He woke up late today again. It's 8:0'clock
He got out of bed as quick as he could and stretched out "arghhh" he felt pains as he moved his neck.
"What sort of pain is this?" he said to himself as he moved his neck gently.
He slid his feet into the white soft fluffy slippers his daughter bought for him on his forty fifth birthday, and moved to the kitchen to take a cup of water, his daily early morning routine. The doctor told him it's good for his health.
"Grace" he called out after drinking water.
"Grace" he called out again. Louder this time
"Sir, I'm coming sir" he heard the response from outside. She ran in seconds later.
"Good morning sir" she knelt down sharply as if she weighed nothing.
"I've told you to stop kneeling everytime" he told her as he made his way to his bedroom.
"You're my boss and..."
"Doesn't mean you should always kneel everytime you greet me" he interrupted her. He said as he walked into his room leaving her behind.
"Just make coffee for breakfast" he screamed to make sure she heard and waited for a response but didn't get one.
Marcus went to the bedroom, picked out his black suit with a green tie to match and laid them neatly on the bed.
He spends as much time as he wants, moreover he owns his company.
Minutes later after his bath, he put on his already laid down suit and knot his tie. He walked magnetically to the mirror beside his wardrobe to check himself out.
He loved what he saw, he has invested greatly in self love, a mentality he made sure his daughter develop. While he was still admiring himself his phone rang and he groaned.
He walked over to the stool beside his bed where his phone laid, looked at the caller ID and his countenance changed.
He picked up "what do you want?" Before he could get a response from the caller he added quickly
"What do you want mom?"

"My dad would never agree" Christiana said out loud immediately she dropped the phone she used to receive call from her Grand mother.
"What are you talking about?" Vee asked her.
Vee and Christiana has been friends from childhood. There bond has been unexplainable and Christiana hides nothing from Vee. They literally shares the same mother since they've met.
"Tiana" Vee called her as she's fondly called. "I asked you a question and you've just been staring into space"
Tiana made a sound kissing her teeth.
"Don't give me that, come out with whatever right now" Vee pestered her
"I don't know, I'm fed up for real" she threw her head on the cushion pillow beside her as she talked.
"With what?"
"Everything"
After that word silent ensued.
"Who called you?" Vee broke the silence, she was really figure out what went wrong within few minutes.
Tiana sighed.
"My Grandmother"
Without any other word being said, that explained everything.
"But why don't you try talking to your dad about it again" she said as she helped Tiana sit properly.
"You of all people should know how that will end"
"I've told you several times to be calm with your dad when talking to him about this"
"You talk as if being calm can solve all this"
"What has being stubborn and loud done?"
"Well..." She stopped as she was lost for words.
"She said she would call him her self, and I'm sure that won't end well" Tiana resumed.
"Let's hope for the best at least"
"Abel has been asking to meet my people" she paused "and I've been telling him to calm down" she added sluggishly.
"But till when exactly?"
"How would I tell him I know nothing about my Mother"
"Or how tell him that my father has refused to tell me anything about what I really need to know"
"Yes, how do I explain that my father, Marcus doesn't want to see nor talk to his mother" she raged on untill she ran out of breath
"Calm down Tiana" she said as calmly as she could and placed a hand on Tiana shoulder
"You really can't imagine how curious I am" Tiana said turning to Vee sharply "what exactly could have happened between them?"
