"Ugh!!! Stop it, Vaughn!! You're making me horny!!" I said seductively while Vaughn kissed my neck. I looked into the front mirror of the car we were riding in and saw Vaughn's wife staring back at me. Tears welled up in her eyes as she watched us. I smirked when our eyes met and moved even closer to Vaughn. I stroked his hair while he kissed my neck and squeezed my ample chest with one hand. I moaned louder to encourage him further. I wasn't disappointed as he started to remove his coat. When I glanced again at his wife sitting in the front, she was crying, covering her mouth to stifle her sobs. Our driver remained indifferent, as Vaughn had strictly forbidden him from interfering with our activities. Their job was all they should focus on if they didn't want to be punished or lose their employment. "Yes! That's right! Feel the pain deeply! Because it's not enough to atone for your sins against me! I'll make you experience hell until you end your own life! And I'll start with your beloved husband!" I thought, smiling as I watched Vaughn's wife cry. "This is just the beginning. We haven't even reached the exciting part yet!"
Chapter 1
It's Sunday, and I'm with Vaughn at church. He's beside me, with his worthless wife on his other side, and next to her are their parents. I'm at the far end of the pew, so the only person next to me is Vaughn on my left.
People are staring at us, but I don't care. They can look all they want. No one dares to make negative comments, especially about me, because everyone is afraid of the governor of this place, who happens to be sitting right next to me.
I noticed the dirty looks people were giving me, but I just raised my eyebrow, and they quickly looked away. I understand why they're angry. Who would be happy to see a well-known family complete at church but with a mistress in tow?
It's hard to believe, but yes, I made it possible, and I'm proud of it. Most mistresses are hidden by their partners, but me? I'm the mistress who goes to all important events with my partner. I even outshine the legitimate wife! There's not a day we're not together. I'm also present at significant political gatherings. No one dares to question our setup because they fear Vaughn, who is known for his harsh punishments.
The mass is starting, and everyone is focused. Even the priest avoids sermons about adultery when we attend. Everyone, including Vaughn's parents, is afraid of him, so we can do whatever we want.
"Hon, where do you want to eat?" he asked sweetly, kissing my forehead as we walked out of the church. I saw his wife roll her eyes, and I secretly smiled.
I propped my finger on my chin, pretending to think. I wanted to annoy his wife, so I chose her favorite restaurant where Vaughn and I could flirt, leaving her with unpleasant memories whenever she visited.
"Uhmm, I want to try the food at Dreams Gourmet, hon," I said sweetly to Vaughn, clinging to his arm. I saw Vaughn's wife glance back at us, and I smiled.
Katharina Perezville, the woman I despise and whose husband I stole. Well, she deserves it! She ruined my life, and now I'm just starting my revenge.
I was only 16 years old when my dad died because of that cursed woman! We were coming home from the mall because he bought me a new phone to replace my broken one. We were crossing the pedestrian lane to get to our car on the other side when a speeding car came straight at us. My dad pushed me out of the way, causing me to fall on the pavement.
I saw my dad get thrown in the middle of the road after being hit by the car. Despite the pain in my knees, I ran to my dad, who was unconscious and bleeding from the head. I saw the woman who hit my dad get out of her car, so I approached her immediately.
"Ms.! You hit my dad, you need to help him!" I pleaded, grabbing her arm to stop her from entering the mall.
She turned to me with disgust and shook my hand off her arm.
"What the- don't f*cking touch me, you sh*t!" she shouted angrily and quickly took out wet wipes from her bag to clean the arm I touched.
"But you hit my dad! We need to take him to the hospital!" I pleaded, glancing at my unconscious dad.
"Look, I'm in a hurry, so stop bothering me! Here! Get out of my way, damn it!" she yelled, throwing a thousand pesos at my face before rushing into the mall after a man.
I tearfully went to my dad, who was still unconscious. I saw a car approaching, so I stood in its path to make it stop.
"Hey kid! Are you trying to get yourself killed!?" an angry man shouted as he got out of the car.
"Please help my dad! Have mercy!" I cried, pointing to my dad lying on the road, bleeding.
The man quickly ran to my dad and carried him into his car. I followed, holding my dad's hand and crying as we drove to the hospital.
"What happened to your dad?!" the man asked frantically while driving quickly.
"He was hit by a car!" I sobbed, still holding my dad's hand.
"Where's the driver? Didn't they help you?!" he asked angrily, handing me a white handkerchief to wipe my tears.
"No, she didn't. I tried to chase her, but she just yelled at me," I said sadly, taking the handkerchief.
"What kind of person does that! She's at fault, yet she's angry!!" he said furiously, but I didn't respond as I started to feel the anger towards that woman..
We were nearing the hospital when my father regained consciousness. Even though he was weak, he tried to reach my face, so I quickly took his bloodied hand and pressed it against my cheek.
"M-my dear child, I-I love you," he said haltingly, as blood started to trickle from his mouth.
"S-shh Papa, we're almost at the hospital. Please don't talk anymore," I said, crying, and held his hand tightly against my face.
"I-I love you all," my father said with great difficulty, and his eyes slowly closed as his hand slid off my face.
"Kuya, please drive faster!" I shouted in a panic to the driver, who sped up and continued honking to clear the way.
"Fight, Papa! Don't leave us!" I cried as I hugged his body tightly, sobbing.
When we arrived at the hospital, he was immediately placed on a stretcher and taken to the emergency room. I tried to follow, but the nurses stopped me as the doctor began to check on him.
"No pulse, doc," I heard a nurse say. The doctor gave some instructions, and the nurse left, returning with two square devices resembling irons. They applied some gel and placed them on my father's chest. I saw his body jerk, and they repeated this several times until I heard the long, piercing sound from the machine attached to him.
"Time of death: 9:30 pm," I heard the doctor say, and I collapsed to the floor. The doctor approached, knelt in front of me, and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"I'm sorry, but your father was dead on arrival," he said sadly before standing up and leaving the emergency room.
My chest tightened as I sat on the floor, tears streaming down my face. I quickly got up and approached my father's lifeless body.
"Papa!!! Wake up, Papa!! Don't leave us and Mama!!" I screamed, shaking his body as I sobbed uncontrollably.
"Child!! My husband!!" I heard my mother's voice calling me, and I turned to see her rushing toward us, crying when she saw my father's lifeless body.
She embraced his body, repeatedly calling his name. My siblings were also there, crying on the side.
I rubbed my mother's back as she continued to wail over my father's loss. I, too, was at a loss for what to do, unable to believe that my father was truly gone.
We filed a case against that woman, whose name turned out to be Katharina Perezville. We also tried to request the CCTV footage from outside the mall on that night, but the mall management refused, claiming that their CCTV camera was broken at that time, so they had no footage to provide.
Due to the lack of evidence and witnesses, we lost in court, and our case was dismissed. My mother and I were very angry, but there was nothing we could do.
We knew that woman had paid off the mall management to hide the footage from us so we wouldn't have evidence to prove her guilt.
Since my father's death, we started to struggle financially. My father was a teacher, and my mother was a housewife, so we only relied on my father financially.
Their savings were running out, and I noticed changes in my mother. She became often lost in thought and irritable. She would frequently hurt my siblings even for small mistakes they made.
Eventually, it reached a point where she could no longer communicate properly and would often talk to herself. Sometimes, she didn't recognize us, would get angry at us for no reason, and would throw things at us.
One day, she almost stabbed me with a knife when I came home from school. I was washing dishes when she suddenly screamed behind me, accusing me of killing her husband. Luckily, I managed to dodge when she lunged at me with the knife.
After that incident, I sought help from government officials to get treatment for my mother because I knew her mind couldn't cope with my father's death, and she was nearly going insane.
I had to stop studying to work and provide food for my two siblings. They are both boys, and I am the eldest, so it is my responsibility to take care of them since no one else will.
At that time, the sibling next to me was only ten years old, and our youngest was just seven. I forged my age to apply for a job.
I got accepted at a call center due to my proficiency in English, which my father taught me. I worked at night, and in the morning, I stayed home while my siblings went to school.
At a young age, I had to act as a parent to my two younger siblings while my mother continued her treatment at the mental hospital, where she was taken by those I asked for help.
To Be Continued...
What the heck! This famous apartment doesn't have an elevator? They said the elevator is broken, like I care. My day was already bad, and now my move-in day is ruined too! Life is just so unfair. I immediately looked for my assigned room so I could start arranging my things. I found it quickly and slid my card before turning the handle. But as soon as I started opening the door, I smelled something burning. I realized it was coming from my new place. I hurriedly opened the door fully and looked around to see where the smell was coming from. A man in the kitchen cursed. I couldn't see his face because he was facing away, busy with something. My eyes landed on what he was doing. It was burning! I quickly dropped my suitcase and rushed over to him, covering my nose from the smoke. "W-what's happening here?" I asked in a panic, still covering my nose. He turned to look at me, also covering his nose. "Who are you?" He asked in confusion, but we both stepped back as the flames grew. "Fuck! Fuck*ng fire! I hate cooking with this!" he yelled angrily, fighting the fire. I looked around for something to extinguish the fire and quickly grabbed the fire extinguisher. I used it to put out the flames. The fire was out in no time. I smiled and smirked at the sight of his burnt eggs. Seriously, he couldn't even cook eggs! He gave me a dirty look, and I tried to hold back my laughter because of his appearance, covered in the fire extinguisher foam. "Funny?" "Is everything okay in there?" "Is anyone hurt?" "We're coming in." Voices from outside shouted. I watched as my companion went to the door and opened it. "No one was hurt, everything is fine, thank you," he said quickly before closing the door. He paused and looked at my suitcase. "Ah, that's mine," I said. "No one asked." He replied coldly, shoving his hands in his pockets and walking away. He entered a room and slammed the door. I grabbed a towel from my suitcase and started wiping my face from the extinguisher foam. I couldn't help but laugh at myself and at him. Deep down, I wanted to burst out laughing at his appearance, but still, he was kind of cool, especially with his aura. I turned around when I heard someone cough behind me. It was the guy from earlier. Yeah, maybe he's my roommate. He looked down, making me curious. I glanced down to see what he was looking at. Wait, what? He's looking at my br*ast? No, maybe I'm just imagining things. "You study at H.U?" Reality hit me when I realized he was looking at my ID. I assumed too much, Farah Joy. "Yes," I replied shortly and continued wiping my face as he walked over to the fridge. I put my towel back and turned to see him standing in front of me, drinking a beer. Does he have powers? He appeared out of nowhere! "You forgot to use 'sir' when addressing me, Lady Farah." Wait, how does he know my name? I haven't even told him! And why should I call him 'sir'? Who is he? "I saw your name on your ID, woman. Don't overthink it," he said seriously before finishing his drink. I was wrong again, Farah Joy! I wanted to slap myself. "Oh, haha... haha! Right!" I said awkwardly, scratching my head. "B-but why do I need to call you 'sir'? Who are you?" I asked boldly. He frowned and suddenly laughed. Gosh, his laugh drives me crazy! I snapped back to reality when he leaned close to my ear and whispered something that made my eyes widen and almost drop my p*nty. "Well, I'm Kevin Tran." I felt his soft lips on my ear, gently biting it. He stepped back and left. "K-Kevin T-Tran? The famous professor? Gosh, my crush!" I whispered as he walked away. What kind of apartment is this? I met my crushâI mean, the most famous professor I've ever known. Sir Kevin. I have a crush on him too!! Ghoddd!!
I am here standing in front of my boyfriend's apartment, carrying gifts and food. Today is our 4th anniversary. We started dating when I was in 12th grade and he was a freshman in college. Now, he has graduated, and I am a 4th-year nursing student. I start knocking, and after a while, the door opens. "Surprise, love!" I happily greet him, but I notice that he doesn't look happy. "Love? Are you okay?" I ask. "Yeah, come in," he says, so I walk in. I look around, and it's dark. There are no lights on. His anxiety and trauma must have returned; he was like this when his mom passed away. I set the food on the table. "Love, are you okay?" I ask again. "Yeah," he says as he sits on the sofa, rubbing his head. I approach him and sit beside him. "Do you want me to massage you?" I ask, reaching out to touch him, but he moves away. "I have to tell you something," he says. Suddenly, I feel nervous. Please, don't let it be something bad. "Let's go out tomorrow. I didnât get a gift for today," he says, and my anxiety is replaced with happiness. "Okay, love!" I say cheerfully. "For today, I want you to go home and rest. Let's meet tomorrow. I want to be alone," he says, which hurts my heart again. I stand up slowly. "O-okay, love," I say, and as I am about to leave, he suddenly hugs me from behind. "Happy anniversary, take care," he says and kisses my cheek before letting go. I smile and leave his apartment. Author's POV After his girlfriend leaves, his father suddenly calls. Before answering, he sighs deeply. [When is your flight?] "Monday," he coldly replies. [You better be ready. Remember what your mom said to you before she died.] "I remember that. You don't need to say it," he says in a very cold voice. [You're leaving for America on Monday, and you havenât told your girlfriend yet, right?] He doesn't respond because he knows his father disapproves of his girlfriend. [Spend your last day with her, because it will be her last time spending a day with you.] He doesn't say anything and ends the call. He knows he loves his girlfriend deeply, but he made a promise to his mother. âSon, I know you will become like me, a famous model and actress. You must become a famous model and actor, okay? Even though I know I won't live long, I know you will fulfill my wish. I want you to be known by everyone because I know I have lacked so much for you. Iâm sorry, son, because your mom got sick.â His mother had leukemia and passed away when he was only six years old. Now he wants to fulfill her wish. The only problem is his girlfriend, who is still in the Philippines. Carmella's POV I woke up early because I am so excited about today! We're going out, ahhh!! It's Sunday, so no classes,! I am happily waiting for my boyfriend outside the apartment I share with my sibling. I'm wearing a white dress that goes to my knees. Itâs a formal dress with short sleeves and a V-neck. I'm also wearing a silver necklace he gave me on our first anniversary. After a while, a car stops in front of me. I smile as he gets out and opens the door for me. I get in and fix myself, but I feel a bit nervous today for some reason, bwahaha. He is wearing a maroon turtleneck, a long black blazer, and black pants. Wow, he looks so handsome.
Three black cars were chasing a taxi. The taxi driver tried to speed up despite knowing it was dangerous. Other vehicles complained about their speed due to their sudden overtakes. However, the three black cars didnât care. Their only focus was the woman inside the taxi. âZIEYAH! STOP THAT FUCKING TAXI!!â shouted the man leading the two other black cars while firing his gun. His throat nearly burst from the intensity of his shouting. **Zieyah Nicole Luxqinneâs Point of View:** I bowed my head, covering my ears from the loud gunshots. H-he really wonât leave me alone! âMiss! This is too dangerous, we might get hurt! Letâs just stop!â pleaded the taxi driver, who was unwittingly dragged into this mess. âN-no, sir!! Heâll kill me if he catches me!! Itâll be the end for me if he catches me. Please, sir! Drive faster!â I stammered and begged, tears streaming down my face along with cold sweat from fear. My voice was nearly hoarse from the terror. My whole body trembled, and I couldnât explain the feeling coursing through my entire systemâfear. I was terrified of being caught by him. I could also sense the driverâs fear. After all, he got involved because of me! This is my fault! Moments later, we heard another gunshot, and this time, it hit some part of the taxi, causing it to swerve. âThey shot the tire!â shouted the driver, desperately trying to brake. The taxi spun around, and I clung tightly to the side of the car. The noise of the car tires skidding was deafening as the driver tried to bring the car to a halt.
"Good morning, Elle!" Eri greeted me promptly. "Morning," I mumbled shortly and sat in my chair. He really annoys me! Well, if you're asking who Iâm referring to, it's just my cold, ungentlemanly husband. Hmp, he's lucky I love him. Yes, I'm married and I have feelings for him, although itâs just an arranged marriage. "Ohh? What happened to you? Why do you look like the sky and earth fell on you? Did you have another fight with your husband? Haha," Cia teased and moved to the chair next to mine. I didn't bother to answer her goddamn question and just rolled my eyes instead. I looked at Xyra, who was busy on her phone. Sheâs probably stalking Kuya Axel again. "Hey, Elle!" I scowled as I remembered what my dear husband did againâ "ASTHERIELLE LOUISVILLE!!!" I jumped and snapped back to reality when Cia shouted my full name. I glared at her, but she just made a peace sign. "Are you trying to make me deaf, huh, woman?" I asked irritably, but she just rolled her eyes at me. "Weâve been calling you for a while, but it looks like youâre busy daydreaming," Eri said, moving closer to Xyra, who was still busy on her phone and smiling. I just pouted and said sorry. "Why are you spacing out? Is there a problem?" Cia asked. I just shook my head and nudged Xyra. "What?" she asked in confusion, seemingly unaware of what was happening around her. "Ouch! Damn," she complained when Cia smacked her on the head, glaring at her. They ended up chasing each other like children. Eri and I just shook our heads.
"Okay class! That's all for today! Goodbye," said our professor as he gathered his things. I quickly tidied up Jay's stuff. Yes, I know his nameâit's Jay. I put the tissue in his bag; he can throw it away later. He adjusted his pants. As soon as the professor left, our classmates stood up, and Jay quickly stood and pulled me outside. He seemed eager. Hahaha. He took me to the girls' restroom. Luckily, no one was inside, so we could enter freely. I pulled him into the farthest cubicle and quickly shut the door. He pinned me against the wall and kissed me hungrily. I returned his kiss, feeling his hand slowly glide up to my chest. "Hmp!" I moaned when he squeezed one of them. He moved quickly and urgently, so I broke away from his kiss. "Easy, babe. Relax!" I said, laughing as I stroked his arm to calm him down. He laughed at himself too. "I want you," he said huskily, lust and hunger visible in his eyes. I smiled at him and pulled his neck for another passionate kiss. His hands roamed my chest and butt. Our kiss was interrupted by my phone ringing. I pushed him away to see who was calling. It was Reign, my best friend and classmate. "What?" I answered. Jay continued kissing my neck, his hand still exploring. [Our fun time is interrupted. Another professor is coming in for our substitute class. Hurry up.] She hung up frantically. I frowned and pushed Jay to stop him from kissing me. "Next time. I still a class," I said before leaving him in there

He pressed his lips against mine, and his kiss grew more aggressive, more possessive as I felt my legs weaken. What was I doing? In a split-second, I pulled away and slapped him hard across the face. Kylan's eyes darkened, but the smirk on his lips exposed his amusement. "You and I both know we can't fight this, Violet," he said, gripping my wrist. "You're my mate." "And yet you don't want me," I replied. "You told me you were ashamed of me, that l'd never be your queen, that you'd never love me. So please, accept my rejection and let me go." "Never," he whispered, his grip tightening as he pulled me closer. "Soon enough, you'll be begging for me. and when you do-I'll use you as I see fit and then I'll reject you."
