Amelia Harriet is one of the highest paid model in the modelling industry while Duke Lennon is a simple construction worker that worked at Amelia's fiance's company, and sometimes join an underground fight. Both pleased and heated with desire and pleasure, the friendship that burns turn into a steamy ardor relationship that made miserable in trauma. Will they be able to forgive the people who ruin them? Or will they be able to move on and ignore the pleads and wants of their burning bodies.
"SMILE AMELIA, I don't want other people to think that I'm forcing you to attend to this party." Mom whispered while weakly pinching my elbow.
I secretly rolled my eyes after I winced at the pain it still made before plastering my fake and forced smile.
"Alissa Harriet, it was nice seeing you here. Thank you for accepting my invitation." One of mom's friends came to our side and hooked her arm to mom before facing me. "Oh, is this the pretty Amelia? You know I always see you in magazines with luxurious brands." She eyed me from head to toe, elegance shine as both her and mom scanned me as if I was a great statue.
"Well, thank you so much. You look so stunning at that.. Mc Raiel outfit you have there." I knew she wasn't wearing a Mc Raiel outfit but I just wanted to piss them off. I am literally bored with this party and none of these events are amusing.
Mc Raiel is one of the most famous luxury brands, but knowing their kind of person, including my mom, I know it was a big deal for them when it comes to brand calling and mistaking one brand as another is a big deal.
I saw how mom's eyes pierce on me, obviously realized that I made that mistake on purpose. Her friend, Miss Karis, gave me a weird and awkward smile as if she wanted to shout in annoyance but couldn't.
"W-Well, thank you, darling. But this isn't really a Mc Raiel brand. This is Athanyl, darling. Athanyl." She emphasizes the real name of the brand she was wearing so I quietly shrug it off.
As if I care.
Tension seems to build in between us and mom already recognizes it even before I could say a word. She knew I hated attending these kinds of parties but she always had to pull me here to show her friends that her only daughter, which is me, Amelia Harriet, is one of the top most highest paid models in the globe.
She always brings me as her trophy.
"Oh, come on. Why don't we go for a drink? I think some of our friends are waiting for us at our table." Mom beamed with a bright smile, fixing the commotion I just built. She told Miss Karis to go first, leaving me and mom on our spot. "That was so unprofessional of you, Amelia! You are a model, you must know every luxury brand there is!" She quietly scolds me while giving me her dagger look.
I shook my head and took a glass of wine when one of the servers came to our side. I was used to this kind of treatment from my mother, she never forgot telling me that I need to be perfect especially when I'm with her. I shrugged my shoulders and the reaction I gave her made her more fuming mad.
"Mom, chill. That was a joke, okay? Don't be too serious." I drank all the wine from the tall glass and even that made mom furious.
"Amelia, you are not acting like a lady. You shouldn't drink all that in a minute!" Now she didn't hide her voice and some of the people from the table near us were completely taken by her sudden outburst. She pointed her finger at my forehead, not caring if others were looking at us. "Don't you dare embarrass me in front of my friends if you don't want me to ask your dad to take all your money."
After what she told me she just straightly left and stormed out of where we were. I don't have any choice but to follow what they said. I'm already twenty-four but my parents never want to let me go, they want me to stay with them until I get married and I have no choice since I was an only child.
And besides, having a sibling wouldn't do me any good, not now that even I couldn't handle my parents attitude.
"Hey, what's with the face?"
I looked at my back and saw the owner of the voice. It was Zyra, she was a friend from college and also a supermodel just like me. She was carrying two wind glasses and I immediately accepted the other when she gave it to me.
"Your mom?" I didn't even tell her but she already knew what's been running around my mind.
I let out a loud sigh and watched the other dance in the middle of the huge mansion. The place smells luxurious, huge chandeliers, marble floorings and Victorian houses. Everything looks so perfect with luxury that people may think this kind of living was my cup of tea.
"It was always my mom why you constantly happen to see me in these kinds of events." I drank my wine, now in an elegant and girlish manner just like how mom wanted me to do. Zyra laughed at what I said before looking around. I just stared at her for a few minutes and I already knew that she was planning something wicked. "I don't like the smug on your face," my forehead knotted after she took my wine out of my reach.
"Let's go, I'm taking you with me." She pulled me on my wrist and dragged me to the corner of the mansion. We hid behind the curtains and made our way together with some servers. I'm not sure why she was doing this when we could just go out as simply as we could. She seems to see the curiousness on my face, leading her to a childish giggle. "I just feel like I want to be a spy."
I pulled my arm from her grip and went out to the parking space. She said her cousin, Margaux, was coming to fetch us up. They were planning to go to a club which I agreed but mom would totally go bizarre once she found out about this.
"Where is she?" I asked Zyra when I didn't find Margaux's car in the parking space.
"Maybe she's outside, we should go check." Both of us in our ball gowns went out and saw Margaux, smoking. The lit up cigarette was already in between her lips when she recognized us standing near her. To her surprise, she immediately pulled it off her lips and simply threw it on the ground and stomped on it.
"Sorry, I thought you'd take a whole hour before going out." She said with her deep voice and fixed the sleeves of her polo shirt. She's a tomboy. A pretty lady who acts like a rough and dominant man.
"Nah, it's good. Let's go." I opened the door on the backseat so Zyra could take the passenger's seat. Margaux manoeuvred the car to Lightened Bliss, a luxurious and prestigious night club where mostly famous people go since it was full of security. You are not allowed to bring your phone inside, except if you're a VIP.
"I'm excited. I want to have sex tonight so I hope I found a hot guy out here." It was Zyra. We were already on our way to the bar counter to order some drinks.
We didn't go to have our own table since our plan was to go on our separate ways. Margaux and Zyra wanted to get laid while me, I just want to drink the night away and be a rebel for the meantime.
"A glass of Margarita, please." I told the bartender and sat at one of the counter stools. The party was near its peak since it was almost ten in the evening. People were already partying at the dance floor, grinding their bodies into each other and making lewd movements.
It would be fun joining them but I am really not in the mood for my horniness.
"Here's your drink, madam."
"Thanks," I offered him a smile and roamed my eyes around the whole place. My body was dancing to the song, it was a party song first and even my breasts were already bouncing as I danced on my chair. But then seconds later the music stops, earning some hisses and grunts from the people. "Gosh, what a killjoy."
I drank the whole cocktail and ordered another shot of drink. Just when I was about to drink another shot, the music played again and this time, it was a sexy music. The atmosphere was back and heat immediately covered the whole place as I saw some people kissing and almost making out, same as the lyrics of the song.
"Do you want to dance?" A handsome man approached me. He looks so hot on his specs but he's not my type. He looks soft and gentle but I think he will do for tonight.
"Yeah, sure. Want me to offer you a lap dance?" I smiled at him teasingly and I saw how his throat moved out of dryness. I let out a loud chuckle when his ears started to get reddish.
"Sure. I would gladly accept your offer."
