleeping on our bed, I had no choice but to nod to make her shut her mouth completely.
Her eyes widened because of what I said. She even squealed, but I covered her mouth and pointed my fingers at my brother, who's sleeping soundly on his bed.
A playful smile crept on her lips.
"My brother is sleeping! Shut your mouth, Lily!" I warned.
She chuckled before apologizing cutely.
"Alright, then. Later eight! I'll pick you up!"
Before nodding, I snorted. I'm not exactly sure if I'd come. I only say those to make her shut her mouth.
"Fine, fine. Just let me review, Lily." I demanded.
After a few minutes, Lily went home at exactly five in the afternoon while my eyes remains on my brother. I can say he's pretty exhausted after the soccer practice they did yesterday.
He's been reviewing too, just like me, for their exams that will take place next week. Thankfully, my brother isn't a playboy like his friends. He's obedient and studies hard.
Despite of being an orphan, both of us still managed to work our ass off and send ourselves to school. I sighed heavily when hunger suddenly hit me. I stood up when my stomach cooed.
I was in the middle of cooking our food when Evan woke up.
"What time is it?" He asked lazily.
"Five. Almost six in the evening. Why?"
He groaned.
Living in a small apartment is enough for us. Our parents died when we were still kids back then, but still God guided us made everything up to this date.
Right after cooking our dinner, I immediately prepared the utensils on the table. Just like what I expected, my brother is still reviewing for their exams while eating.
"How's the soccer practice, Evan?" I asked casually, focusing on my food.
He shrugged his shoulder without looking at me. "Nothing special so far."
I arched my brow. "I'll sleepover at Lily's house later. We'll review together."
Of course, that was a lie. Evan knew Lily, but he didn't know what she's up to sometimes. I admit, Lily is a big help for us when it comes to financial problems. In exchange, I tutor her for free and do her assignments sometimes.
Well, my bestfriend is a spoiled brat. She's kind, yes, but often a brat.
"Okay,"
That was the last thing Evan, and I talked about. I was about to go to bed when my phone beeped. I received a text message from Lily she'll be here in twenty.
Funny how I still stood up and moved towards in the bathroom quickly. After bathing, I quickly went down and dried my self up when I heard Lily's car beeping outside, just wearing my usual pajamas and shirt.
Her eyebrows arched when she saw.
"Damn girl. It's a bar! Not pajama party!" She complained before rolling her eyes on me.
I quickly opened the door beside her. She was the one who's driving the car beside me. Lily cockily drive the car faster that made me snort for a moment.
"I feel like something terrible is going to happen again," I said.
Lily chuckled. "Chill, girl. I will assure you, there's none!"
"If someone laid a finger on me again, swear I'm gonna kill you."
Both of us chuckled because of what I've said. The party will start later at eight in the evening in a high-class bar located in New York town.
I was just quiet the whole drive while my friend Lily was talking nonstop. My eyes drifted on the view in front of me where Lily's condo was.
"Let's change your clothes first."
I know Lily would react because of what I wear, but I really don't give a damn. Pouting like a baby, I just follower her inside.
Clubs, parties, socializing aren't really my thing. The one and only friend I had is the opposite of me. I wonder why Lily and I clicked when, in fact, I often turned down her offers whenever she invites me to go with her to different parties that don't suit on my social status.
My eyes drifted on her tight navy green dress who's hugging her body tight. I couldn't deny Lily's figure. She's damn good. A popular lady indeed.
"Here, do you like this?" she asked, showing me red see through mini dress.
My eyes widened, "Oh my God! Of course not! I'm not wearing that thing!" I said hysterically. That made her chuckled.
"I'm just fooling around, stupid!" She joked. "How about this?"
All of Lily's clothes were all revealed. I couldn't even pick a nice and comfortable dress because all of those were all short and tight if you wore!
My cheeks blushed when I saw how the mini red of shoulder dress hugged my body absolutely. My boobs aren't that big but it became bigger because of it. The curves of my body became visible as well!
"It's kinda short, Lily..." I complained.
Her eyebrow shot up. "No, of course not! It suits you! It looks perfect!" She said with matching claps.
I shook my head because of disapproval.
"You're hot girl. You'd pass being a model! If I were a boy, I'd definitely f-ck you."
Sometimes, Lily couldn't stop her mouth from saying inappropriate things. She experienced making out and having s-x with many different men, but I haven't.
Few of her friends criticized me because of being a virgin. But for me? I don't give a fuck.
Lily didn't want me to choose another dress again. It's already 8:30 in the evening and we're running late from the party. The dress she wanted me to wear was a little uncomfortable for me.
When I already saw the bouncers outside the club, I felt nervous and at the same time excited.
Oh gosh. I'm so fucking hypocrite!
"I got you, Emiliana!" She said as she clings on my arms.
Red, blue, green, yellow and different lights from the inside welcomed me as the loud music lingers on my ears. It's just eight in the evening but a lot of people were enjoying the night already. Some are dancing, some were drinking and some were just chit-chating.
I followed Lily upstairs. It's just my first time here in a club, to be honest.
The club is really for sophisticated people like Lily. I look so ignorant, like how my eyes wander around! When Lily and I went upstairs, she pulled out a card something out of her own wallet. She let the bouncers see it and after a few seconds; they let us in.
My mouth was in an awe when we went upstairs. It was quiet and somehow full of people who really wanted to chill and drink compared to the first floor.
"Hey girls!" Lily said to a group of people wearing dresses like us.
"Look who's here. Hey there, Emiliana!" Amer greeted one of their friends. Definitely a gay.
I smiled as Amer kissed my cheeks. Oh well, I did the same too.
"You guys are late!" Cindy snorted.
Lily chuckled.
"You look good, Emiliana!" Olivia, from the group, complimented me.
I smiled shyly before sitting beside Lily. "Thank you,"
"Oh my God, girl. You're f-cking hot!"
All of us chuckled. I am not comfortable whenever people are complimenting me. Even me, when I saw myself in front of the mirror earlier, I couldn't recognize myself either right after Lily made me wore this and did some make over.
I examined the surroundings. Just like our seat, many sofas are everywhere too, and it's in different sizes and designs.
Lovely giggled when Olivia whispered her something. Both of them are giggling and observed what topic they were talking about, not until Lovely's eyes went to the table where a group of fine, hot, handsome men were there.
"Geez, they're hot!" Lovely uttered.
Lily's eyebrow arched as she noticed the men her friends were looking at.
"My gosh. Spare this night for Cindy, guys!" Lily said bluntly.
Olivia rolled her eyes. "It's not like I'm going to f-ck another man tonight!"
Their blunt words made me stunned. I shouldn't be shocked. Privileged people like them are used to these kinds of a topic while I am not. Well, Lily's mouth is straightforward as f-ck.
Who wouldn't like boys? Especially if they are good in bed?
"Do you want to drink, Emiliana?" Amer asked, smirking devilishly at me.
I smiled and shook my head. "I don't,"
"Oh, c'mon! You are no fun!" He complained before giving me the glass of whiskey.
Lily was about to protest when Cindy stopped her. "It's fine! We're here to party not to act like a virgin!" Cindy said, as if she's disgusted knowing I'm a virgin.
Lovely rolled her eyes. "You really should start hanging out with us, Emiliana! I mean, let's have fun all the time?" She smirked.
I winced when Lovely uttered those words. My eyes went on the shot glass gave me. I gulped, having a second thought if I'll drink it or not.
"She's not used to drinking, girls. Spare Emiliana!" Lily defended me.
Her friends rolled their eyes at me. I feel like at this table; I was an outcast. A lot of people at my our university treat me like an outcast. They'll just notice me if they need something. But because of Lily, some people befriend and noticing me and it includes her circle of friends.
My eyes remained on the shot glass Amer gave me. My throat felt dry as her friends starting rolling their eyes and throwing gossips about me being a killjoy and pathetic virgin. I saw how Lily's irritation flustered on her face.
To prevent them from expressing negative things about me, I drank the shot glass contains whiskey that Amer gave me straight and felt my throat hot as f-ck.
