I was the beloved wife of the Lord of the Underworld for two lifetimes.

When Danny Stevens, the daughter of the Reincarnation King, returned from her travels, Roderick quickly had an affair with her.

Every few days, Damien would go to the Nether Spring to soak and repair her soul. It was a routine unbroken for three hundred years.

Recently, she finally regained her sight. She was overjoyed and rushed home to share the good news with Roderick, only to witness Roderick and Danny having sex on the bed.

Damien's husband, who vowed to love only her, was passionately kissing Danny and seemed to want to merge her into his very being.

She walked with her cane towards the room.

Roderick hurried out of the room.

His clothes were disheveled. He was adjusting them as he walked.

"Damien, you're back." Roderick said with concern as he walked up to her and gently supported her. "You really shouldn't go out alone, as you can't see anything."

Damien replied calmly, "I'm used to it. It's no trouble for me."

As Roderick helped her into the room, Damien suddenly halted.

"What's wrong?" Roderick asked gently.

"I just tripped," Damien answered. She was lying while digging her nails into her palm.

Danny sat on the bed, and her face flushed as she adjusted her undergarments. Her enchanting eyes were fixed on Roderick.

"You are so careless. Only I can take good care of you," Roderick said, helping Damien to a seat at the table.

At the same time, he exchanged glances with Danny.

Though Damien had known everything and was determined to leave, it was like a dagger piercing his heart to see it with her own eyes.

"The twin lotus will bloom beautifully again in a few days. I'll take you to the pond to see them," Roderick said.

Damien couldn't understand how he could say those words to her. She forced a smile and said, "Not necessary. I can't see them anyway..."

It wasn't that she couldn't see them. She simply didn't want to anymore.

She loved the twin lotus because she hoped she and Roderick could be together forever like the twin lotus.

But Roderick had another woman. It was pointless for her to have the twin lotus.

Roderick didn't take Damien's words seriously because Danny was quietly leaving the room with her clothes.

She gestured towards a nearby chamber before getting out of the door.

Roderick's attention was entirely on her.

He nodded and then turned back to Damien. "Ah... what did you just say?"

"Nothing," Damien replied flatly.

She didn't want to explain anymore.

"I think you're tired. Have a good rest for a while. I have some work to attend to and will be back later." With that, Roderick left the room.

Damien watched as he eagerly followed Danny into that chamber.

She held back the tears that threatened to fall.

She murmured to herself, "Roderick, there's only one month left. After that, you won't have to pretend to love me anymore."
