In high school, Thang Chi had only one online love interest. Her senior was innocent and kind-hearted, and Thang Chi completely fell for her gentle demeanor. The two dated online for a year, but before they could meet in person, they broke up due to family reasons and lost contact afterward. Nine years later, at the age of twenty-seven, Thang Chi was forced into a blind date arranged by her junior, only to discover that her date was the famous actress Qua Han. Although they enjoyed their conversation, Thang Chi only wished for a simple, tranquil life partner. After the date, Qua Han asked for Thang Chi's contact information, and after some hesitation, Thang Chi gave it to her. To her surprise, she found out that Qua Han had been using the same contact method to communicate with her ex-girlfriend for nine years. Before meeting Thang Chi, Qua Han had a petite girlfriend, outstanding in academics, and eloquent in speech, undoubtedly a highly educated woman of the future. They passionately loved each other for a while, but eventually broke up. Afterwards, Qua Han was busy with her career, but she couldn't let go of her feelings for her ex. Finally, when her ex-girlfriend returned to the country, Qua Han thought that this time she had to tightly hold onto her, unwilling to let go anymore. Online Rumor: "Famous actress Qua Han spent the night at a stranger's house!"

Chapter 1 1.

At the office correcting assignments, Thang Chi received a call from her former student. She had just graduated with a Ph.D. in Science and Technology from a university in the United States and had returned to her alma mater to become the youngest computer department head at An Dai University.

"Hello, Thang Chi."

"This weekend, you must come meet someone I want to introduce to you. You're 27 now and haven't been in a relationship for a while. Would it be embarrassing to remain single?" Thang Chi listened on the phone as her student began advising earnestly, fearing that Thang Chi might decline due to her busy schedule.

"Alright, I'll come." Thang Chi replied.

Previously, Thang Chi had a romantic affair with her student, Giang Ky, as a token of gratitude. In return, Giang Ky requested Thang Chi to meet someone she would introduce.

As the saying goes, it's a blind date.

"Alright then!" The voice on the other end suddenly raised a few degrees, cheering enthusiastically, "Let me tell you, the conditions of this blind date are extremely favorable. Although I can't disclose everything right now, just know that she perfectly matches your aesthetic preferences!"

Matches my aesthetic preferences? Thang Chi pondered for a moment.

Suddenly, a voice from many years ago flashed in her mind, amidst the early morning mist, the chirping birds, a voice both agile and ethereal.

Thang Chi had never had a clear concept of who she liked. If she had to, she would be extremely picky, preferring voices over appearances.

"Who is it? Is it someone with a very pleasant voice?" Hearing Thang Chi's silence, her student explained, "Her voice will definitely appeal to you. Perhaps after meeting, your major life event will be resolved directly. Don't forget to invite me for drinks to celebrate when that happens!"

Thang Chi couldn't help but laugh.

Where is this going?

At 27, Thang Chi had only been in love once. Despite being single for many years, it wasn't because she wasn't attractive. On the contrary, Thang Chi was exceptionally beautiful. Her willow-leaf eyebrows and phoenix-eyed gaze, her slightly pursed lips; even without makeup, she exuded an aura that captivated others.

From childhood to adulthood, countless suitors pursued Thang Chi, but she had never been moved.

Furthermore, Thang Chi relied not only on her beauty but also on her intelligence. In high school, she consistently ranked at the top of her class, eventually earning a scholarship to a prestigious university abroad. Today, she had returned to her alma mater to nurture the next generation of talents.

"Are you thinking too far ahead? You haven't even met the person yet." Thang Chi finished grading assignments and turned off her computer. "Even if you meet someone, it's not guaranteed that they'll pay attention to you."

"Come on, don't doubt yourself, sis. Aren't you the academic goddess in my eyes?" Her student retorted persistently. "Even if you're busy with work, try to make time. Don't shy away from socializing. Focus on finding topics to engage in. Don't resist! Try to immerse yourself in joy when meeting new people, got it?"

"Got it." Thang Chi replied.

Giang Ky was pleased with Thang Chi's responsive and sincere attitude. "My senior sister, let me tell you something straightforward, sometimes people need to look forward. Although you've let go, you always keep yourself closed off. Isn't that different from a plant without sunlight?"

"Yeah, I know. Your photosynthesis theory." Thang Chi replied.

Giang Ky, a biology student who enjoyed socializing, couldn't survive without bars and karaoke. According to her, isolating oneself at home was akin to a plant without sunlight, unable to undergo photosynthesis, absorb CO2, and convert it into nutrients, hindering social interaction and societal progress.

After Thang Chi agreed, Giang Ky didn't intend to bother her further. "Alright then, I won't say much more. My girlfriend is waiting for me to watch a movie. I've already sent you the time and place. Hang in there!"

"Thank you." Thang Chi chuckled softly. She hung up the phone, packed up her textbooks, and headed back to her apartment.

Her apartment at An Dai was not large, consisting of a single room spanning a hundred square meters, with two bedrooms and two living rooms. One of the bedrooms served as her study, with an entire wall turned into a bookshelf filled with books. Her home was tidy, with a white dining table adorned with a vase of roses adding a touch of life.

Thang Chi prepared herself a fruit salad, turned on her computer, and prepared to watch Qua Han's latest movie.

Qua Han, thirty-one years old this year, had been in the industry for nine years, winning all the domestic awards for actresses. Although she only starred in one film per year, each film received critical acclaim, with ratings of 9.0 or above.

High quality, large production, high standards.

Qua Han maintained a clean image in the entertainment industry, never involved in any scandals since her debut. Moreover, she was proactive in social welfare, often being the first in the entertainment industry to contribute to charitable causes. Regardless of sexual orientation, everyone knew that although Qua Han seemed cold, she was like a warm flame, radiating warmth to those around her. Even her rivals sometimes praised Qua Han as being perfect.

Thang Chi was a passing fan of Qua Han. She followed Qua Han's performances and occasionally purchased merchandise related to her but didn't pay much attention to Qua Han's life on social media.

She admired Qua Han not only for her unparalleled beauty but also for her unique voice, like water flowing smoothly in a stream, gentle yet mesmerizing. Plus, there was a sense of familiarity.

A bit reminiscent of a voice she hadn't forgotten in years.

Thang Chi pushed these chaotic thoughts out of her mind and focused on watching Qua Han's performance. She didn't care much about pursuing relationships; she admired Qua Han because of her unique voice, not her appearance. She preferred simplicity and didn't want to get entangled with someone like Qua Han.

So when Thang Chi saw Qua Han take off her sunglasses in the dining room, she was stunned.

It was autumn, and Qua Han wore a black coat, her long legs encased in flared jeans. Underneath, she wore a dark gray shirt.

She wore light makeup, her long black wavy hair cascading down. Her fair complexion accentuated her features. Her gaze was fixed on the menu, but when she lowered her sunglasses, her eyes were captivating, like peach blossoms bewitching people. She seemed to favor the red lipstick she wore, and it suited her perfectly. Even in simple attire, she exuded an air of regal elegance.

"Hello, I'm Qua Han. Nice to meet you." Qua Han didn't seem surprised by the awe in Thang Chi's eyes as she approached and extended her hand.

"Hello, I'm Thang Chi." Thang Chi quickly regained her composure, smiling and shaking hands with her.

Qua Han's hand was slightly larger than Thang Chi's, with smooth skin. Her fingernails were transparent, with sparkling stars adorning them.
