Chapter 1
Amidst the chaos and uncertainty of the world, it is important to pause and reflect on the essence of manhood. A man, in all his glory, is a complex being shaped by the events that unfold beyond his control. He gives tirelessly, sacrificing his own well-being for the sake of others, only to face the harsh realities of life at the end of the day.
Man, the pinnacle of creation, stands as a testament to the ingenuity, resilience, and boundless potential of the human spirit. From the dawn of civilization to the present day, man has continuously strived to push the boundaries of knowledge, creativity, and innovation.
The man is the pillar of his community, the one who selflessly serves and protects those he holds dear. He may sometimes compromise his principles in the face of adversity, but deep down, integrity is ingrained in his soul. He strives to cultivate the best of everything within his means, living by a code of honor that guides his actions.
In every corner of the world, man has left an indelible mark through his art, science, philosophy, and technology. From the ancient wonders of the world to the modern marvels of engineering, man's ability to dream, create, and achieve knows no bounds.
Man may exhibit dualities in his character, oscillating between simplicity and complexity, courage and vulnerability. He bears the weight of his emotions, often keeping them hidden within himself or sharing them with his loved ones. Despite the challenges he faces, he remains a beacon of selflessness, always putting the welfare of others above his own.
Man's capacity for empathy, compassion, and love has inspired countless acts of kindness, generosity, and selflessness. Through his capacity for understanding the connection, man has built communities, forged relationships, and fostered a sense of belonging that transcends borders and differences.
Man's quest for knowledge and understanding has led to remarkable advancements in every field of human endeavour. From the exploration of outer space to the depths of the ocean, man's insatiable curiosity drives him to seek answers to the most profound questions about the universe and his place within it.
Despite the challenges and adversities that man faces, he continues to persevere with courage, determination, and resilience. Through his ability to adapt, evolve, and overcome obstacles, man demonstrates the power of the human spirit to triumph over adversity and emerge stronger and more resilient than before.
The character of man is a universal enigma, a puzzle that defies easy categorization. Each man is a unique blend of strengths and weaknesses, shaped by his experiences and knowledge. When empowered with the right information and training, a man becomes a force to be reckoned with, breaking down barriers and serving as a bridge between worlds.
In every aspect of his existence, man embodies the essence of what it means to be human - to dream, to create, to love, to learn, and to grow. As we pay tribute to man, let us celebrate his remarkable achievements, honor his enduring legacy, and strive to emulate his example of courage, compassion, and creativity in our own lives.
As we pay tribute to man let us remember the resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit that define manhood. In a world filled with uncertainties, it is the essence of man that shines through, guiding us towards a
brighter tomorrow.
Yes! We all know all life is structured with defined growth processes from birth; baby, infant, adolescence and adult.
The first 3 stages is a protègè under the tutelage of his parents. At the fourth stage accepting early adulthood where the potential graduate is on mentorship on how to steer his course of life.
Check developments in every fabric of life at all levels from unicellular to multicellular beings, life gives freedom and above independence.
When one views the lives of protozoans such as amoeba, euglena, etc, even the plant kingdom and the other groups of the mammalians there is an exercise of freedom.
Surprising, it is a different story with humans, as each wants to depend on masters, mentors , mediators etc forever.
Forgetting we are whole, complete and fully equipped to traverse. The moment you exercise your God given intelligence outside the presumed norm, you are marked as a back-slider or disobedient. There are some sects who presume, it must be as the master says it, or quote certain texts and uphold the tenets or scriptures, then you are under a certain spell of the devil.
We were told Masters were way showers. That means The way is in the layers of our being, putting all deviations aside, comes the masters to point a little here and little there so that we can walk boldly on our sturdy limbs.
Everybody is afraid of mistakes, yet how can there be transformation without venturing.
Let's build ourselves to at least understand this little earth not to talk of the world with kingdoms and principalities we are yet blind to and yet to understand.
Therefore , there is a way that seems right...
The way seemingly lit but clad in doubt,
sometimes with perversion and hopelessness. Many times, by our failing we are led to covens where a man exchanges his light for darkness, leading to perpetual confusion.
Other times, man chooses sordid and evil communes as enjoyment. It looks sweet and attractive, but a nectre of lust. Man will be blind to glory and where he will be cut off. Man will deny himself freedom, rather to where he is bound.
He calls righteousness evil, and evil righteousness.
He lacks discrimination and dissimulation.
Only simulating non-existent contents
For eternal bondage
Alas......But the end of his choosing is death.
When a man starts qualifying his experiences either low or high by gradient, he is looking for trouble. That is when such words good or bad start being part of his diction.
All experiences are qualifying tests and for our redemption.
The problem is that we name our favourable experiences as good and unfavourable ones as bad. When something shows up as negative it's a sign for us to learn. As long as it shows up, it has reached the end and it will disappear. Before then you must have had some dreams, nudges, or signs that you gloss over as common. However, when it arrives and you put your attention on the negativity it multiplies.
In everything we call a problem there is the solution within it. However, don't look at it as to fight it, love it without attachment. The simple reason is that energy flows to where there is attention.
Our sage, the experienced way shower, once said, "I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also." Matt 6:59
Darkness will surely come, it precedes dawn. Sickness comes when your body is reorganising itself. It either breaks you or remakes a higher evolution of yourself. Evaluate your last escapades or your healthy living journey. Your actions and your thoughts. The result is here, and you can't fight the result.
Remember, exams do come as a test of faith. The allegorical story of the man called Job after his harrowed experiences came to his senses and said "I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.""Job 42:5-6.
Realising with understanding to surrender what seems like a problem is giving it up it to higher power. What you have to do at this point is to be attentive and listen from within for nudges or for intuitive messages that will pop up. Work on it without any simulation or dissimulation.
To stretch this further, let's be aware that in every bed of rose, there are thorns to contend with the picket fingers. Life is full of beauty, at the same time it scatters thorns all around for us to traverse. So life gives you beauty when you pay the price, the most common is the use of your intuition in appreciation. Have a good relationship with your higher self.
Weighing and balancing your actions, words and deeds.
No way is smooth to ride on but with briars and barbs, to learn the lessons from the roughages along the way.
Always pay attention to your steps while you glance your sides, up and down. Life requires focused attention and awareness all the time rather than on anything external.
I am held bound by the wonderful experience my Ground Mother,Madam Iyono Ajogo bequeathed to me. A sound life nurtured by the way of nature. She is pragmatic, bold and down -to-earth. Instead of pampering as other grannies do. She was frank enough to tell me to always go with her to the farm to drink the down dew, as we were sneaking through the wet ears of grass by the farm paths at dawn. She was telling me, ‘Fande’ , the derogatory pronoun of Friday. I loved that sound as it echoes through all the fabrics of my being. All my marrow resound the tone like thunder claps. She always say “Land has a language, listen to understand.” "Child," she said, "the land is a living, breathing entity. It has a rhythm, a heartbeat that we must learn to listen to and respect." Claws Of Time, is a simple narrative, from one of her various pre occupations, farming. She was a trader, a herbalist and she has indulged so many women in her clime. The tribe she cultivated. She was highly honoured and respected in the community. Through my granny, I was always full headed for every task. I began to see in the farm the interconnectedness of all things, how every creature and plant was inextricably linked, each one relying on the others for survival. She brightened my horizon of viewing things on a new pedestals. "This is a dung beetle," she said, holding it cupped in her palm. Making me see value in all things. She said,"It plays a crucial role in the health of our soil, breaking down organic matter and returning nutrients to the earth." This is my story of growing up under a firm granny, ain't I not lucky? She was a star. May her rest be blessed. Thank you, Mother Iyono Ajogo. © El-yadirf Adokauhil.
