The Kingdom of Elendor stretched far and wide, its skies painted blue and gold, its rivers winding like silver threads through emerald valleys. In this land, royalty was respected, and the birth of an heir was always cause for grand celebration. But none had ever been celebrated like the birth of Princess Elara.

The night she was born, the sky burned with a rare celestial event - a thousand stars aligned to form what the wise men called "The Crown of Light." The whole kingdom believed this was a sign. Even her father, King Aldric, who rarely placed faith in omens, looked at his newborn daughter's face and felt a strange sense of fate pulling at his heart.

Elara was unlike any other child. As she grew from infant to toddler, her eyes shone with a brightness that seemed too deep for her age. At two years old, she could already speak in complete sentences. At four, she could read and write in both the common tongue and the ancient script used only by scholars and royal advisors.

Yet what struck everyone most wasn't just her intelligence or her beauty, but her curiosity. While most royal children were content to play with dolls or chase each other around the palace grounds, Elara would sit beneath the tallest window in the grand hall, gazing at the sky for hours.

"Why do the stars move but the moon stays still?" she asked one evening, her voice soft but certain.

The royal tutor, Master Emric, could only smile at her. "That, Your Highness, is a question for the gods."

But Elara wasn't satisfied with such answers. The world, it seemed, was bigger than the palace, bigger than the kingdom - bigger even than the sky - and she wanted to understand it all.
