CHAPTER ONE.
XAVIER WILLIAMS
The classroom was alive with noise-chatter filled the air, ranging from relevant discussions to completely irrelevant gossip. Laughter echoed, some genuine, some forced, but all of it loud and relentless. In the middle of this chaos, a sudden loud bang silenced every voice, and all eyes turned to the source of the sound. A junior student stood there, clutching a pen and a piece of paper, his nervous gaze sweeping across the room. He had succeeded in getting their attention, but now under their scrutinizing stares, he was sweating profusely, his fear evident.
The assistant class president fixed her gaze on him, her tone sharp. "Did you come here just to stare at your seniors?" she asked.
"N... No," he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Then did a cat cut your tongue, or are you just going to stand there like an idiot?" she mocked, drawing chuckles from the class.
"No, senior... actually, Mrs. Morgan requested your presence in her office," he managed to say, his head bowed in respect.
"Mrs. Morgan?" she repeated, her brow arching in curiosity. "Do you know why she sent for me?"
"No, senior," he replied quickly, still looking down.
"Then GET OUT!" she yelled, her voice ringing through the room. The junior didn't need to be told twice; he turned on his heels and bolted from the classroom as fast as he could. She watched him go, then turned back to the class with a smirk. "Be right back, cuties," she winked before striding out, leaving the room to fall back into its previous state of chaos.
***
Mrs. Morgan sat at her desk, her fingers flying across the keyboard as she typed up some documents. The knock at the door barely registered in her mind.
"Come in," she called out, not pausing in her work. She knew who it was.
"Good morning, Mrs. Morgan," Manu greeted as she entered, bowing slightly.
"Morning, Manu," Mrs. Morgan replied, her eyes still glued to the screen. The room fell into silence, broken only by the rhythmic tapping of the keyboard.
"U... Umm, Mrs. Morgan?" Manu's voice broke the silence, her patience wearing thin. She was clearly getting irritated by being ignored.
"Yes, Manu?" Mrs. Morgan responded without looking up.
"You sent for me," Manu stated, trying to keep her frustration in check.
"Yes, I did. I need you to take the new student to your class," Mrs. Morgan said, her tone calm.
"What new student?" Manu asked, glancing around the office.
"The one standing opposite you," Mrs. Morgan replied, finally pausing to look at her.
Manu looked around again, confusion knitting her brow. "But there's no one else here. It's just the two of us."
"No one?" Mrs. Morgan repeated, looking towards the spot she had assumed the student was. Realization dawned on her face as she facepalmed, feeling foolish. "Show yourself," she said, exasperated. Manu watched, her eyebrow raised. Was the principal losing it?
Suddenly, something materialized in front of her, and she let out a scream, her heart pounding in her chest. Without even glancing at what had appeared, she turned and ran as fast as her legs could carry her, not stopping until she was far from the office.
"Why did you do that?" Mrs. Morgan asked, already returning to her typing.
"Do what?" the figure asked, not looking up from his phone.
"Scare her away," Mrs. Morgan clarified.
"I didn't do anything," he said casually. "Appearing and disappearing is just how I live. If she got scared, that's her problem, not mine." He slid his phone into his pocket and took a few slow steps toward the door.
"Where are you going?" Mrs. Morgan asked, finally looking up.
"To class, obviously," he replied, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
"But how will you get there?" She stopped typing and leaned back in her chair.
"You're really getting on my nerves, Morgan!" he snapped, his calm demeanor suddenly gone. "Why are you bombarding me with questions? I'm here to study, not for an interrogation. If you want to know something, use your head or just shut up!" His voice was cold and sharp.
"I'm sorry," Mrs. Morgan said softly, lowering her gaze.
He twisted the door handle and walked out without another word. As the door clicked shut behind him, Mrs. Morgan suddenly stood up, her thoughts racing. "Wait a minute... what if he uses his powers again?" she muttered to herself. "I'm coming!" she yelled, rushing out after him.

"Mrs. Morgan is on her way!" a student whispered urgently, and the room quickly fell silent as everyone hurried to their seats. Mrs. Morgan walked in, her gaze sweeping over the class.
"Good morning, Mrs. Morgan!" they all chorused.
"Good morning, everyone," she replied with a nod. "I'm sure you're all wondering why I'm here. We have a new student joining us today." She turned toward the door. "Come in," she called out.
Isa, who had been pretending to read a novel, felt the sudden rush of wind that accompanied the new student's entrance. It wasn't just a normal breeze; it felt like a gust strong enough to take the breath right out of her lungs. She gasped, laying her head down on the desk as she struggled to breathe. After a moment, the air pressure normalized, and she could finally inhale deeply again.
Xavier stepped into the room, standing tall beside Mrs. Morgan.
~Wow
~He's so handsome
~He's hot
~What's with those green eyes?
~Are those lenses?
~Why the mask?
The murmurs spread quickly through the class, and Isa, still trying to recover, muttered under her breath, "He's wearing a mask... and those green eyes..."
"Please introduce yourself," Mrs. Morgan said with a polite smile.
Xavier's gaze swept across the room before he spoke. "My name is Xavier Williams. That's all you need to know." His voice was low, with a cold edge to it. "And one more thing-I'm not here to make friends. I value my privacy, so stay out of my way if you know what's good for you."
~Rude!
~His voice is so deep...
~Did he just threaten the whole class?
~Who does he think he is?
~He's got some nerve...
~But strictness suits him...
The room buzzed with whispered comments, some admiring, others clearly offended. Isa, now fully awake, thought to herself, *He's rude,* but before she could dwell on it, her eyelids grew heavy again, the earlier gust of wind having drained her energy.
"I'll take my leave now," Mrs. Morgan said, turning to Xavier. "But before I go, you should find a seat. Feel free to choose any."
With that, she left the classroom, leaving Xavier to his own devices. He scanned the room, which had fallen silent again, and walked toward the back where he had spotted an empty seat. It was near the window, away from prying eyes-just the way he liked it. He stopped in front of the desk next to the empty seat and noticed a girl with her head down, clearly asleep.
He didn't pay her any more attention than necessary, sliding into the seat beside her. As he did, the murmurs started up again, but he ignored them, his focus elsewhere.
***
The math teacher's voice droned on as he wrote equations on the board. "From equation one, we have y = 2/4 + X," he explained, but Xavier wasn't paying attention. The class was excruciatingly dull. *The fact that I'm here to learn what I already know is ridiculous,* he thought, feeling his frustration grow. *I need to get out of here.*
Without another thought, he snapped his book shut and vanished from the classroom, leaving no trace behind.
A few moments later, Isa stirred, still half-asleep. She pouted her lips, lost in a dream when suddenly-BANG! The sound of something hitting her desk jolted her awake. She jumped, grabbing her novel in panic.
"I dare you to come closer! I swear on my dad, I'll kill you!" she blurted out, still disoriented. The class erupted in laughter, and Isa's face burned with embarrassment. She slowly lowered the book, realizing all eyes were on her.
"Can you explain why you're sleeping in my class?!" the teacher barked, glaring at her.
Isa's gaze dropped to the floor, her cheeks flushing with shame. She stared at the tiles, wishing they would open up and swallow her whole.
"The wolf doesn't know what it's lost until the moon refuses to guide it." Damien's rejection burned into Elena's soul, but it also ignited a fire she didn't know she had. "I Logan Lee Parker, Alpha of the Silver river pack........reject you, Elena Almeria Knight. You're not worthy to be my wife" Logan's deep baritone declares. Everyone present gasp in disbelief, some laughs with scornful gazes and smirks. Elena felt her whole world coming to an end, now she really wished the floor would open and take her in. Her chest constricted and her heart shattered to pieces. Was she dreaming? It can't be true? She thought to herself staring deeply at Logan. She had waited for this day, only to be rejected. 'Logan, why?' she mindlinked him as her eyes blurred with tears. But instead, he stared at her with an emotionless gaze. With no ounce of remorse or any type of guilt in his eyes. Just when she thought there was a flicker of remorse or pity in his eyes and her heart leaped a little in hope, he looked away. Darting his gaze behind Elena, she was forced to look back, to know what got his attention. Her eyes widened in shock as her once fated mate declare and chose her cousin as his mate. Lisa glared at her and her lips tilted into a victory smirk. Everything came running in her mind in a blur, she didn't want to believe it. The rejection, the pain, it was hurting and Logan didn't seem to care at all. He cheated on her and she forgave him and still, he chose her cousin and broke their bond.
