CHANCED TO LOVE

Cool beautiful fountain jetted softly over the rounded stones, the water pooling, crystal clear, over polished granite and radiant sun sparkles reflect over the glasses of the windscreen as a limo pulled over at El touche' mall , one of the biggest and most expensive mall in New York.

Charlotte stepped out of the car and left everyone in awe. Is she a princess, a goddess or a fairy?What an astonishing beauty!

Charlotte walked into the mall and dove straight into the most expensive section. "Ma'am that's the most expensive section" a staff retorted Charlotte look at her pitifully and ignored sharply. "What a brat" she thought. Charlotte got indulged picking the most expensive and skimpy dresses you could even imagine.

No trace of moral or value showed on her face but an extravagant and wealth polished being; she portrayed.

After hours of criticism and disdain, she ended up finding a perfect dress to the party she was not invited to. She walk to the counter with aura and pride. She threw the cloth on the desk and retorted " How much is this? Time is not your pal ".

The cashier trying to be polite told her it was quite expensive and it's a limited edition. She looked at her with anger and brought out her father's platinum card, paid and left the counter with no word said. Dashing through the walkway to the Exit she saw an astonishing handsome guy, sleek, fit and tall she thought .

Immediately she waved the thought bye and said " No! Don't think . Don't feel love. It's all a lie " . Walking through the dashing sun that radiated her pulchritude and aura she smiled and waved to almost everyone staring at her before she got in her black radiant limousine.

"She must have been a princess then" Gate as beautiful and dazing as the sunrise , fountain seems never to stop sparkling, the building looking like a castle seeming to have enough space for a hundred person to live in. The limousine drove in and Charlotte walked in with maids dashing, trembling and bowing as she hastily walked in .

She went straight to her room waiting for a maid to bring in her new collections. Is she an orphan? Guess not, A woman as beautiful as a queen dashed in her room and asked Charlotte where she had been for the past one week. The brat looked at her mother surprisingly

" I'm not a kid anymore, I can take good care of myself " she said. Just in time, a maid walked in and announced to Mrs Gray that dinner is ready. What a relief for Charlotte she walked and paced around her large room wondering, was he a prince, why did he look so confident, he must be an athlete, why does he look so good and appeasing, why did she stare at him, is he trying to come at me too or is he a spy.

These thoughts sprout in her head as she picture him once again. She kept this thought and joy to herself only not to be noticed by anyone. *Knock on the door*, who's there? she uttered. The maid replied saying Mr. Gray her father seeks for her right away.

The thought flew past her mind as if she never thought of it. Composing herself with a touch of trembling she walked to her father's library hoping she's not in any kind of trouble. She walked in straight in to the library bowing at her Father Mr. Gray Anthony, the richest and most feared man in the whole of New York.

She greeted and ask why he called for her. With a soothing sweet baritone voice he asked where she had been for these past few days. Charlotte stood there with no words uttered as she usually do seems she fears and respects her father so much. Her father knowing her extravagant and uncontrollable she is just told her not to get herself in trouble and be careful.

Charlotte who was at the brink of death by fear became full of life as she heard her father's advice knowing she wasn't scolded. Charlotte father stood and told her that he has gotten her a personal chauffeur and body guard because she can't keep moving around with his own chauffeur.

Charlotte happy about her freedom at last was excited but shew no trace of excitement on her face. As her father called for her attention to introduce her to her chauffeur the guy she obviously didn't notice as she was entering , she turned and was surprised. Is this a dream or am I hallucinating she thought. Her handsome good-looking chauffeur stretched out his hand and said " Nice meeting you ma'am , I'm Davids Smith your personal chauffeur and bodyguard". Charlotte still shocked by the coincidence and left in awe by the news turned to get a grasp of her breath as she was almost swept away by the shock. She thought why him.Charlotte left for her room hastily, bumped into her bed and took a moment of tranquil and refreshment. She looked at the cloth she bought and wonder why she bought. Charlotte thought was once again interrupted by her mother who called her down for dinner.

Hunger struck her belly as she hurried into the bathroom to freshen up and get dressed for dinner. Charlotte who has almost forgotten her encounter in her father's library got a glimpse of it while bathing. She felt in her heart as though she was struck by a lightning but got hold of herself, stepped out of the bathroom and dressed up for dinner. Trying to lighten up her mood, Charlotte play her favorite music which calm her down and help her think.

She thought again why did her heart skip a beat when she saw that guy at the mall today. It can't be love she wondered. I've given up on love!! So why now. Back in college, Charlotte was the most respected and honored student due to her level of intelligence coupled with her father's fame and wealth. She was loved by all those who loved her genuinely and those who wanted favors from her, both teachers and students.

Charlotte fell in love with a guy who is one class ahead of her it was her first and it was beautiful. She became the talk of the school and party. Charlotte and Damian did almost everything together. Damian was from an average family but Charlotte loved him. What's the twist ? Why did Charlotte become an anti-fan of love?
