It is windy in Atlanta this faithful eve. A little boy lays on his bed staring at the window wondering when things would get better. Kofi is the son of the mayor and in the eyes of the public, very privileged boy. Only if the media could be present to witness his current circumstance. He was diagnosed of a serious brain disorder and had less than 3 years to live. He was 12 when this happened. Currently 14 years, Kofi has decided to be very kind and generous to anyone at all.
Over the past few years, after knowing what would happen to him after three years, he decided to dedicate his entire life to giving to the less privileged and poor people.
"Hurry Kofi, we going to be late!!" Hilary calls out to Kofi.
Over the past few years after that faithful day, only Hilary, Kofi's mother, had shown him love and support. He felt rejection from his father and siblings although they tried to hide it.
"One sec Mom" Kofi shouted as he gets his boots on
.
*Vroom Vroom*
*Horn Horn*
Kofi finally makes it into the Benz after the horn was heard several times.
Looking at the view in the window,Kofi placed his hand on his chin as he knew he had less than a month before he turn 15, which was coincidentally when the deadline for him to die.
They made it all the way to a shelter where they donated gifts to the children in the orphanage. Kofi played around with them for a long time since, he was a child after all and he didn't have that luxury to spend time with his siblings despite all he had.
While they where driving by, Kofi saw a church by the side of the road and wondered deep down if perhaps he could get his salvation from there. Yet, he did not say a word to Hilary as she was not a believer in spirituality.
Like this, the week went by.
Monday morning, April 24,2024 , Kofi was watching the television when he chanced upon a pastor preaching. Usually, when something like this happens, he would curse under his breadth and change the channel. This time however, he felt like he was meant to listen to this sermon. The pastor spoke about "Faith" and how every christian can do anything as long as they have faith. This sermon got Kofi kind of hyped but didn't know if he should believe it. Perhaps he was feeling desperate, he decided to follow the pastors preaching on faith to get a better understanding.
"Faith is the substance of things hoped for" Kofi muttered beneath his breadth as he listen. At this moment, unknown to Kofi he had started to believe in the word the pastor was preaching.
One week went by like this. " I declare that Jesus is my Lord and personal savior....." Kofi declared boldly as he repeated after the pastor. Hilary of course saw all this but didn't take it to heart. She felt Kofi was just getting desperate knowing he had one week left to go.
"I cannot die", " I am strong" , "I am healed" Kofi's voice reverberated across the room as he declared into his life.
"What are you doing there son?" Hilary asked, pain seen in her eyes as she watched he last born go through this. "I am going to be fine mom" Kofi replied with an unusual smile plastered on his face. "Why do you seem so happy these past few days" Hilary asked, confused. "Mom, I gave my life to Jesus, the best decision I have ever made. And guess what, I would live forever!!. I would not die because I have good health. I am healed in Jesus name" Kofi said with a bright smile and a clear eyes as if he could see through everything.
*Cry *Cry Cry*
Tears flew down Hilary's eyes as she saw her son "comforting" himself. She didn't understand what was going on but she took it as Kofi finding a way to relieve his pain and worry.
"Don't worry mom, I would be fine. God has a plan for all of us, I am blessed because he has blessed me, hence I have everything that pertains to life and Godliness" .
Over the past few weeks listening to the pastor, Kofi had surprisingly grown so mature and no longer feared death. All he wanted was to worship God and hopefully, get his mom to believe before he passed away. For this, he begun to listen to the sermons all day with his mom by his side. Initially, Hilary just wanted to accompany Kofi for his less than a week time he had left, however, as she continued to listen to teachings of the word of God, she unknowingly started to enjoy listening to it.
*BOOM *BOOM *BOOM
Lighting rained down as the day was unusually very windy. Accompanied with heavy rain, the city of Atlanta was experiencing a heavy downpour this afternoon.
In a mansion in the Oliver's Estate, Kofi was in bed sleeping when he started praying to God in another tongue. This went on for a while, unknowingly, a smile started to curve on his lips. He entered a strange dream.
He saw an old man looking at him with a smile. Smiling back, Kofi approached the man and asked, "How are you doing sir?" . "Fine young sir, yourself?" the old man replied.
"Been better by Gods grace" Kofi said.
"Good Good Good kid" a mischievous smile crept on the old mans face."What do you know about Faith kid?"
"Erm, Faith is when you believe you have something without seeing it, I guess".
"Ohh!, is that all?" the old man smirked strangely.
"I guess we can also say faith is when we call for something to come and know we have it despite not seeing it" Kofi with a straight face replied.
"Well Kid, Faith goes a very long way than you think, to make thing easier for you, I would give you a gift that would stay with you forever, remember to meditate on it day and night after you are born" The old man tapped his finger on Kofi's Forehead and walked way slowly as he said this.
It may seem slow but in less than two seconds Kofi could not see him again despite the fact that he did not vanish.
*THUD *THUD
Kofi nearly had a breakdown after he digested what the man had told him.
"After I am born?, don't tell me...."

"You're mine, little puppy," Kylan growled against my neck. A soft gasp escaped my lips as his lips brushed my skin. My mind screamed at me to push him away-the Lycan Prince who had humiliated me again and again, but my body betrayed me, leaning into him before I could stop myself. He pressed his lips against mine, and his kiss grew more aggressive, more possessive as I felt my legs weaken. What was I doing? In a split-second, I pulled away and slapped him hard across the face. Kylan's eyes darkened, but the smirk on his lips exposed his amusement. "You and I both know we can't fight this, Violet," he said, gripping my wrist. "You're my mate." "And yet you don't want me," I replied. "You told me you were ashamed of me, that l'd never be your queen, that you'd never love me. So please, accept my rejection and let me go." "Never," he whispered, his grip tightening as he pulled me closer. "Soon enough, you'll be begging for me. and when you do-I'll use you as I see fit and then I'll reject you."

On the day she chose to peruse the club, she noticed three men, all dressed in suits, standing on the upper level, near the railing. Despite her limited vision, she persisted in fixating on them. Their towering statues belied the toned bodies concealed by their sharply tailored suits-or so she could tell. The hair of two of them was short and dark, and the third had light brown-possibly blond-hair that reached the shoulders. The dark, crimson background incised their figures, exuding an air of mystery and strength. They stood in stark contrast to the unfiltered, primal energy that pulsed through the club.
