Because of a serious car accident, Bob Turner, who used to be a young successful businessman, has to spend his life in wheel chair. So desperate and hopeless, Bob refused to have an operation on his injured legs in attempt to avoid the smallest possibility of failure. At the time, his family hired Emma Carter to look after him and persuade him to see a doctor. Emma, who is poor but very positive, feels so sad when seeing the arrogant man sink into deep despair so she tries all means to cheer him up.
