Abigail held her test reports firmly, her eyes moist almost ready to tear out, she was pregnant, finally the shame has been wiped off her face, she won't have to lower her head in front of society.
The sharply sniffed, and her hands gently patted her flat stomach, her baby, her own flesh and blood will be out in a matter of right months, and her family would be complete.
In a rush of hurry, she fished out from her cell phone and quickly tapped on the familiar phone number, the line rang and rang but the receiver on the other end didn't pick up.
He must be busy, though Abigail, a little shadiness wrapped the side of her face but she quickly covered it up with a bright smile, this was good news and she couldn't allow the atmosphere to be ruined.
Walking out of the hospital, the glossy eyes of Abigail scanned everywhere, taking careful steps, first she must share this good news with her best friend, she thought hopeful there would be someone to share in her happiness. However strangely she didn't pick her calls too.
A frown ranged her brows.
Abigail's eyes drawn together, and she hailed a cab to platinum estate, her in-laws place. The luxurious glitter around her eyes, memories flash in front of her eyes, and the corner of her heart tugged with pain, the fresh memories tainted scars in her soul, but she had put up with all the pains that even the memories followed her around.
"What are you doing here?" She heard a cold voice blending with malicious at the edge of the tone and Abigail didn't have to turn around to know the power of the voice.
Slowly she curled her lips into a smile, her eyes hardened, her lashes fluttering but she managed to paint a beautiful smile adorning in on her face and she dragged in a sharp breath, veering around.
"Mother." Muttered Abigail, her voice below a whisper, hanging in the air bit it perfect teaches the woman's ear finely.
Coldly her eyelashes didn't bit for a second, the middle-aged woman gaze at the girl, her compelling eyes forced Abigail to swallow hard and she was about parting her lips to voice again but the woman beat her to it.
"What are you doing here, Abi?" She casually strolled to the sofa taking her sat only to continue raising the anxious about feeling which built up in Abigail. "I forbid you from setting your foot here, so why are your trying my patience."
Clutching on her dress Abigail hardly mouthed, her heart shattering into thousand of pieces. "Mother I'm just coming back from the hospital and I'm pre-"
A harsh sound resonate, and instantly Abigail covered her eyes squeezing her eyes shut, fear fiddling from her. Her breath picked it pace and her breathing turned raged as she slowly opened her eyes.
Shred of glass pieces covered the floor in a horribly way, the sight stuck pain in Abigail's eyes.
"How many times have I told you not to come here!!!!!" the woman yelled, her chest puffing hight with rage that she was ready to tear Abigail into shreds.
Frightened Abigail took shaken steps back wards, her eyes shone in horror and she darted her eyes to the woman, and she saw blood flowing from her hands.
"Your hands..... "
"Get out before I do something to my son's little wife." Clear hatred envisioned her eyes with bloodshed humming from her, that even in this moment she didn't care about her reputation only the hatred she felt towards this girl.
Her eyes lashes trembled, tears covering her vision and once more she took another step back and she eventually ran out from the house, her tears running aggressively.
Reaching the gates, she held onto her chest, her breath harsh and unstable until she collapsed to the ground, she broke out in loud sobbing swallowing her voice.
Her trembling body shook violently, and she reached to cover her mouth. She didn't have the courage to face her mother-law and she loathed the fact that she was nothing less than a coward, the only name she bared was Mezel's little wife because she was absolutely useless to their eyes, a wake foolish woman.
You won't ever learn your lesson would you, the voice taunted her just like everyone else. She felt the surrounding air turning suffocating and her eyes slowly turned red, she gasp hardly and she struggled to reach for her bag, and she immediately opened the medicine bottle throwing a few medications in her mouth.
She swallowed forcefully, the bitter taste sank on her taste buds, and she sat at the entrance of the gate looking miserable.
Abigail sat on the bed in their room, staring blankly on the red lipstick mark on her husband shirt and she turns her head to the direction of the bathroom door that clicked open.
Mezel give a sweet look to her, a towel wrapped on his waist while ruffling his hair with another one walking to we're she was seated and suddenly paused, his sweet appearance threatened to drop on seeing his shirt in her possession.
He approached her cautiously, narrowing down his gaze at her and before he could speak he heard her, Abigail's eyes finding his.
"Isn't this a lip stick paint, and I don't have such bright color of lip stick." She give a calm look, expectantly waiting for his reply.
Mazel roughly snatched the shirt from her hands, and he looked at the stained spot and with the same calmness he spoke looking at it strangely.
"Is this lip stick, I don't think so, it's probably some paint that stained it, today I visited the factory and it was been painted maybe so got on it." he covered the truth perfectly while watch the woman like an hark.
Her face turned unreadable, and she titled her head, "Is it, I'm sure it's lip stick." She paused locking her gaze with the shirt and she quickly said again. "Mmm maybe it's paint."
Mazel blinked, and his smile enlarged and he throw the shirt on the sofa and he immediately keened before her.
"Are you alright, since you came back you have been spacing out, did you visit my mother again." And Abigail shook her and he signed taking her hands in his. "I told you no to see her, when she wants to accept you, she will in her own time."
"But it's been three years now since we got married and she doesn't see me as her daughter-in-law, and her hatred as only grown till now, when will she accept me." hurt fill her voice.
"I don't care if she accepts you or not Abigail, the fave she has to understand is that we are married and I love you, other peoples opinion shouldn't matter in our relationship." He played with her fingers, not seeing the reason why she was being stressed out over pointless matters.
"Have you taken your medications?" Abigail shook her head and Mazel stood up going to the drawer close to the bed and he mindless spoke. "Here you are worrying about my mother when you should worry about your health instead." he took a glass of water and sat beside her.
Abigail took the drugs from him, swallowing them and she asked, "When will I stop taking them? Something I feel dizzy and other times unable to eat."
Her husband has being feeding her this drugs for the past six months and she didn't have a clue what the drug did and she has being taking it without a question but today she was curious.
"This will help you manage your anxiety honey, after taking it don't you feel relax?"
"Yes I do."
"See it's helping you relax your mind and body and in no time you will get over your anxiety." Mazel patted her head and he said. "No can I have my sweet wife." a shy smile painted her beautiful face.
Mazel tailed his fingers down to her exposed cleavage, and the tiny red lingerie that covered her shape from his lustful gaze, the only thing he adorn about her was her body, and it drive him to the edge of madness over and over again that he could never get over her.
He pulled the strap on her shoulders and he kissed her delicate skin gently inhaling her rose scent which engraved his mind.
Abigail was yet to tell him that she was pregnant and she wasn't ready to tell him yet because she wanted to keep it as a surprise gift on their wedding anniversary. She was in her early stage of pregnancy and having sex could be dangerous right now.
Mazel turned crazy with lust and he impatiently ripped the material covering her body. Panic struck Abigail made an attempt to stop him and he saw that clearly and it irked him further and gritted his teeth.
He growled. "What Abi." he kissed his kiss, his kisses turning abusive in accordance in his movements. His focus pinned on the woman who was half naked and all he wanted right now was to drive his length inside her feeling her warmness.
Abigail tried pushing his head away from her neck and and with one swift move Mazel had her back pressed against the bed, his eyes brewing in hunger.
"I'm tired." she coyly spoke, he head titled to the side daring not trapping her eyes with his.
He thought that maybe he miss heard her words and scoffed, his eyes hardened. "I can't even have my wife after a tiring long day?" he pushed his weight off, picking the towel to wrap around his waste.
"What's the use of you then?" his words sewn pain into her heart and she bite her lips, lowering her head.
Mazel felt the heat of irritation in his veins and he coldly pushed past her into the closet, the least he wanted to do was to force himself on her. He didn't want her to see the ugliness under his facade.
The room hovered in silence, and Abigail draw the covers over her body, after few minutes she found Mazel coming out well dressed and he had his suitcase with him, she immediately flanked up, terror entertained her body.
Was he leaving her?
"Maz.... El"
He quickly cut her off, "I though of leaving tomorrow but you have successfully reined my mood, my company is going on a little business trip and I'm the representative."
"I'm sorry.... " she sounded like a hurt puppy in distress, watching her husband walk over to the bed, he placed a kiss on her head and Abigail took the chance to seize his hand.
Her tiny fingers curled around his wrist and her hush some voice dripped out trapping in the walls. "Don't go, it's so late where are you going to spent the night? Just leave in morning I promise not to disturb you."
Hearing her, it only raised the anger he felt and he yanked hid hand off hers that she gaze at him with fright directed towards him.
"You still don't get it do you?" he rolled his eyes at the stupid woman, there was nothing she understood, he couldn't remember why he married her.
Mazel took his suitcase walking strolling out the room and Abigail picked her pace, the covers falling from her body as she ran to the man and the lights fell on her skin, only to reveal the blemish and hit marks tainted on her skin which he inflicted on her.
