Beatrice Jones is now a college graduate and returns home after studying so many years in the states in order to witness the marriage of her sister. Little did she know that it was all a lie and she was the one getting married. Not just to anyone, but the feared ruthless billionaire who was rumored to have no heart. Beatrice feels betrayed by her parents but she had no option than to marry the billionaire. Do you think she stands a chance with the billionaire or they would live a loveless marriage?
The London fresh air swept through my face as I walked out of the airport and a wide smile spread through my face. There was no other exciting feeling than returning home.
Five years out of the country and it looked like ages to me. I saw a chauffeur standing next to a car and he had my name written on a card and I guessed that might be my ride.
I waved my hands at him and he smiled back at me. He collected my luggages and tucked them at the booth of the car.
As I got into the car, I plugged my ear pods listening to music as I was unaware of the whole ride home.
I felt someone tap me and I opened my eyes. I was finally back. I alighted the car and looked around the place. This was the only home I remember.
"Beatrice" I heard my sister's voice as she ran out of the house and enveloped me in a hug and I wrapped my hands at her back.
"I've missed you so much" She squealed and I smiled.
"Me too" I said.
She removed herself from me and held my hand dragging me inside, "We have a lot to catch up on, let's go inside. "
I couldn't protest because she was already dragging me inside. I saw Mum in the living room and the moment she saw me, her eyes widened and she opened her arms.
I wrapped my hands around her snuggling my face in her neck while she stroked my hair.
"It's been so long baby " She said and I nodded against her.
After staying like that for minutes, I finally pulled away and I looked around.
"Where's Dad" I said and I noticed a slight change in her expression but she changed it back into a smile within minutes.
"Your Dad went to work but he'll be back by evening and we are having a family dinner this night so you can shower and take some rest" Mum said and before I could answer, Rebecca interrupted.
"That's not gonna happen because she has to make up for all the time she missed" And then she was already pulling me upstairs.
As I got to my room, it was just like nothing changed. Everything I kept before going were in the same spot except for my luggage's which was at the side of the room.
"So what's the news that you were so eager to tell me " I said rolling my eyes and then she raised her right hand in my face.
And I caught sight of a diamond ring in her middle finger. It was so gorgeous and it fitted her perfectly.
"Oh my gosh! It's beautiful Becca" I said shortening her name.
"I know and I wanted to show you in person and not over the phone" She said and I hugged her again.
"I hope he's not a jerk cause if he ever break your heart I'm going to kick his balls" I said and she chuckled.
We ended up diverting into different topic and we didn't notice it has gone dark already until a maid knocked on the door.
"The dinner is ready" She said and left almost immediately.
"I'll leave you to shower and get dressed so we won't waste Mom's time" She said and left my room.
I took a quick shower and wore a pink floral dress and put on my flip flops before exiting the room.
As I approached the dinning room, I heard talking but it was all in hushed voices cause I couldn't make out what they were saying.
I made myself known and they all stopped talking and it made me furrow my brows slightly. Was there something they were hiding from me.
"Oh Honey you're here" I heard a hoarse voice and I took in my father's appearance. He had aged a bit since the last time I saw him.
"Hi Dad" I greeted before sitting down beside him.
"You're welcome back Honey" I smiled slightly.
In the next minute, the maids were already serving dinner and when they were done, they left.
I dished my food and began eating failing to notice the glance everyone was giving each other.
When I had almost finished my meal, Dad cleared his throat and I looked up.
"Is anything wrong Dad" I asked and he shook his head.

"What the hell are you saying? You told me you were getting married in a month and that I was going to be your maid of honor, you even showed me your engagement ring so how are you not getting married"
"Was it called off?"I asked but she shook her head.
"Yes I am engaged but I am not getting married just not yet"
"Then why did you make a fuss about it and made me come back home. Did you miss me that much" I asked.
"That's okay Rebecca. Beatrice there's a reason why we wanted you back home and it's not because Rebecca is getting married"
"Then what is it because I can clearly see all of you were just lying to my face and now I don't think everything is okay" I said and my father exhaled.
"You're getting married in a month" My father dropped the bombshell and my eyes almost popped out of it's socket.
"What?"
"You're getting married Beatrice, we've already planned everything out and we just need you to agree....." As my father talked it just looked to me that he was babbling.
Like who the hell arranges marriage for someone without the person's consent and she doesn't even know the person she's talking to.
"This got to be a joke. Mum are you also in on this. That I am getting married" I didn't know that I was yelling at my parents but I didn't care.
Like they just made an absurd decision of how the rest of my life would be cause that's how it totally seems to me.
"So what's it gonna be. Your husband is rich and he promised to take good care of you Honey. You have my word, I won't let any harm come to you in any way" And I slammed my hands on the table loudly and Rebecca flinched.
"This is all rubbish. I'm not getting married to whoever you think and just so you know I am returning back to the states tomorrow. I can't bear all this from you all" I said and left the dinning heading to my room but my father's next words made me stop.
"Then get prepared to be disowned by me"

Elodie took a deep breath and knocked, the sound echoing in the quiet corridor. A moment of silence passed, broken only by the pounding of her heart. 'What are you doing here?' he demanded. 'Your girlfriend invited me,' Elodie replied, her voice laced with icy calm. She tried to peer past him, but his broad frame blocked the view.
