"Are you crazy?" exclaimed Aideen's mother.

"I had no idea she was pregnant," his father replied calmly.

"What the. Didn't you think about how Aideen would react to this?" his mother was enraged.

"He'll understand he's a smart boy, and they'll grow up together," his father said casually.

"What? So you're telling me to accept them? In my house? Really Edward?" - His mother was shocked that his father would say such a thing.

"I didn't say you'd accept them, what I mean is that they'll live here," his father insists.

"Damn you, I will not allow them, ever," his mother exclaimed, losing patience.

"They will, Veronica, and that is final; this is also my house" - His father's voice sounded stern.

Not his wife, but his employee.

"Please, Edward, don't be like this," Aideen's mother pleaded.

"If you can't handle it, I'll buy a house for them and visit and sleep there frequently."

"What? no, no," says Aideen's mother.

"Fine, I'm going to let them stay here. All of the women you get pregnant with will stay here."

"All right. Sounds good."

"But Edward, make sure the babies are all girls or else." - His mother stated, "My son will be the only heir of the stone's."

Aideen is reading a book in his room while his mother and father argue. Aideen can hear all of their yelling, but he chooses not to care because he is tired of his father's antics.

"Why is my little prince still reading when it's bedtime?" - His mother walked into his room without knocking.

"You should knock first, mom," Aideen said calmly, as if he hadn't heard them a second before.

"Ow, my bad. Sorry, baby. You're only five years old, but you're acting like a teen." - His mother laughed. "Now, now, young boy, it's time for you to sleep; you have classes tomorrow."

Aideen put down his book and went to bed, where his mother sat beside him.

"You know Aideen, you should marry a woman you truly love, okay?" said his mother.

"Why are you thinking about that? I'm still 5 years old; I'm too young for that," Aideen said, and his mother laughed.

"When you grow up, don't be like your father; learn a lesson from him and bury it in your head where no one can erase it." - His mother began lecturing him on life.

"Why would I do that, mommy?" Aideen inquired innocently.

"You know, baby, life is more than just being happy. If you are still alive, you will suffer in pain, and the lesson that mommy told you to bury inside your heart will guide you. You should be cautious about who you trust, honey. In this world, it's difficult to trust because even the person you truly trust can be your downfall. Remember that," Aideen nodded, a genius despite his age. "Tomorrow is going to be a big day for your dad, I suppose. Sleep well, young one. Goodnight, mommy loves you,"

"Goodnight mom" he said as his mother kissed his forehead and exited the room after dimming the light.

MORNING ARRIVES, and Aideen's mother woke him up early for breakfast. He washed up and then went down to the dining room. He wasn't surprised to see another woman dining in.

"Good morning mom, dad." he said, kissing his mother's cheeks before settling into his chair.

"Good morning, baby," his mother said, forcing a smile.

"Meet your Aunt Jolie, she will be your sister's mother," his father said.

"Really? All I thought a family only consisted of one mother? Well, that's what I learned in school," Aideen innocently stated, making Jolie uncomfortable.

"Aideen Drew!" - His father warned him. Aideen looked at his father innocently.

"What? I'm saying some facts here, Father. Am I wrong? Mommy?" he asked his mother, perplexed.

"OH. Umm Aideen baby? Let's start eating now okay? You still have classes," his mother said, which irritated him.

"All right. Whatever." He then began eating and abruptly stopped when his Father raised his voice at him.

"Manner, Aideen!" his father exclaimed.

"I have my manner, dad. The one who doesn't have that in all of us here was you! Bringing your mistress into our house where my mother, your wife, is, in front of your wife, and you just easily said that you have a child that carried by her? I'm dumbfounded, dad, really." Aideen said, shocking everyone.

"You won't understand this matter Aideen, you're still a child," his father pointed out.

"A kid? Now, dad? You'll use that as an excuse? Do you think I'll act like a kid at my age? Who wouldn't be mature if all his life all he could hear was his mother's screams and cries just because of someone who doesn't know what the word respect is?" Aideen gasped for air after saying that to his father directly.

"How dare you speak back to me in that tone, young man!" exclaimed his father.

"Aideen, please stop," his mother begged, but Aiden's rage would not go away.

"How dare you treat my mother like that!" - Aideen lost his cool for a kid who despises his father so much.

"You can live here, but be nice to my mother; she's the only one who has the right to demand in here, not you," he said, looking at his father's mistress.

"Aideen," his mother said.

"I'll excuse myself now, mother; I'm full, thank you for the food,"

Aideen said as she walked away from the table and the kitchen.

Since that day, his mother has never stopped telling him life lessons while he sleeps. His father brought another pregnant woman into their mansion, then months later his father leaves for a business in Italy for over 6 months, and Jolie was getting on his mother's nerves. Jolie continues to own items in their home, which irritates his mother.

Aideen was about to leave their house for school one afternoon when he heard his mother's voice arguing with someone, who was obviously Jolie, and a minute later he heard Jolie scream in pain.

"Mother, what's going on? Why is she screaming?"

"Aideen? Call the hospital now, please baby?" - his mother assisted Jolie, and he did as he was told.

"Hello? Is this the hospital? Could you please send someone here to our house? I believe a woman is in labor right now. Please hurry? This is in the stone mansion," he said as soon as someone picked up the phone.

Minutes later, an emergency ambulance arrived and they were rushed to the hospital, where nurses rushed Jolie to the emergency room. His mother is on the phone with someone, who could be his father. He was just sitting there watching everyone else go about their business.

It had been an hour since his mother had spoken to him.

"Baby, why don't you go to school? You're very late, you don't want to be absent from school, right?" asked his mother, to which he nodded, but before he could leave, the doctor arrived.

"Patient's family?" inquired the doctor.

"Here, doc," his mother replied, approaching the doctor.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Stone, we did everything we could, but the baby did not survive"- the doctor tilted his head down and his mother was stunned.

"Thank you, doc," his mother said, smiling sadly as the doctor bowed and left. Jolie was transferred to one of the hospital rooms after about a minute.

When his mother's phone rang, Aiden recognized the caller as his father. His mother sighed and answere

"How was it? Did the baby-"- His mother Veronica interrupted what his father was about to say.

"The baby didn't survive; he died," Veronica said, making her husband gasp.

"He? Veronica you-" Veronica cut his husband's words once more.

"I what Edward?" Veronica smirked as she walked away from her son. "Stay there Aideen, your father and I will talk," Veronica said.

Aideen nodded as she walks away and her husband said this, "You murdered the child!" that was never a question.

"Ow did I? Do you have proof? "-Veronica said, attempting to irritate his husband.

"You evil woman. What exactly did that child do to you? He's innocent," her husband is certain.

"Really? Do you have proof that I was doing it? Huh? My beloved husband?" Veronica laughed.

"Veronica!" exclaimed her husband.

"That was for what you did to me and what you did to cause my son to be the way he is now. That's a warning Edward. Keep that in mind."- she greeted her teeth "And ow. Make sure it's a girl! A GIRL doesn't disappoint me!"- she said before hanging up the phone. She smiled at her son and asked, "Let's go?" They stood in front of the hospital, waiting for a car. "Is it okay if you'll be absent this afternoon?" she asked her son Aideen, who simply nodded.

"Mommy, may I inquire?"- Aideen appears sad.

"Of course, what is it, baby?"

"Why won't mommy leave daddy? He's making mommy hurt," her son innocently asked, causing her heart to ache.

"I'll answer that someday, baby, okay? Let's get inside!" - her son simply nodded and entered the car.

Aideen dozed off on the way home. She sighed, looking at her son's face.

"Ow, I hope I can leave your father young one. I love him even if he's hurting me. And aside from that, I know you wanted to have a happy and complete family, so this is all for you. I'll do whatever it takes so you can have what you want, a complete family even if it's just complete and not happy as you've dreamed it would be. You'll understand this when you grow up, but for now, let mommy handle this" She smiled and closed her eyes as she fell asleep.
