"Our decision is made.Congratulations! You will be Mr. Brian Wayne's Bride for rent." From the life of a downtown girl, to living like a billionaire gorgeous e bride, Roxanne Song (a.k.a Rocky!) Is hired to be Billionaire mogul's bride for rent. Left with the chore of fending for her family, she takes the deal. In Spite of the harsh, unruly treatment she receives from him, her resilience remains. Her fiery spirit is not burnt out , and in due time, she will learn to tame the wild, most feared man on the planet and teach him how to love. But what happens when his first love returns and crisis arise that threaten the stability of her long term plan? Would their love survive the turmoils? Or will it crumble?
The sun seemed to smile down on Roxanne Song (a.k.a Rocky) that morning, as she dressed up to the sound of her favorite Music playing on her phone. It was seven AM and she was ready to slip out of the house before Suzie or her boyfriend woke up.
It had been three months since she moved to the city and this was the third time she had decided to apply for a job. Her needless spending and shopping addiction had gotten the best of her the last two times.
"If she isn't going to contribute to the bills, then she should not be living here. We are not even married yet, and here we are housing a freeloader." she had overheard Zayn, Suzie's boyfriend complain one time.
She drew on her cat style eye liner, which enhanced her already pinned up Chinese eyes, blew out her wet black hair and threw on her bag pack.
In order to help Rocky get a job easily, Suzie had applied on her behalf, since the Care facility she had applied to before had not yet gotten back to her.
Suzie had claimed it was a surprise. Although, it was no surprise to Roxanne that Zayn did not like having her around, especially when she could only contribute so little.
Before leaving, Rocky reached out and picked up the address Suzie had handed to her the night before.
Rocky sneaked out of the house and got on her BMX bicycle. The venue of the interview was at the York Film House on Fifth Avenue.
"Film house?" Rocky thought to herself as she got off her bike. Alot of luxurious cars were parked outside and the sun hit the tall elegant building beautifully, making it outstanding.
The hallway was filled with lots of beautiful and colourfully dressed girls. Some of them even more elegantly dressed than the occasion required, or so Rocky thought.
The girls were all cliqued up, which, to Roxanne made It look like a society for high class mean girls. With their Barbie doll designer wears and legally blonde hair styles.
Meanwhile, she had only ever shopped at thrift stores.
In the succession of time, each girl walked out of the interview room with a look of disappointment on their faces. Some with an air of cockiness, others with a devil may care attitude. By the time she got called, there were just three others left after her.
Rocky walked into the room, fully dressed in the red, floral off shoulder dress she had luxuriously gifted herself the last time she went off on a shopping spree that eventually left her broke.
The panelists were two women; One of them was a Russian model woman in her forties, and the second was a much younger, American, pregnant lady with high cheek bones and pretty eyes.
They both stared surprisingly at Roxanne's simple dress, and murmured between themselves.
"What do you think?" The younger lady murmured to the older one.
"She's pretty. I like the simple feel and the hair is good. Nothing money can't fix up." The older woman replied in a plain Russian accent.
"Do you think Mr. Wayne would like her?" The younger woman asked.
"Nobody really knows what Mr. Wayne likes, but she is a pretty girl. Let's ask her some questions first. Don't forget, we need someone modest enough to hand over to him." The Russian model replied.
Roxanne continued to watch the conversation pass between them with curious eyes. They both turned to her at the same time and the Russian lady cleared her throat.
"Please tell us your name."
"My name is Roxanne Song, a.k.a, Rocky. I am from the country side and..."
"Okay. Step forward, let us have your documents." The woman said, stopping her.
Roxanne nodded and nervously pushed the document into the woman's hands.
After going through her documents, a contemplating look hovered over their faces.
They resumed murmuring between themselves.
"Why did you choose this role?" The American lady asked her through squinted eyes.
Roxanne was confused because she had completely forgotten to ask Suzie what the role was about. She swallowed hard and cracked her thoughts for an appropriate response.
"I... I chose the role because these days it is really hard to find a modest job that doesn't require working at a bar or a nightclub and, I desperately need the money. My mother is sick and my family is really poor and they are all depending on me to raise the money for her treatment."
"Not that it will happen so easily! But, I'm willing to work for it." She said with an assuring smile.
The two women stared at her with wide eyes and a tear even escaped the eyes of the American lady.
"Wow!" She sniffled and blew into a tissue.
The Russian woman passed her a disappointed look and turned back to Roxanne.
"The job you are taking on is a very tactical one. It would require the best of your acting skills, and getting into character. You would have to forget completely about where you came from or the life you had once lived."
"This role would require a precise amount of professionalism. Are you up for that?" The Russian woman asked.
The seriousness of the matter made it difficult for Roxanne to say otherwise.
"Yes, sure! Of course, I am ready for anything. That was the reason I applied for this job." Rocky replied enthusiastically.
"What do you think?" The Russian lady asked the blonde haired lady, who had by now gotten a hold of herself.
She stared at Rocky sternly, even though she had already decided she was a perfect fit. She was a country kid, different and definitely bore a moderate personality.
"I think she would be a good fit. Besides, Mr. Wayne needs a woman at his office as soon as possible. We have fifteen minutes to get her there and we already rejected the rest."
The Russian lady took one last glance at Roxanne and made her decision.
"Fine, our decision is made.Congratulations! You will be Mr. Brian Wayne's Bride for rent. You will be expected to meet with him to finalize the contract details."
Rocky's eyes widened at her words.
"I'm sorry. What?" She asked in shock, but the women were not listening to her. They were murmuring between themselves.
Roxanne's ears continued to ring. A bride for rent? This was maximum decadence!
She immediately realized that Suzie had set her up, this was their plan to get rid of her.
"There has to be a mistake somewhere..."
"Oh! I forgot. You will get paid a monthly stipend of ten million dollars into your account, with dress fittings, health insurance and basically everything you need to survive in life will be already taken care of. All you need to do is sign the contract with Mr. Brian Wayne." The Russian lady continued.
"I'm sorry for cutting you short. What were you saying?"
"You're a creepy bastard." His eyes smolder me and his answering grin is nothing short of beautiful. Deadly. "Yet you hunger for me. Tell me, this appetite of yours, does it always tend toward 'creepy bastards'?" **** Widower and ex-boss to the Mafia, Zefiro Della Rocca, has an unhealthy fixation on the woman nextdoor. It began as a coincidence, growing into mere curiosity, and soon, it was an itch he couldn't ignore, like a quick fix of crack for an addict. He didn't know her name, but he knew every inch of her skin, how it flushed when she climaxed, her favourite novel and that every night she contemplated suicide. He didn't want to care, despising his rapt fascination of the woman. She was in love with her abusive husband. She was married, bound by a contract to the Bratva's hitman. She was off-limits. But when Zefiro wanted something, it was with an intensity that bordered on madness. He obsessed, possessed, owned. There'd be bloodshed if he touched her, but the sight of blood always did fascinate him. * When Susanna flees from her husband, she stumbles right into the arms of her devilishly handsome neighbour with a brooding glare. He couldn't stand her, but she needed him, if she was ever going to escape her husband who now wanted her dead. Better the devil you know than the angel you don't. She should have recalled that before hopping into Zefiro's car and letting him whisk her away to Italy. Maybe then, she wouldn't have started an affair with him. He was the only man who touched her right, and the crazy man took no small pains in ensuring he would be the last.
