"Kris!!!! wake up! you're gonna be late for school!" her mom yelled from the door.
"ughhh" she groaned as she tossed herself grumpily on her bed. "not like they'd know am late anyway" she thought before heading for her bathroom sluggishly.
Moments later, she came out with a red towel wrapped around her chest and a towel wrapped around her hair. She turned to her walk in closet where she met her mother going through her stuffs.
"seriously ma, why are you going through my stuffs?" she asked her mother as she dried her hair with another smaller towel.
ignoring the scrutinising gaze of her daughter, she spoke up "can't I go through my daughter's stuff to see if she needs anything?" she asked jokingly earning a chuckle from Kristal.
"what ever ma, I need my privacy now." Kristal said while trying to hide her irritation.
"baby don't me mad at me okay....fine I'm leaving." her mother said as she exited the walk in closet. On getting to the door, she stopped before reminding her to hurry up for breakfast.
"yeah yeah...I want to dress up!" Kristal replied her mom before closing the door and locking it.
'that was close' she thought as she freed her hair from the towel before teleporting to her walk in closet. She dried her dye hair with the hand dryer before going through the cloths in her wardrobe. She settled with a blue baggy top, white joggers, a pair of white sneaker and a red headband.
Taking one last look at the full body mirror, she smiled and walked out of the room.
Downstairs.
Her father was sitting at the dining table while going through his tablet while her mother was serving breakfast.
"Maurice, let's get Kristal a private teacher" he suggested as soon she came out of the kitchen with pancakes.
"why? she's been doing pretty well at school " Maurice replied her husband who sighed.
"yeah, she's doing fine but I can't risk having her using her powers in public"
"oh Lucas, Kris is a big girl. she knows when to use her powers" Maurice said as she sat down.
"yeah of course she is...I only wanted your opinion Lucas replied before drop the tablet.
"morning pops" Kristal greeted her father with a peck on his cheeks before sitting down for breakfast. Without saying anything, she started eating. After taking to bites off a pancake she bided her parents farewell before teleporting.
Maurice face palmed "we really need to find a private tutor for her " Lucas chuckled before saying "you didn't want to get her a private tutor, so why bother?"
"just shut up" Maurice yelled at her husband before storming off to the kitchen.
At school...
Kristal appeared in the girls restroom looking like she had been there earlier. Nonchalantly, she walked out and headed straight to her class. Few minutes later, class started with mathematics. The lecturer walked in with his Harry porter glasses and stacks of A4 paper. He dropped them on the podium before clearing his throat. lecturer ordered them to switch seats. At the end of the arrangement, Kristal sat next to the school's female bully named Beatrice.
"you have an hour to finish your test. Malpractice is not allowed. Start"
immediately, everyone got busy with their sheets. Half way into the test, Beatrice started poking Kristal with her pen.
"hey weirdo! Pass me your booklet!" she demanded
"and why would I do that?" Kristal questioned with an annoyed tone.
"well duh, you don't deserve to pass this test" She snorted.
Kristal snorted and then ignored her. Seeing that she is being ignored, Beatrice tossed a sheet of paper towards her and then called the attention of the lecturer.
"Sir Wills! I caught Kristal cheating during the test!!" she reported making the class gasp. Kristal raised a brow at her.
"Kristal is that true?" he asked her straightaway to which she replied "no."
"yeah brat, how do you explain the sheet of paper that is lying next to your feet huh?" Beatrice pressed harder as she thought evilly 'if I don't pass this test, you don't have to pass it either!'
The lecturer glanced at both Kristal and Beatrice as he slowly bent to pick the paper. Without finding out the details, he told Kristal to submit her test paper and follow him to the principals office after the test officially ends.
Kristal replied cool with a "hmm"
Some of her classmates whispered among themselves.
"she doesn't look like someone that can cheat no?"
"yeah...even though she looks like a freaking vampire" the class burst out laughing much to the annoyance of Sir Wills.
"it seems you don't value your score" pointing to brad-the guy that referred to her as a vampire- he said "ten Mar have been deducted from your score"
as soon as he said that, the class remained quiet.
Thirty minutes later....
Kristal was escorted to the principal's office by Sir Wills. On getting there, the principal looked at her worriedly
"Miss Gael, could you please explain why you'd be cheating during test? Although I trust you are not that type of person but I still need explanations. "
Kristal didn't respond, rather she asked "we have cctv camera's installed in the classroom right?"
The lecturer immediately replied "yes we do! I'll have the clip retrieved" he said and left the principal's office not without glancing at Kristal with irritation.
Moments later, he walked in looking a downcast.
"Principal, the footage has been sent to you"
Without saying anything, he opened the file that was sent to him, there he witnessed how Beatrice disturbed Kristal. Facing the maths teacher he asked.
"you didn't look into the matter did you?"
"no....sir. Besides based on her looks, she's capable of....." He trailed off on seeing the death stare that was thrown at him by the principal.
"you are dismissed" The principal shunned him. Just as Sir Wills left the office, he faced Kristal apologetically.
"I apologise for his behaviour"
Kristal simply smiled before leaving the office. On her way out she bumped into Beatrice who scowled at her.
"Just because you got away this time doesn't mean am done with you" she whispered.
Kristal rolled her eyes at her and walked away leaving her fuming in anger.
"you didn't just walk out on me, did you?" she asked as she grabbed Kristal's hand while digging her manicured nails in her flesh.
"apart from the fact that you're dumber than a mutated monkey, you're also blindly senseless...you saw me walking out on you, yet you still need to ask me again. I must say, your parents are wise but it turn out that they had laid a terrible egg " Kristal spat at her before snatching her hand from Beatrice's grip.
"why....you..b*tch!!! I'll kill you!" Beatrice yelled as she tried to pull Kristal's hair. Kristal maneuvered through her attacks skilfully before pushing her face first into the locker.
"weakling" Kristal muttered before walking back to the class.
As soon as she entered the class, everywhere became silent. She sluggishly walked back to her seat after throwing a death stare to the math teacher.
"witch! you seem to have lost your respect huh?" he yelled at her.
Kristal simply ignored him and placed her head on her desk. The rest of the day passed in a blur. Soon class ended for the day. Everyone hurriedly left the class, leaving Kristal behind.
Slowly she stoop up from her seat and went to the restroom. After doing her business, she stepped out only to meet Beatrice and her minions waiting for her at the entrance.
Ignoring their presence, she tried to leave but was grabbed by her hair from behind.
"now I've got you, what are you going to do? huh? look at me like some psycho?" Beatrice mocked and her minions laughed.
"well even if she did look at you like that, I wouldn't be surprised..." one of her minions spoke up earning a chuckle from Beatrice.
Despite their taunts, Kristal didn't say a word, instead she glared at the girl that pulled her hair. As if possessed by something, she let go of Kristal's hair and walked to Beatrice then pulled her hair harder than how she pulled Kristal's hair. The other minions slowly walked out of the restroom leaving Kristal alone with Beatrice and the minion.
"how should I deal with you?" Kristal asked Beatrice without any emotions on her face making her panic.
"you!! you witch!!! let go of me!!" she kept yelling.
Kristal smiled coldly "you are really blind...I'm not the one holding you...and just before you start yelling for help, you're all alone with me...no one would answer you"
"monster!!! you're a monster!!!" Beatrice spat at her before turning to face her minion "you c*nt! let go!!"
An inaudible chuckle escaped Kristal lips. Facing the minion, she said "you can go" the girl let go of Beatrice hair. Just as she did, few extensions fell off causing Beatrice to be embarrassed.
"so much for fake hair" Kristal stood on her feet and left the restroom.
"I know where you got your weirdness from...from your slutty mother and from your bastard father " Beatrice said with a smirk as she held her aching head. Kristal stopped walking. Just as she did, Beatrice hair started emitting smoke. Soon after, her hair was on fire. As she was yelling and trying to quench the fire, Kristal walked off smugly to the stairs before teleporting to her room.
"you wench!!!!" Beatrice yelled in horror after getting rid of the fire. She glanced at the mirror unconsciously only to see that she wasn't burnt, but all her hair was gone...not even a stubble was left.
she passed out with one thought in mind
"I'll make that b*tch pay!!!!"
