POV
As the bell rang, the silent class started to fill with low noises while I continued to write in my notebook when our Maths teacher announced "Your last week's test results are here and I must say many people improved while many of you needed improvement too."
Saying this she began to call students to collect their test papers then she called my name "Cassandra Maria Jones!"
I looked up to her, removes my hoodie from my head then closes my notebook and move towards her, she gives my test paper saying "I'm really surprised, the way you once again scored the highest among all sections, no one can say that you joined just 3 months ago that too in the mid year."
I nodded my head in acknowledgement as she pats on my shoulder in encouragement.
I came back to my seat, my seat is at the end near the window which is quite to my liking and comfort. I was looking out of the window as the sunlight was falling on me giving a little warmth to me. It really makes me confused as "why I'm always so cold." My body is always so cold that even in the summer I need to wear a hoodie which always makes me look weird to others but as if I care about them.
This city is familiar and unfamiliar to me with best and worst memories. I was lost in my thoughts when I felt someone's presence beside me, I turned my face to see a girl wearing specs with light brown curly hairs staring at me nervously and as I looked at her she flinches then she bites her lips as she was mustering the courage, after taking a breath she asks "Can I look at your maths test paper?"
I remembered that she is the same girl who gave me a pen during the test, I took out my paper then gave it to her. She takes it from me with trembling hands which I found quite funny. She then looks at me gratefully "I'll return it to you after this class."
I shake my head in a negative way then get up saying "Take your time!" The only thing I learnt in these years is 'To Return Favors!' either they are good or bad. I was coming out from the classroom when I fell on the floor suddenly as someone stuck his foot. I turned to look at the person, who turned to be the school belly Betty, standing with her two minions laughing at me "Aww! The loner kissed the floor" Saying this she sits beside me by bending her one knee and continued "I was just helping you so that you don't forget your place, bloody charity case!" then shows me a 'L' sign which means Loser.
Childish! That was the first thought that came into my mind for them. They call themselves the biggest bullies of the school which is quite funny to me. I held the locket which was hanging around my neck then shook my head and got up after dusting off the dirt from my hands and hoodie. I picked my bag from the floor then left the class.
I opened my locker which was filled with books and papers. There was a wallet and an old phone in it. I opened the wallet and there was a photo of the world's most beautiful woman, Maria Jones, my mother and beside her photo there was another small photo of a boy and girl. I stared at the picture of the boy for a while before closing the wallet. As I switched on my phone there was a message notification. I knew who the sender was as I have only this number in my contact list. I opened the message which said "10pm, this Friday. Same place!" I read it then switched off the phone once again.
I was sitting in the cafeteria at the corner table and was having my lunch when all of a sudden many students started to rush here and there then stands in two rows while shouting and cheering, I looked in that direction and found the three most famous bad boys of Saint Martin's High School were entering there with other students behind. At the left side, the guy with a charming smile and giving flying kisses to everyone is Derek, who is known as the Playboy of the school, boys usually have flavor of the month or week but this guy is fond of flavor of the day. He changes girls everyday and he never contacts the same girl twice.
At the right side, the guy wearing cylindrical specs with messy hairs and a stoic face is Alex, the guy who is known to be involved in every fight but he's a genius too as he had won many competitions for the school.
At the center, is the Star Bad Boy of the school, Ryan, according to students no one can beat him in soccer and basketball and it is rumored that he is involved in many illegal things including different fights and there is a mysterious aura around him that makes girls go crazy either they're nerds or others, even many girls dated Derek so that Ryan can notice them.
In the last 3 months I heard a lot about them, as these 3 guys are the only topic the boys and girls have. Everyone in the school thinks that Betty is dating Ryan as she claims that she knows everything about him. I remembered that someone once told me "Just because you know about someone doesn't mean you are close to them." At that time I didn't understand his words but with the passage of time, I understood what he meant.
I finished my lunch then put on my hood and left the canteen while crossing the crowd of students I felt something was coming in my way, I bend to fix my laces and at the same time a cane drops in front of me and a mocking smile appears on my lips as I looked at the cane.
"You're mine, little puppy," Kylan growled against my neck. A soft gasp escaped my lips as his lips brushed my skin. My mind screamed at me to push him away-the Lycan Prince who had humiliated me again and again, but my body betrayed me, leaning into him before I could stop myself. He pressed his lips against mine, and his kiss grew more aggressive, more possessive as I felt my legs weaken. What was I doing? In a split-second, I pulled away and slapped him hard across the face. Kylan's eyes darkened, but the smirk on his lips exposed his amusement. "You and I both know we can't fight this, Violet," he said, gripping my wrist. "You're my mate." "And yet you don't want me," I replied. "You told me you were ashamed of me, that l'd never be your queen, that you'd never love me. So please, accept my rejection and let me go." "Never," he whispered, his grip tightening as he pulled me closer. "Soon enough, you'll be begging for me. and when you do-I'll use you as I see fit and then I'll reject you."
