Shattered by a devastating heartbreak and the near loss of a loved one, Jennifer Andrea makes a desperate choice-signing a contract marriage with a faceless stranger. But what seems like an escape soon becomes a deadly trap when she discovers her new husband's chilling link to the man who destroyed her. Caught in a ruthless game of power and deception, she's left questioning-was she chosen as the prize, or is she just another pawn in a dangerous scheme?
"He'd love this" , Jennifer's eye's sparkled as she stared at the bouquet of flowers she had just gotten for her boyfriend, Damian.
She had been away for a few weeks on a business trip with her colleague and was supposed to return after a few days but everything got sorted out early. She was excited to see the surprise on his face, he told her last night on how they couldn't spend their fifth year anniversary due to her travel.
The thought of surprising him made her blush, she wanted to feel his warm hugs and touch once more. Her heart began to skip a bit , she felt like a teenager again.
As she relaxed into her car headed for his office, she tuned into her favorite radio Playlist channel. Just as she gets lost into the the music and her daydreams, the DJ's voice cut through.
"And there we have it people, Actress and Model Bella Ross ties the knot with millionaire Business man, Damian Thomas."
Jennifer's heart stopped. Which Damian? Hers? Married? The words kept echoing in her head refusing to understand. It felt like someone had just punched her in the guts , her eyes began to well up tears.
It had to be a joke. She stretched to get her phone not noticing the approaching truck until it begins horning.
Was this her end? She could hear the sound of the ambulance , distant murmuring from passerby and medics.
Her life had just crashed in a blink of an eye ,he was the only man she had ever loved, they dated privately for 5 years from college and he engages another. Was it a crime to love that hard?
She wanted to live , she couldn't leave her younger sister here in this cruel world. Erica was her only blood related family.

Jennifer's eyes flustered open as she noticed her current environment- the hospital. She could still feel a slight headache from the accident.
"You shouldn't try move too quickly, we were lucky your accident was just minor. We've stitched up your wounds so you'll be OK." The doctor replied with a warm smile.
Jennifer's eyes widened as the doctors words sank in , she was alive and well.
"Maybe try resting up a bit, you must reduce the stress. That's what's adviceable for you and the baby"
Jennifer's heart stopped. Baby? What baby?
"Baby?" She responded, unable to comprehend what the doctor had just said.
The doctor stared at her in amazement, "you're three weeks pregnant Miss, congratulations ", he smiled.
Jennifer's mind began to wander, pregnant? She didn't have any idea. This news brought in mixed emotions, everything seemed to be happening so fast. She just wanted to go home and cry her eyes out.
She felt disappointed in herself, she beared the child of a man who abandoned and blocked her from reaching him. She didn't want her child to face what she went through being an orphan.
Her mother had dumped her at the orphanage at the age of four with her little sister and never came back. Tears began to roll down her cheeks as she picks up her bag and phone and headed out of the hospital.
She turned on her phone and noticed her phone was put on the Do Not Disturb mode then switched it off. Notifications began to pop up, she's surprised by the amount of missed calls she had gotten from her sister, Erica.
She proceeded to call back, "hey, sis" Jennifer said, her voice a bit shaky.
"Where are you Jen? You flight should have arrived hours ago." Erica lamented with a bit of worry in her voice. "...and why haven't you been picking up your calls, did you forget what today was?"
Jennifer hits her head, it totally crossed her mind. She had promised to show up for Erica's art exhibition in school, she stared at the clock just in the middle of the hospital hallway, it was already 5pm. How long had she been here?
"I'm so sorry Erica, where are you currently? I'll come over and get you" Jennifer responded as she walked out of the hospital.
"Nevermind, I'll board a taxi back home now" Erica replied before ending the call.
Jennifer felt guilty, she had not just stood her sister up once again. She actually wanted to be there for her as Erica never invited her for any event because she was never available. She had personally asked Erica if she could attend in order to bond well with her sister.
She boarded a taxi and headed back home. Some few minutes later Erica barged in, Jennifer tried to apologize but Erica cuts her in.
"You always do this Jen" she yelled, her voice filled with frustration. "You never have time for me, it's always one excuse or the other. Just when I decide to give you a chance to redeem yourself, you go ahead and do this again".
Jennifer listened ntensively to her sister, her anger was justified. "I'm sorry Erica, you see I was in an accident and lost track of time"
"Rightt, the misfortunes always happen whenever you're supposed to be with me" Erica interrupts. "I already made dinner before hand, have yours and don't wait for me, I'm heading out after I take a shower."
Erica's placed her purse furiously on the table before heading to the shower.
"I'll make it up to you" Jennifer cried out to her sister who had just barged into the bathroom. Just then, Erica's purse falls off as Jennifer tries to place her phone on the table.
Her eyes stumbles on an invite, being curious on what it was, she pulled it out and read it through. "The Thomas mansion...waitstaff invite", why was her sister taking up a waitress job? She made a promise to herself years ago that she was going to take total responsibility on her sister, making sure she didn't lack anything, the same way she was trained and taking care of by her Godfather. She never wanted the thought of not having parents cross her sister's mind.
The Thomas mansion, the sound of it ignited fire in her, without hesitating she snatched the invitation and puts it in her bag and makes her way out the door. She was going to confront Damian tonight at his wedding party.
