Charlotte's ex-boyfriend not only cheated on her, but he also sent her to another man's bed. Such betrayal threw her into a kind of hell, nobody knew existed. Oliver, the man she was forced to sleep with, was her destined enemy even before fate brought them together. She tried everything she could to run away, only to be caught and even locked up by the same monster who only took her as another player in his love games. Little did he know, that day by day, he would become addicted to her and want more from her. Not only her presence but also her love.
It was late at night.
A bolt of fierce lightning flashed and lit up the whole sky.
The storm that had been brewing for the last 24 hours had finally ripped open the skies and a torrential rain lashed down, forming the backdrop for Charlotte Shao's curses.
"You bastard!
I hope you have a torturous death!"
"Remember, the name is Oliver Shen!" said the man in front of her arrogantly.
"Oliver Shen!"
Charlotte Shao was stunned momentarily. His name kept flashing in her mind like a siren. She took an oath to destroy his life.
At the police station...
The two policemen on duty were idly chatting with each other.
The door opened with a click.
They looked in the direction of the door and saw a young girl walking in shakily. She looked as delicate as a porcelain doll, but her hair and clothes were messed up as if she had been in a scuffle.
The two policemen exchanged a look with each other. Before they could inquire why she was there, she announced,
"I want to report a crime!" Charlotte Shao sat down with a frown crumpling her perfect features. Although the police station was not too far, she felt like she had walked for eternity. It was all that man's fault!
After giving her statement, Charlotte Shao collapsed on the chair. The policeman looked at her and shook his head in pity. "Do you know the man's name?" he asked.
Charlotte Shao's face darkened. The policeman had dealt with many such cases, so he comforted her. "Miss, these are necessary procedures. Please forgive me..." he explained gently.
Charlotte Shao closed her eyes and gritted her teeth. "Oliver Shen," she hissed.
The policeman almost choked. He looked at her in disbelief. "What? Say that again. What's his name?"
Another policeman, who was passing by, commented, "Miss, everything you say here will be counted as evidence in the future. Please be honest."
"It's Oliver Shen. I'll never forget that name all my life," she blurted out angrily. There was no possibility that she got it wrong.
The two policemen looked at each other incredulously.
"Go and make a phone call to corroborate!" another policeman snapped hastily.
If it was indeed Oliver Shen against whom she was filing the complaint, then there would be big trouble. Oliver Shen was the head of the Shen Group, the largest conglomerate in the country. His connections on both sides of the law made him omnipotent. How could this woman dare to provoke him?
"File the case. I'm going to sue him!" Charlotte Shao persisted, scowling at the policeman.
Seeing that the policeman didn't say anything, she criticized him. "Sir, it's said that police are there to serve the people. Are you going to file my case? Or..."
The policeman immediately replied, "Miss, we are trying to verify your story."
With a sharp nod, Charlotte Shen turned around, walked to the sofa and sat down. "Okay, I'll wait."

It began as a coincidence, growing into mere curiosity, and soon, it was an itch he couldn't ignore, like a quick fix of crack for an addict. He didn't know her name, but he knew every inch of her skin, how it flushed when she climaxed, her favourite novel and that every night she contemplated suicide. He didn't want to care, despising his rapt fascination of the woman. She was in love with her abusive husband. She was married, bound by a contract to the Bratva's hitman. She was off-limits. He was the only man who touched her right, and the crazy man took no small pains in ensuring he would be the last.
