"Let's get married when we grow up." A gust of summer wind tossed their hair, as if in response to the nine-year-old boy's words. He stared into the same irises of the girl before him, a girl with similar facial features.
"Um! Let's get married!" replied the girl with a cheerful smile. Her eyes sparkled brightly. The dandelions flew out into the air.
"Aw!" Margaret's reverie was broken when someone tapped her head with a notebook. Her eyes glanced irritably at the culprit sitting next to her.
"What's wrong?" she protested while stroking her head. "Are you studying or daydreaming? Your eyes aren't focused," a young man commented.
"Didn't you listen to my explanation?" She began to grumble like an old lady. Margaret's exasperated eye-rotation was rewarded.
"I accidentally recalled our old memories when I saw this photo," Margaret pointed at a small photo frame.
"It's a photo of us as children. So what?" guessed the young man named Morgan, blurting out.
"I just felt silly when you asked me to marry you. Haha!" A small laugh escaped Margaret's lips. But Morgan's expression was flat, looking at her meaningfully.
"What if that little boy meant what he said?" Morgan asked with a serious face. But Margaret did not realize that she was still laughing.
"Yes, we will walk down the aisle with our respective partners. But I'm not sure we'll get married together. One of us will definitely get married first," Margaret said. The most logical answer, but rest assured this was not what Morgan meant. Because her expression seemed a bit annoyed.
Morgan then turned to the window. "It's raining. You're not home yet, are you hungry?" He changed the subject.
"I'm hungry too. Do you want to make something?" Margaret asked.
"Yes. I'll make some food and you do the exercises, I'll check." Morgan got up from the chair. His departure was watched by Margaret's eyes who was secretly impressed by her brother's broad back.
Morgan's physical changes amazed Margaret. If her brother used to look cute with chubby cheeks, now his facial features changed as well as his voice became heavier, moreover his body grew taller faster.
Margaret felt that time had passed very quickly. Because when they were little, her brother was quite annoying, often teasing her. But now, her brother showed a mature side like a man. Morgan gave in more often, no, in fact they rarely fought over trivial things.
Margaret shook her head, trying to focus on the exercise book on the study table. Suddenly, the scent wafted seductively. Margaret turned her face to find Morgan walking in with a bowl.
"It smells so good. What are you making?" Margaret was getting hungry. The delicious aroma of the bowl almost made her drool. Then Morgan sat down beside her, stirring the instant noodles mixed with vegetables.
Margaret furrowed her brow, frowning slightly. "Why only make one? Where's mine?" Margaret protested.
"I made two instant noodles in one bowl to eat together, to save on dirty dishes," Morgan replied, stirring the noodles with a fork.
"Open your mouth." Morgan got ready with a roll of noodles on the fork. Then Margaret leaned forward to receive one.
"Umm delicious!" squealed Margaret happily. Her cheeks rounded as she praised the food. Morgan smiled sincerely and rubbed her head affectionately.
"Get on with your homework," Morgan said. Margaret had school homework that Morgan helped her with just because he was smart enough.
Every now and then Morgan would feed her sister who looked down focused on the book, while she stared at Margaret's face in silence for a while. There was only the sound of rain outside their bedroom window.
Morgan's attention lingered on Margaret's downcast face, even as she spooned food into her own mouth. Morgan tucked her sister's hair behind her ear. Her eyes seemed hypnotized.
When Margaret turned to her to ask for more food, they stared at each other. Morgan was still unmoved, while Margaret was silent in shock.
"Morgan?" said Margaret. She furrowed her brow in surprise that her sister was lost in thought.
It was only then that Morgan snapped out of it. She blinked calmly, not showing her surprise. "How did it go? Are we done?" asked Morgan.
"No, not yet. I want some more," Margaret said. Morgan understood, and fed the noodles back into her sister's eager mouth. She accidentally left a trail of food on the corner of Margaret's lips, causing Morgan to wipe it off with her thumb and eat it.
Margaret saw that rather surprised. "Ishh you should have used a tissue."
"I don't need a tissue if it's coming from you."
Margaret sighed, it was strange to hear her sister's story but she didn't bother to check the clock. "When are they coming home? They work overtime almost every day, I'm worried," Margaret worried, while it was already ten o'clock at night.
"Maybe they're on the road," Morgan said indifferently.
"After graduating from university, where will you work?"
"A company with a good salary and the possibility of promotion," Morgan replied.
"With your intelligence, it should be easy to get hired," Margaret said in a discouraged tone.
"You just need to do what you love, don't push yourself."
"How could I not, I need to have a good income when I grow up. There's no way I'm still asking my parents, let alone you, right? You'll be busy with your own life later on."
"Who said that? As long as you're not married to someone else, you're still my responsibility. I'll work harder to earn more money, not only for me but for you as well."
"Won't you be troubled later? How can you save up for marriage if a small portion of your salary is given to me?" Margaret asked critically.
Morgan smiled. "Who's bothered by their own sister? As for getting married, it won't happen with anyone else."
"So what, you don't plan to get married after you're successful?" said Margaret confused.
"Whether you get married or not depends on you." Morgan's words made the girl's expression wonder again.
"Oh I see, I have to get married before you. Is that what you mean?"
"I don't know, who knows about the future."

Margaret was brushing her teeth in the bathroom, when suddenly Morgan walked in without knocking. Margaret was startled and snorted in annoyance. She pulled out her teeth for a moment, and her forehead creased in preparation to speak.
"You should have knocked first! What if I'm naked! It's embarrassing!" she grumbled. But Morgan was tying Margaret's long hair from behind.
"Your own fault for not locking the door from the inside." Morgan replied casually, then grabbed Margaret's waist. She leaned over and whispered in her sister's ear.
"Haven't we seen each other before? Why be embarrassed?" Morgan's voice was low and deep, almost sounding sexy, while their eyes stared at each other in the large mirror of the sink.
Suddenly Margaret choked up with a blush. "When was the last time we were naked together huh? Ten years ago! We were kids," Margaret said showing her ten fingers.
"You're just surprised." Morgan straightened up again. She moved to Margaret's side.
"Next time lock the door, okay?" Morgan said softly, not wanting to prolong the matter. She then brushed her teeth quietly, though the sister beside her snorted sourly.
Just an excuse. Morgan knew that Margaret had gone into the bathroom. But she had no ill intentions towards her, other than wanting to go to the sink.
Then she washed her face until she finished, at the same time as Margaret coincidentally.
"Ah, Margaret, my towel is still being washed. Let me borrow yours," Morgan said, as the girl wiped her face with a small face towel.
"What if I refuse?" said Margaret.
"Come on... Look at my wet face."
"Yes."
Margaret finished first. She came out of the bathroom that was directly connected to their room. Margaret climbed onto the bed and lay down to sleep.
Suddenly the room lights went out, the switch was turned off by Morgan who had just come out. The man also returned to his bed opposite Margaret. It was a single bed.
"Margaret..." called Morgan.
"Hm?"
"I can't sleep..." The night was getting late, and the sound of rain had been replaced by drizzle. Morgan got up from her bed, taking two steps towards her sister's bed.
"I want to sleep with you." Without another word of approval, she lay down on Margaret's side.
"Duh big brother! My space is so tight..." whined Margaret who was facing the wall.
Morgan didn't answer, but she pulled Margaret's waist so that they were pressed together like stamps. Morgan hugged her tightly.
