Ha rin, Ha rin" she could hear her mum shouting her name from the sitting room and that wasn't what she wanted to hear at the moment. She was still feeling sleepy and wasn't ready to go to the shop, not yet.
"Why does she keep calling me?"she complained in her sleep as she rubbed her sleepy eyes and just about when her mum had stopped calling me and she was about to drift off the alarm clock just beside the bed started to ring, she jumped up immediately out of reflex and threw it at the door. The door did it's job by silencing the alarm clock.
"Don't tell me you're still sleeping this late in the morning?" Her mum asked as soon as she entered the room
"Oh come on mum, I just need an hour of sleep before I come down to help you at the restaurant" she answered as she covered herself with her cotton blanket.
"At this rate, this clock is going to be destroyed by you" she picked it up and went towards the window where she opened the curtains letting the once dark room brighten up .
"Isn't today the day for the interview?" Mrs choi Hee jin asked her as she folded her arm leaning on the wall watching her daughter on the bed.
"No mum, it's tomorrow" Ha rin answered with a yawn
"But your calendar says it's today" she was now looking at the calendar which was on Ha rin's reading table.
"Is it the 20th?" She asked and yawned again
"Of course it is. Get your ass up this instant or you would loose this opportunity" her mum scolded and at that moment it dawned on Ha rin that today was indeed the day of the interview. She immediately jumped up off the bed, picked up her glasses which she had placed on the night stand the night before. She put it on and immediately rushed into the bathroom.
"I'll go prepare breakfast for you" her mum said and left the room.
"Oh no, no,no. It's 7:30am already" she said as she looked at her phone to check the time and the interview was to start at 8:00am
She quickly started to brush her teeth and after that she took her bath and in no time she was ready.
Since today was the day of the interview she tried to look her best, she wore a white chiffon shirt which she tucked in her black Palazzo trouser and wore a black block heel.
She then sat on her stool facing her her vanity table, Ha rin stared at herself and smiled.
"You can do it" she encouraged herself. Ha rin wasn't the type who apply make up, she had tried it once back in highschool but was a laughing stock of the entire school. They would call her ugly because of she had freckles on her nose and wore glasses and would also say she's a weirdo because she was always alone. Everyone isolated her at school then and all she did was always go to the library where she read some textbooks to kill time until school was over. She was always alone and had no friends but the very once she had a friend she was betrayed and she vowed never to have one until she met Shin Mina in her third year in highschool.
Ha rin was a beautiful girl with a very smooth fair skin, blue eyes, long lashes, well shaped eye brows, a very long silky black hair . She also had a nice figure and average in height, she even had a nice smile. She was a really beautiful and attractive girl but after her high School she didn't think the same anymore and that was because of all the terrible things they had said to her. She thought of herself as an ugly nerd
She applied a face cream, a light pink lips gloss, packed her long black hair in a pony tail and lastly wore her glasses.
She then left the room and saw her mum placing some dishes on the table.
"I'm sorry mum but I'm running late. I can't join you" she said as she walked towards the door.
"Are you late already?" Her mum asked sadly.
"Yes, but I could just have a spoon of rice and soup" she said after she saw the sad look on her mum's face.
"I'll be happy if you did so" her mum said with a smile as she fed her the rice and soup herself.
"Good luck Ha rin" she wished her luck and watched her leave their house.
Ha rin walked downstairs and decided to follow the main door which was the one at the restaurant. They lived in a storey building which the first floor was their personal house and the ground floor was the restaurant. Her mum ran a restaurant where she sold Chicken and beer.
Ha rin ran as fast as she could to the bus stop where she took a bus.
